Re: Pokémon FireRed And LeafGreen Are Already "Best Sellers" On The Switch eShop Charts

Dazman

@Tibob I don't think the time it was made matters? People still pay to see the Mona Lisa for example and that was painted in 1503.

It's already incredibly cheap too: 20 bucks//euros or 16.99 sterling. This is like 2 hours on minimum wage in Europe or 3 in the US. Literally anybody can afford it.

Edit: I could understand if they were selling it for 50 or above but 20, I mean common!

Re: Pokémon Presents February 2026: Time, Date, How To Watch

Dazman

@Pillowpants You do have to wonder though that if significant time is dedicated to boring stuff then why was FRLG announced already and why is Pokopia getting a treehouse today? Either Nintendo ruined all the good announcements or they're freeing up space for something better!

Re: Pokémon Presents Announced For 27th February, 2026

Dazman

I for one hope they do not announce Gen 10: hear me out. They've already broken the pattern with the mainline game timings - so it's likely they're taking the time to polish it. But it's only a year or so late. Personally, I'd rather have a seven year wait and get a BOTW then have a SV every three years.

Re: Pokémon FireRed And LeafGreen Officially Revealed For Switch

Dazman

Let's be realistic, Nintendo were always going to charge for this. Don't like it? Then don't buy them - it's that simple. I already own them on GBA and have all the stuff necessary to transfer to Switch but I'll still buy them. Indeed, the price is trivial. Even a min-wager can work like 2 hours and afford it.

Re: Jigglypuff Is Joined By Up-And-Comer Lady Gaga In Pokémon's Super Bowl Ad

@ShadLink A single cherry picked bug is not good evidence of something being janky i.e. "of extremely poor or unreliable quality". Indeed, every bit of software in existence has bugs bar some incredibly simple programs. It is also without dispute that the original games were of a decent enough quality relative to those of the time. It is only over the last few generations that standards have begun to slip noticeably, and in particular, performance issues began to spring up most around the shift to 3D seen from Sun and Moon (see the double battles). Post-Sw/Sh the quality of the games relative to not only their past entries but to their peers in the game space has taken a complete nosedive.

Re: More Switch Games Have Received Switch 2 Compatibility Updates

Dazman

@garfreek I bought both of them. I prefer the pixel art style of DPP, but the ones on switch are good: they're just missing the platinum content! But the new features like having your Pokémon follow you and the enhanced underground are really neat. I would recommend buying them depending on your financial situation - if you think "it's only 40 quid" then just buy them otherwise I'd think about it in terms of priorities.

Edit: if you had to choose between BDSP and Legends Z-A I'd definitely skip Legends for example

Re: Nintendo's Trademarking 'Virtual Console' Again, But Don't Get Your Hopes Up

Dazman

If there's one thing you can guarantee about Nintendo it's that they won't sell you the products you want. They've probably just patented this so they can try to use it to sue.

It's a shame, given it's abundantly clear by this point that releasing new consoles is a dud: you could release a new DS game and there'd be a sizable market ready to go.

Re: Nintendo Responds To Reported 'Crimson Collective' Hack With Official Statement

Dazman

All hackers are really telling you is that they're unable to control themselves, have zero patience and no moral compass. It's not a good look.

It's the same for the people spreading it.

It's the worst when these things happen, then you go on X and it's the first thing you see. Just who wants that shoved in their face? It's a good reason to quit social media and stop reading certain outlets (or their comment sections).
