Re: Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Officially Reveals Nickelodeon Collaboration

@Anti-Matter while I'm more lenient and not as passionate as your thoughts against this, you do bring up a good point of how a Yakuza character could be included in a game that looks to be rated E for Everyone in my region. Obviously free advertising for other Sega IP and a treat for those fans. I wasn't too sheltered from stuff as a youngster (i have older siblings) but i could see it being odd if a young kid asks their parents "what's Yakuza mean?" after playing an innocent racing game. It is always good to question the integrity of corporations, why they do things, etc. so I'm with you there even though i don't agree with this particular argument.

One of my best friends and I still talk in the 'moo' language which is rooted from us playing the South Park game on (I believe) the N64. I remember a 'cow gun' in it as well that was silly. Whole game was perfect comedic fodder for idiot 10/11 year olds like ourselves

Re: Talking Point: With Prices Rising, Are Your Gaming Habits Changing?

For me not much will change, whenever I get Switch 2. Based on a combo of "limited" gaming time and interests, I've always tried to purchase games I'm (mostly) sure I'd actually play through, whether they're $5 or $50. I'm sure I've passed up on some awesome titles due to my limited scope but at the same time I haven't felt a major financial or mental hit and have enjoyed plenty of old+new titles.

@-wc- you make a lot of good points and this response isn't arguing any. I think more than anything, the FF6 comparison just shows how much more 70 bucks could go back then and relatively speaking, 80 bucks now doesn't go as far as 70 then. Meaning in 1994, instead of purchasing FF6 for $70 you could like fill up the car, grab movie tickets with snacks and so on with some change. While today 80 might just fill up the tank and maybe get you a single movie ticket with snack (I'm using vague, uncited examples, I know). But more or less that's how interpreted it. I know it doesn't address other points like cartridge production or greedy profiteers but in terms of bang for your buck it might not be too far off

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (19th April)

@datamonkey I grew up with it so my opinions definitely a little skewed. I think NL gave an 8/10 which is around the highest I'd give it to from what i remember. The original (not remastered) soundtrack is still fantastic, the dialog/story is fun and dont think its an overly long title. Not sure how someone would find the battle system without ever playing it, perhaps a little simple depending on taste. Hopefully you have a great time with it (whenever that time exists!)

Started Super Mario RPG, I forgot how funny n charming it was after all this time. Square+Nintendo was such a dream collab in the 90s.
I also finished Final Fantasy 2 and was pleasantly surprised the difficulty went up some in the second half. Not a stone cold classic but happy I played. Have a great one folks!
