Re: Nintendo Switch System Update 18.0.0 Is Now Live, Here Are The Full Patch Notes

BoFiS

Of all the things, what I really wish the Switch OS had was a way to trigger an "UPDATE ALL" process that would go through and download updates for EVERYTHING that had an available update. This could even just be a function added to the eshop app I guess, but it's annoying that it only really auto-updates the top 10 most recent games, and beyond that you'd have to go through and manually check/update things to pull the new version.

Re: Review: Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered - Bare-Bones, But A Thrilling Nostalgia Trip

BoFiS

Just finally popped this into my Switch to get excited for the new movie (Frozen Empire) and am so upset that they let you invert the Y-axis for both camera and proton pack controls, but NOT the x-axis! This is really bothering me, who wants to only invert Y and not also X? I wish there was the option because I keep spinning around and turning in the wrong directions. Sadly even the built in Switch button mapping options do not let you manually invert stick axis

Re: New 'Plucky Squire' Gameplay Demonstrates Its Ridiculously Cool Concept

BoFiS

"Wishlist Now!" cept it's still NOT listed on the eshop... I've had a tab open with the search since I first read about this game, and reload it in hopes the listing will appear and I can finally wishlist it for later. It would really benefit all game developers if they'd get the listings on the eshop ahead of even having a release date for wishlist purposes.

Re: Players Need To Start "Feeling Comfortable" With Not Owning Games, Says Ubisoft Subs Boss

BoFiS

Nope, no, see, I subscribe to Nintendo Online with the Expansion, and it's so annoying how the first time you launch each of the emulation apps it checks online for your subscription, limiting where and when you can play them if you haven't in the past week! It's nice we get all these games included, but the online requirements get to be annoying, especially on a portable console I often play on my commutes without any internet. Same goes for the Mario Kart DLC, which I'm tempted to buy outright just so my Mario Kart 8 doesn't also have to dial in and check every week before it launches. It's much better to own the game, especially physically, and have it work fully offline. Then I can share it with friends or family too.

Re: Sonic Superstars' Sales Were 'Slightly Weaker' Than Sega Had Anticipated

BoFiS

Maybe boss fights should be separate stages AFTER each level instead of tacked on the end of the level, so we could skip them or at least, just retry them without having to go through the entire level. Really, that's when I stopped playing, I got stuck on maybe the second boss in the game, tried for 2 days, and then moved onto Mario Wonder and haven't gone back...

Re: Talking Point: If 'Switch 2' Is Backwards Compatible, What Will You Do With Your Switch?

BoFiS

I'm the oldest of three brothers, and while my younger brother has a Switch of his own, our middle brother does not, so I'd pass it onto him along with some of my physical games I've already beaten. But it would be great if current games transferred over and even if the carts still worked as I haven't necessarily played/beaten all of them! Would be EVEN nicer if it could output even old games at 4k or something with patches/updates

Re: Poll: WarioWare: Move It! Is Out Today, Will You Be Getting It?

BoFiS

I love WarioWare games, but am turned off by requirement to use joycons and motion controls, like WarioWare Move-It, especially since I don't actually own any other joycons cept the ones that are attached to my Switch all the time, so makes this less appealing as I can't play multiplayer either without buying more joycons

Re: Soapbox: 'Switch 2' Doesn't Really Need Backwards Compatibility

BoFiS

It doesn't need to, but if it did, I'd sell or pass my Switch down to my brothers or daughter for them to enjoy, while if it's not backwards compatible, I'd keep it around for all those games I bought and haven't gotten to yet... might also make me less likely to buy as much digitally next time around.

Re: Review: Horizon Chase 2 - More Arcade Racing, With Some Bumps In The Road

BoFiS

I LOVED Horizon Chase Turbo on Switch, and have been fully enjoying Horizon Chase 2 on Switch as well, despite a few lil hiccups, as mentioned here. I will say the developers are already aware of the button prompt bug as well as performance issues and have already promised patches are on the way. Considering how well they supported and kept updating Horizon Chase Turbo before this, I'm more than happy with my early purchase and I expect to only improve with time. The game is very fun and reminds me of early Need for Speed (1 and 2) titles and other 3D racers from the 90s, and with a fantastic soundtrack to boot!
