Actually looks good but also bummer we had to wait until 2027 but I guess that's a good sign that Game Freak is being given more time to polish the game. This trailer is already promising and I'm looking forward for more info
I'll gladly take this! I was worried these will be NSO only and glad they aren't. This is still the best way to play Gen 1. I just wish they'd release RSE as well.
About time we get the classic Pokémon games on Switch/Switch 2.
Personally, I'd prefer FRLG but the classic RGBY would be just fine.
But what I'm really hoping for is not only for the GBA/GBC Pokémon games to be ported. I'm hoping we get other games from Gen 1 up to Gen 7 for the Switch/Switch 2.
But if we are starting with Gen 1, I really hope it's the GBA remakes
This was a decent Direct. Nothing mindblowing, FF7 Rebirth is to be expected though I guess the early release date was a nice surprise on its own. Orbital definitely caught my attention. I want to give it a try.
This has to run at 60fps on Switch 2. There's just no excuse, the base PS4 can run this game at 60fps just fine, same with Graces F. They really need to work on making these remasters run better.
Berseria felt like it just came out 5 years ago, but then you realize this actually came out in 2016 and was a PS3/PS4 cross-gen game. Time sure flies fast.
I think we can all agree that 2025 has been packed with amazing games (can't complain) and tbh, I don't really care which one wins GOTY. All amazing contenders and they all deserve it.
I don't care if large companies think AI is the future, I will never support the usage of generative AI in any video game, anime, digital arts or any other form of media on the internet. Generative AI destroys human creativities.
I'm still hoping there are other ways we can get these Megas in the future but honestly, the ZA Battle Club isn't so bad at all.
I'm not into competitive battles and avoid them as much as possible but getting to Rank K in this game is actually easier than I expected. I got the Greninjite in my 1st playthrough which did took me a bit longer but on my 2nd-3rd replay (at the time I knew which mons/megas to use), getting it took me less than an hour.
Still hoping for some other ways to get the stone, especially for those who'll be playing the game much later and/or for those who will be replaying the game again (like me)
Aside from Legends Arceus, this game already gave me more shinies than I ever did in past mainline Pokemon games (without even trying) so that to me, already made my purchase of Z-A worth it
As far as I'm concerned, I've had so much fun playing Legends Z-A. I had some few concerns but not enough to deteriorate my experience and the game was really fun to play with from start to end and that's really all that matters to me
Hot take but exclusivity still matters. It's what gives your console its own identity. Nintendo consoles will always be relevant because of titles like Mario, Zelda, Pokémon, etc.
Good on Microsoft for wanting to embrace multi-platform strategy (I'm actually excited to play Halo for the 1st time) but calling exclusivity as antiquated is why they will never outsell Nintendo nor Playstation in terms of console. Nintendo will always keep selling 1st party titles that will also move their console sales
Personally, I love Fatal Frame 3. Fatal Frame 1 was also really good and Fatal Frame 2 is the fan favorite for a reason.
I think the first 3 Fatal Frame games are just really good in general and I wish Fatal Frame 1 and 3 gets a remake as well.
I played Maiden of the black water and for some reason, it's not gripping me like the first 3. I just bought Mask of the Lunar Eclipse recently and it will be a perfect Halloween game for me
I have some concerns in the game (such as locking certain Megas behind online matches and DLC).
Initially, my expectations for Z-A went from excited to concern to disappointment prior to release. However, when I played the game, I was really having so much fun with it. I thought that the exploration being restricted within the city will get dull easily but tbh, I'm having fun exploring. The wild zones definitely could be better but it's not so bad. Voice acting will make the game better but not a deal-breaker for me. I also like how fast-paced the battles. I'm also liking the characters in this game, especially Emma.
My only gripes so far (aside from the locking of certain Megas behind DLC and online battles) are the unskippable dialogues (which can be a frustrating thing when I replay this game again), and lack of rides. It's fun to explore the city but I wish we could at least get a bike for faster travel. Lastly, and this might be a spoiler but an immediate leap of rank in-game, I mean, I guess it's to avoid burnt out but still, the whole point is that we're suppose to work our way up instead of giving to us freely. Lastly, lack of hairstyles, like, come on, I know there will be more once the DLC comes out but the selection of hairstyle in this game is so disappointing.
Overall, this is a fun Pokémon game, definitely a different experience from Legends Arceus but it has its own merits. This is probably my favorite Switch 2 game so far.
I'm fine with them finally doing some voice-over for future Pokémon games, I'm fine without them. It's not the end of the world for me if no voice overs.
Arceus is pretty much about exploration and catching. Battles doesn't happen that often. Really seems like Z-A is the opposite. Modern city, mostly about battles and you are restricted to one city only contrast to Arceus' past setting, mostly exploration and open environment.
Anyway, 7 seems to be a good score. I'm still excited
I'm not usually one to rant about Pokemon games but this day 1 DLC and the fact that the Kalos starters Mega are only available through online battles as rewards, is infuriating to me.
I'm so hyped for Legends Z-A, it's based on X&Y which is some of my favorite gen but this is just disappointing.
One thing that I love about Legends Arceus is that because the game is a single player game only, I don't have to worry about online tradings, online battles and whatnot. And the fact that I can catch all Pokemon within the game to completion, probably one of the best fulfillment I've had in a Pokemon game.
But in this case, you have Megas that are locked behind DLC and online matches. This just makes things very cumbersome for someone who would rather play the game solo.
I'm so hyped for this game but damn, this announcements just makes me angry.....
My first impression is that another Minecraft inspired game but as the game progress, it's looking more like Animal Crossing. Not sure if I'm digging this game yet but I'll keep an eye out on this one
I'm really liking this format, it allows for certain Pokemon to shine instead of just dumping them all under single trailer. Plus, it's entertaining to watch.
Probably the game that will make me finally use the mouse functionality of the Switch 2.
@AussieMcBucket XV was such a hot mess production wise that it had so many ideas and story elements that were cut in the final game. While the game overall turned out to be decent, there's a lot of missing story content and were broken into several DLCs and other media. But even with the DLCs, they decided to simply cancel the rest of them. XV is far from a bad game but it was the most wasted potential Final Fantasy
We need a Switch 2 version. I'm kinda tired of getting Switch ports that only runs at 30fps. Even Graces F need a Switch 2 version. Xillia's battle is great running at 60fps
It's the "Tee-dus" vs "Tie-dus" debate all over again.
Even the Japanese name have a different way of pronouning its name, "Rekkūza". This just feels like how it sounds like in US but not for everybody else.
Honestly, doesn't matter how it's pronounced officially in English. Just follow whatever sounds better for you.
It was an ok presentation. Definitely lacking in terms of surprise announcement. Still, there are some good games announced. FFT Remaster though after the SoP, this isn't all that exciting and since we already knew it will be a multi-plat game. P3R announcement though it's only a matter of time instead of IF it's comig to Switch.
I do like the MH Stories 3 announcement, the new 2D-HD game from Square and a new OT game.
"Video games are meant to be one thing; fun for everyone"
I still remember that quote and the reason why I still stuck with Nintendo for years. Nintendo may have some questionable decisions lately but the design philosphy of making fun games is why I still adore their games
Thank you, Mr. Iwata. Gone but definitely not forgotten.
FFIX is my all time favorite and at this point, a remake is all but confirmed. I still have some few concerns but I hope Square doesn't mess up said remake. Personally, I want it to be turn-based but I don't mind if they implement a combat mechanic that is similar to FFVII Remake. Just don't make it full action.
Also, really love these illustrations, especially the one with the party looking at the Iifa tree. Would make for a dope cover art once the remake is announced
This is why cloud saves should have been available for Pokemon games on Switch. I don't understand why of all the games, Pokemon games are the ones that don't support them.
If this story is true, the guy who lost his 20 year old Pokemon is not at fault. As he mentioned, he did the system transfer without any issues. That's not on him as he only follows transfer procedure that Nintendo implemented.
For me, I lost some legendaries and some of my Cap Pikachu from USUM that I transfered to SwSh after having my Switch Oled sent back for replacement (long story but I basically had no choice but to get it replaced ASAP and unfortunately, that also means losing my Pokemon Sword file)
As for gen 10, I do want them to take as much time as needed to polish the games. They don't necessarily need to make it look like Beast of Reincarnation but Gen 10 deserves this kind of treatment in terms of development
As for a Nintendo Direct, yeah I see one happening this month (at least I hope we get one)

Can't really deny how iconic majority of the gen 1 Pokémon so here are some of my favorites:
Charizard
Blastoise
Bulbasaur
Pikachu
Arcanine
Ninetales
Scyther
Lapras
Beedrill
Butterfree
Mewtwo
Re: Poll: What's Your Favourite Gen 2 Pokémon?
Scizor all the way. I still remember seeing it for the first time and immediately liking it. Still one of the coolest bug-type Pokémon

Really looking forward the demo! It's still amazing how this and RE Requiem can run at 60fps on Switch 2. Capcom is killing it!
