Re: Nintendo Shuts Down Live-Action Zelda Fan Film, 'Lost In Hyrule'

Hypothetically - if a similar KS was made for a Zelda movie in a more ultra-violent (but tasteful) way, like game of thrones or something, would it still be a problem for people if N took action? I mean like nudity and very violent, etc, in the world of Zelda but not necessarily how Nintendo has presented their games.

The reason I ask is because I believe if Ninty says yes to one of these projects (kid-friendly or not) maybe it just opens up further headaches for N and others who try it down the line and are rejected. It's not like Nintendo is partnering with these folks so in an effort to avoid any type of dialogue, they just shut anything down. Just thoughts, idk this stuff in detail

I'm continuing Ys Origin. As a first time Ys-player I have to say it is freaking awesome. Challenging boss fights, perfect amount of difficulty (hard mode), the overall aesthetic, etc - simply a winner. It's exciting jumping into a new series that really clicks, my copy of Memoire is already in the mail. Have a great weekend folks

@Zuljaras ah I see, I was thinking incorrectly. I was thinking how you needed like a Xbox gamepass or something to play with friends, which you don't need to play solo (and I eventually found out ). Unlike what you're saying which yeah is really annoying.

Hoping it does come to S2 with offline, I don't get much use of the XS and would love to have it on a Nintendo system

@NeonPizza i don't disagree but I just think they're shooting for a way different demographic these days. I'm not sure how many commercials from back then were geared towards parents of kids and not just the kids/teens themselves. They could totally charm it up here, I agree, but they're trying to sell consoles to adults (who may have loved those 90s commercials or maybe have a stigma against games) just as much as to kids in some of these. I wouldn't expect a stormtrooper to bust thru the door is all, theyre totally laying into that "family console" angle. But yeah I agree, pretty forgettable

At the end of the 3rd mansion in Luigis Mansion 2. I must say my expectations were low for this game, I figure LM3 would have simply done everything better and I'd be left wanting more. Not the case for me at all and I love the switch up with it being level-based, bigger ghost selection and just the overall atmosphere. Just as good as LM3 and hopefully continue to enjoy

Got it for my 6th birthday a week after release. Still remember my older brother trying to pull a fast one on the car ride back and saying "hey if you let me play for an hour first you can have the SNES for as long as you want after." My response? I cried and Mom set the record straight. Lovely game and great memories playing it
