I think Nintendo will be fine as long as they don't thread the $500 price point. My prediction would be that the Switch successor will be around $400.

As someone who's not much into Mario games, Mario Oddysey was such a joy to play with. So much so that I tried some other 3D Mario games such as Mario Sunshine and Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury and also had fun with them.

Haven't played the new Astro Bot game yet but I am playing the free Astro's Playroom and it's such a fun platformer.

We need more platformers that aren't just from Nintendo and Astro Bot is a good step from Sony to the right direction (at least I hope they continue to explore more 3D platformers)

It better be. The Switch already has a vast library of games that would be waste if we cannot play them on the next system. Not to mention, some could really use some performance boost (looking at those Pokemon games on the Switch)

tbh, I expect this direct (the partner direct to be exact) to be mostly about ports and HD remasters. I'm just happy that the Switch is still getting new decent games considering its age.

And as usual, as a JRPG fan, I'm happy with what were announced (Suikoden 1&2 release date, DQ3 HD release date, new Rune Factory game, Capcom collection vol. 2 that includes Power Stone (not exactly JRPG, I know but I'm still happy for this announcement), new Atelier game and of course, Tales of Graces F)

I'm hoping the framerate on this wouldnt be as bad as RF5 (that's the reason I haven't finished the game yet). Otherwise, I'm liking the visuals and the feudal Japan theme. I'm definitely looking forward to playing this

This and Xillia were the ones I was hoping to be announced in today's Direct and glad this actually happened!

Now's really a good time to get back to this game since I haven't finished it on PS3.

What a time to be a JRPG fan, not only are we getting HD Remaster announcements but also a new Atelier game as well. I'm not really a big Atelier fan myself but it's nice to see a new entry (this reminds me that I need to finish Atelier Ryza soon)

Really looking forward to the Power Stone games as well as Project Justice. Seriously, did not expect them to announce another fighting game collection soon and it's just after the previous Nintendo Direct.

Finally a release date! I just hope the framerate won't drop consistently like it did in Eiyuden on the Switch (ended up selling it and got the game on PS5 instead).

Otherwise, I'm looking forward to this

Keeping my expectations low but considering how many JRPGs are often announced during Nintendo direct, I know I'll be satisfied

My only hope at this point is probably a Visions of Mana and a Tales port (Xillia and Graces F would be nice)

Had this game downloaded recently out of curiousity. It does have the RF character designs and the gameplay seems similar as well. I haven't gotten far into the game yet so let's see how long before i stop playing. The one thing that I immediately noticed is the static NPC (reminds me of DQIX) which already makes the world seem dull, imo.

Honestly, I'm hopeful and i'm hoping that this would open up for further improvements for future Pokemon games

I support artists and I'm glad the AI "art" submissions were disquallified. AI "art" just don't have a soul in them compared to drawing made by real artists. Do not encourage these kinds of "art" for these contests

Giving it a 9. It was an excellent Direct and as usual, lots of surprises, especially the Capcom collections. Other than that, this Direct has been great when it comes to showing variety of games that can appeal to pretty much anyone. If this is the Switch's last Direct (which I doubt it will) then Nintendo has delivered

This was one of the highlights of today's direct for me! I'm so happy the Marvel Vs 2D games were my childhood and MVC2 is still one of my all time favorite fighting games.

I bought Eiyuden Chronicles on the Switch, ignoring some of the reviews and thought it wouldn't be as bad as everyone says it was. Those reviews weren't lying and for once, I wish I got the game for PS5. Game is great but it runs like ass on the Switch and it crashed on me twice so far and had the game froze on me twice while upgrading my castle.

Great sales for both Stellar Blade and Eiyuden Chronicle. I'm hoping for some fixes on the Switch version soon and I'm considering double-dipping by getting the PS5 version

This is why acquisition like this should not be celebrated but nope, people had to defend this decision and even celebrated it and now, we are seeing such unfortunate closures

I just love how casual this announcement from Nintendo is. Probably going to take a while for them to actually announce the new hardware since they mentioned it will be within the fiscal year but eh, I can wait. I expect the new hardware to launch probably mid 2025 or later on.

Just got the game today and I can finally understand the complaints (at least with the Switch version). They really need to fix the framerate issue and the menu screen load time

It's a great game but the performace of the Switch version isn't all that good

RIP to the last free online plays. I've had fun til it lasted. The 3DS is probably my favorite Nintendo handheld so far. The Switch is awesome and all but the 3DS just feels very unique with its library of games

1. FFIX
2. OG FFVII
3. FFVI
4. FFX
5. FFXII

I thought that the idea for a DLC was due to the backlash from people getting tired of 3rd version, namely USUM

Whatever the case, I think having a DLC the better option nowadays. Regardless of their quality, I think GF was wise enough not to make an "enhanced" 3rd version for SWSH and SV and just released a DLC with extra stories

Sad. I wish Nintendo would extend at least the 3DS' online services. The 3DS introduced me to some amazing games and what reignited my love for Pokemon (thanks to X&Y). Arguably, my favorite Nintendo handheld to this day

The amount of people I've encountered online through X&Y and ORAS' even to this day is still impressive despite the newer gens. Really sad to think that all that will go away soon

I don't expect this to drop on Switch anymore. Nintendo has been the go to consoles for MH games since the 3DS so if this will be dropping for the Switch, it should have been announced alongside PS5 and XSX.

If anything, I expect a late announcement for the Switch successor once Nintendo unveils it (whenever that will be)

Overall, this is an ok show. MH Wilds, new Mana game, that 3D Arknights game and FFXVI DLC were the highlight for me

ngl, I was expecting the game to be released on Switch but it got replaced by Xbox instead. Who knows, maybe SE is just saving VOM for the next Nintendo console

Sony is more than just the PS brand and this really isn't that surprising (though personally, I would rather want a CG movie than live-action). This isn't also the first time that Sony has become involved with Nintendo IP, i.e., Sony Music Records is usually involved with Pokémon soundtrack

Hope the Switch successor will be backwards compatible. It would be such a waste to have all these successful Switch titles to be left behind.

I really enjoyed the online feature of Pokémon X&Y and SM more than the Switch games and the fact that you still see many playing online today. Such a big disappointment that this will come to an end soon.

There's no way they will drop the Switch immediately, even if the next gen Nintendo system drops next year considering the amount of Switch user base. 3DS still got support from Nintendo despite the Switch's release back in 2017 and even Nintendo was aware of how many 3DS owners were out there. Not that many people will be ready to move on to the next system and Nintendo knows this. Instead, they'll let people slowly transition from Switch to their next gen console

Played it on the 3DS but never finished it. Still a great game to be ported on modern consoles. I might give it another shot

Been enjoying AC6 since the release day. It's been a while since we had an AC game and it's been long overdue but I'm glad Fromsoftware delivered. I really am glad that many people are discovering and enjoying AC6 which can lead to more AC games in the future.

Since this is a Nintendo side, I'd love to see some AC games ported on the Switch or on the next gen Nintendo hardware. Would love to play Armored Core 4 Answer while on the go.
