Activision has created a limited edition Crash Bandicoot Switch console to celebrate the release of Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, but you'll almost definitely never get your hands on one.

As seen in the picture above, the console features a picture of Aku Aku on the back with a green and orange colour theme running throughout - the Joy-Con are actually green on the front and orange on the back. As if to tease desperate fans even more, each system has a number in the top right-hand corner, showing off the fact that only three of these consoles are in existence.

It would appear that each of these systems have been sent to various influencers for online coverage, with one such example shown below. You can check out the console in all its glory thanks to this unboxing video, but we must warn you that the unboxing process itself is almost sickeningly brutal. That poor, poor cardboard.

Surely it can only be a matter of time before Nintendo releases its own character-focused Switch consoles, too, just like the many designs we've seen for the Nintendo 3DS family over the years. Here's hoping for a gorgeous set of Zelda-gold Joy-Con or a space-themed console for Metroid Prime 4.

Would you like to see some new Switch designs based on your favourite Nintendo franchises? Describe your ideal Switch and Joy-Con setup in the comments - you never know, Nintendo might be listening...
