Maybe if this was a $10 digital collection, or included the superior Capcom SNES Aladdin I'd bite, but for now I'll wait for a sale or will just play these on PC where I have GOG copies of both plus Jungle Book, but no one cares about that one
Niiice, these will be the first Williams tables I'm re-buying on Switch as I have every table inside Pinball Arcade on my PC anyway, but Monster Bash is the best.
Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag on WiiU was only about 13GB, so if we assume Rogue is similar, they could both fit onto a Switch cart, so I really hope this is correct because no way I'm ever buying the physical edition of a game if the game is not on the cart inside
Ugh, I refuse to buy a physical copy of a game that does not even contain the actual game on the cart! The box art looks different for the US, at least right now on Amazon, so I guess we'll have to see, but certainly not preordering until I know for sure.
Yeah, also you can't even play it offline, same with other Nintendo smartphone games, which is absurd for single player affairs. Until they fix that, allow bluetooth headphones to be paired, and stop with all the nonsense microtransactions, I'll stick with Switch games.
So when are they going to remove the loot boxes and microtransactions, make a paid pro version, and allow it work OFFLINE? Oh, never? Fine, I'll just play Mario Kart 8 DX on my Switch and wait for an actual sequel
This game is beautiful and adorable, I have not had any issues with the performance, I mean if the entire game ran at 30fps we'd never see a dip and people would be happy, but then some might complain it's not 60fps. I'll take this where it's 60fps most of the time, especially when it matters, and just when traveling between areas it dips as it loads multiple tiles at once. Remember, on the original you'd only see a single screen at a time, now you see into the distance and neighboring areas as you walk around.
And then how many immediately uninstalled it since it's trash? I TRIED to install it, and after reaching 100% downloaded, the Play Store crashed and didn't finish installing. Then I read more about the loot boxes and microtransactions and decided better to stick to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
They really need to NOT require a persistent internet connection to play their games. That is why I never bought Mario Run, and that is why I won't even bother downloading this piece of loot-box garbage. IAP and monitizations is what's wrong with smartphone gaming today, and it's sad Nintendo is one of the worst offenders now.
Glad they are supporting the game with an update to add inverted controls. I'm still upset with the Rime developers for refusing to add inverted camera controls
Pfft, stop spreading rumors of a Switch Pro, I doubt they ever had plans for such a thing, that's what the longer battery life updated Switch is I'm sure, and this is the only actually new Switch coming.
Nice, I hope it uses the good Kirby theme music. Also hope someday they add a random themes option so I can cycle through them the way the 3DS allowed.
Screw free to start nonsense, even if this was fun, making it free to start makes it NOT fun, meaning I will not be downloading this. Maybe it would have been cool as DLC for Kirby Star Allies, but as free to start, meh
Finally, now it would also be nice if we could hide the pattern in the black bars on the right and left so it was JUST black, but I'll certainly take what I can get
I hope this just means MORE than monthly releases, but I do hope they keep expanding both libraries, esp SNES which needs a lot more games to be compelling, especially anything that's actually 2-player. Also hopefully at least covering everything that was on the NES and SNES Mini/Classics.
Any comparisons with the excellent Scott Pilgrim game put this game on my radar now, looks great! Too bad they never even worked on backwards compatibility for the Scott Pilgrim game, which is the only reason I boot up my 360 anymore.
Having Kickstarted this, I'm just glad it's ever going to be completed and released, especially on Switch as getting a WiiU copy at this point would have been frustrating. Might be the longest I've waited for a Kickstarter...
After being burned by Rime I feel the need to ask this, can you invert BOTH the x and y axis when it comes to camera controls (and also flying controls)?
Shame they are NOT hd remakes using higher res backgrounds and sprites, but just emulation of the Genesis Aladdin and Genesis/SNES Lion King games developed by Virgin, aka NOT the Capcom Aladdin that was on SNES
If they patch this to allow for non-filtered sprites in Grandia 1, and fix all the audio and graphical glitches in 2 I might consider this collection as I was looking forward to it, but as it stands, it's overpriced for the poor job they did.
Ugh, I was all excited to finally play Grandia HD Collection, but not until they fix the awful smeary upscaled sprites in the first game and allow for original sprites instead
Then I guess I have no plans to give EA any of my money, not that I have such high hopes, the last good NES game was by Criterion and did come to WiiU.
VICE: Project Doom is a fantastic, underappreciated NES gem. Know that there is a hidden playtest mode that's super easily activated on the Switch: press and hold A as the game boots up, so basically when you select it from the NES menu, just keep holding A. Then, the P2 controller (which you'll have to turn on) can access a level select and sound test.
@Arehexes The Genki adapter uses apt-x LL and I've found the audio to be perfectly in sync, it's one of my favorite accessories for the Switch these days.
Umm, this looks larger and not even as good as the Genki that I Kickstarted and LOVE, which does apt-x low latency and allows you to pair a second set of bluetooth headphones for multiplayer sharing of audio too. http://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07JZKXSQT
Or perhaps Switch owners were already burned by EA during WiiU era and now have given up caring about them or their games entirely. I don't own a PS4 or Xbone, and play games almost exclusively on my Switch...but do not own a single EA game for it.
They should have a website where you can customize your joy-con combo when purchasing instead of only selling certain sets and not every individual one.
I hope they make another website for finding, and saving courses. It would be great if you could link to a course by it's number, and then bookmark/save that course through the website and it'd show up in your downloads or a "saved courses" area on the console.
Meh, I DO NOT trust streaming games, and appreciate that I can play my Switch on the subway every day, and on airplanes when I travel, and that not being connected has no bearing on it. That's also why I have yet to buy a single NIntendo smartphone game, because they all require an active data connection, making them useless on my two daily commutes.

ROFL, the first photo is from an Amazon listing for Switch Mario Tennis accessories, but then has the joy-cons removed and these wiimotes inserted instead:

Re: Talking Point: Please Nintendo, Can We Get These Things In Switch Firmware Version 10?
Yes to all of these, though it would be amazing if they ever made the Genki redundant by adding good apt/x low latency bluetooth headphone support

The two things the Switch lacks that seemed weird: bluetooth headphone support and a way to message friends to play online together.
