Know what this makes me want, a 1994 EA/Bullfrog Theme Park remaster/remake...loved that as a kid on our DOS PC

Why not just use the version without the real chants from v1.2??

As I said before, I hope they add as many tracks from Smash Bros as possible, even if that confuses what game things are from a little. Also would love to get Luigi's Mansion 2 and Zelda Link Between Worlds music too.

They should add everything from Smash Bros they possibly can, so many good tracks across all of Nintendo's history plus remixes and re-recordings.

Oh, fun, the first version of Tetris I ever played was the Spectrum HoloByte game, which came on both 5.25" and 3.5" floppy. That said, I still wish among ALL these games they had managed to include the Tengen NES Tetris release with coop mode.

Prolly just because the demo is now running at a higher frame rate than N64 could manage. Though there used to be a cheat code to make you run faster too.

Maybe I'll finally play more than the first level this time...

Wait, N64 games support widescreen?! Or is this an emulation change, because if so, they should allow the option for all N64 games if you want to toggle proper widescreen rendering (if possible)

They should all be using FPGA systems, like from Analogue, but since it's Nintendo, they have their own in-house emulators they could be using too

Are they also going to release this digitally on Switch??

Still sad it doesn't have a round screen like the last-gen Echo Spot, which is on Woot today for $30, and quite a bit more functional though without fun Nintendo alarms unless you set a specific sound/music track yourself of course

Didn't get in, but since it required Switch Online+Expansion subscription, I assume it's to play test, or stress test a new online, multiplayer game, maybe Balloon Fight 99 or something unexpected like that

Perhaps it's because I'm playing in handheld always (on my subway commutes) but it's been barely noticeable and certainly hasn't affected gameplay in the least.

Of course, had the game been locked at 30fps, either people wouldn't notice any slowdown, or they'd complain it never goes above 30fps...which used to be just fine for most games

Oh nice, I watched the trailer and hoped they'd announce this for Switch!

And that is why I've owned almost every Nintendo console they've ever released, because they continue to innovate and do their own thing, which is much more fun imo

I've been looking forward to this game for a while, I really hope that they can iron out some or all of the performance issues with patches later on...unfortunately for us, you won't update this review if that is the case though. It's so hard to find updated reviews that reflect the often times improved states of games after a big update... are developers allowed to set the clock speed of the Switch while it's playing their games? It seems like this happens a lot of the time where the development kits are running at a higher clock speed than our retail Switches, so things that worked fine when they tested end up being jankey once released and require patches to fix.

Wouldn't it be so nice if you just signed into your Nintendo Account and were offered the option to re-download ALL your Switch purchases to the new system and make that your new primary system? Also will it use the same or similar cart system for physical games (esp if they want to let you play old ones)

Not just feel like an NES game, the 8-bit version of the game is being printed on NES carts and will run on NES hardware!

Oh, so they FINALLY created the thing that 3rd parties have been selling for years...does this imply that the joy-con design won't change, or at least the rails/charging design won't change on the Switch 2 and this accessory will carry over? Otherwise, why put this out so late in the cycle??

The all important question: can you invert both camera axis?

Local multiplayer might be a reason to get this digitally, though I kinda wish they had included more games and remix challenges from NES Remix 1 and 2 in here as a bonus since those were also fun.

This is awesome, they should make a trackball controller for Switch to play this on...also Marble Madness as it was meant to be played

Feel like the change in graphics style makes the game look worse. It used to have really high res (for the time) pixel art isometric levels, and these flat-shaded 3D models just look simpler and change it to be very cartoony...guess we'll see how it progresses.

DAY ONE, this is such a great idea, and I loved the Link's Awakening graphics style, so I'm glad they're making a new 2D Zelda where you actually, finally, play as Princess Zelda!

The first Game Boy I ever used, which was my cousin's, had Tetris in it of course, and I was hooked! It's the one game I've bought and played on literally every single computer and console I've ever owned.

This is another title I've had a tab open to the Nintendo eshop search page hoping one day a listing shows up so I can wishlist it and not lose track of it before release...would be nice if anything announced, even without a release date, at least got a landing page so we could save/wishlist it for later...

Shame I can't wishlist this already...

Nintendo should just hire him and finish this project, maybe even match the graphics style to the fantastic Link's Awakening remake/engine

In case anyone else was wondering, I can confirm, there are settings for inverting X and Y camera axis under accessibility. This is a day-one buy for me mostly to play along with my daughter who wishes I wasn't allergic to irl cats.
