I mean if the movie's sequel gets off the ground anytime soon, they probably will do another one....or just "Remaster" the first game.

I do wonder if they'll be able to cope with the amount of demand this thing will have.

There's been plenty of ways to play NES/SNES/Mega Drive/handheld games both carts and digitally for decades. The N64, not so much, and its got a big enough nostalgia following.

As much as I'd love one, I'm certain its going to sell out immediately and all restocks following the launch. It's gonna be tricky.

@Tott Kinda. No new downloads can be made so if you did not download Bank and Transporter before the eShop shut, you're out of luck.

What I'd like to know is a list of games effected that have online play as part of their competition (Play 10 Ranked Games to unlock kind of deal) or helps the 100% competition go faster with EXP, items, etc.

@Paddle1 Except people have been already doing that. So many online games of Mario Kart 8 Wii U and Splatoon 1 have cheaters using hacked Wii U.

Plus the fact servers for MK8 Wii U and Splatoon 1 were taken offline for awhile by hackers earlier this year only made the decision much easier for them.

They really can't just wait a year and a bit for a Switch 2 version?

I mean the first game should kill some time....

Its like these horror multiplayer titles don't last.

Friday the 13th got hit with the franchise wide lawsuit.

Now this just faded and died.

Only Dead by Daylight has managed to be an ongoing success.

Seems a bit odd they didn't wait just a bit longer to have all the DLC on a cart.

But watch it become a real collector's item in the future when the servers and shop are no more....

Possible a DLC Pass like Tetris 99 I bet. Would be awesome if they brought out a physical edition with a 12 month Switch Online subscription as well.

@blindsquarel Aye, but if Switch 2 offers BC and next gen upgrades for older titles, it might not matter.

Or just sell us the same thing again with more comparability to the other current gen systems, I dunno....

I mean the next Zelda, bar ports, remakes and smaller games, will likely come around the middle or later of the Switch 2's life. Might as well crack on with it now.

@Shepdawg1 Hell, using the Switch sideways as a full screen pinball table would be a perfect fit.

Pinball RS is a given. I would like to see the OG added as well since that skipped the 3DS VC. I know its dated by now but if Kirby Pinball can be on the service, so can both Pokemon Pinballs.

Can't wait to collect those coffee coasters for the complete Wii U set.

Yeah, but I got to imagine the conversation of shutting off the servers for good for everything Wii U/3DS has been discussed now, especially with a Switch 2 but a year away quite possibly.

Might be time to REALLY consider what online unlocks and final matches you're dying to do for last gen.

@TenEighty For the most part, I think we'll see a lot of PS4/XBONE games that missed out on the Switch because they could not run or be downsized well enough arrive on Switch 2.

If they go the upgrade route, might even see some of those Switch ports get a far better Switch 2 version.

That'll be a big draw if say, you had something as sizeable as GTV V, Red Dead 2, or even the latest Call of Duty in portable mode right next to your usual Nintendo properties. Not to mention how beefy the next Zelda or Xenoblade could get with that extra juice under the hood.

Yeah, wouldn't be surprised if this was a last chance restock before the line ends with Sora. After Smash, there's barely much new games that get new amiibo these days aside from the 2 upcoming Zelda and Xenoblade 3 ones.

A port of GX would fund a new game because I'm certain everyone would buy 10 copies each to ensure a new game.

Nice to see AEW do well. It was never going to slay Tears or FF16 but 3rd's still pretty good.

Course they won't, they know they can sell you these games again for £25-40 and you'll buy them. See Prime 1, Pikmin 1+2.

Besides, a Gamecube/Wii app would be too big for Switch. Maybe Switch 2, but I think they'll stick to selling them.

Best we canhope for is Virtual Boy, more SEGA systems or maybe Turbografx.

You imagine if Nintendo came out and said "This is Switch 2, the most powerful game system on the market." and suddenly it was on again.

Seem to always run into this game for cheap.

Found the original for £20 when the GameCube was still modern. A bargain given the prices it goes for today.

When I got round to going back and 100%ing the game on my Wii no less...I found the Wii version in a used electronics store for about £12. Again, goes for a pretty penny nowadays.

That said, will jump at the chance for the Switch physical bundle.

I'm sure Kojima's never coming back but there had to be enough unfinished assists and a script to make it possible.

@jedisquidward People forget it came to PS3 and 360 too. Switch can manage it.

@luke88 You seen how much the Gamecube and Wii versions go for now? £25 is a steal for Pikmin 2.

Just to note, both other releases of Pikmin 2 fetch a fair penny on the after market, so def worth considering picking up.

Well you know, maybe don't blow money on things like a Three Stooges NES Limited Run rerelease no one asked for.

4's a given. But the rest? The PSP games? The NES/MSX games? Both MGS V Parts again? Twin Snakes?

2 console generations later and a rocky development, I'm sure Prime 4 will be a good final big Switch release before the successor.

I think we can still see some Remasters between now and the fabled Switch 2. While the Wii U well as run dry (Too soon for a Xenoblade X port and Starfox Zero is probably not worth porting due to its reputation), there's still plenty of Gamecube and maybe Wii stuff that can fill in the gaps till Prime 4.

Is it really worth the bragging rights when Nintendo will stop at nothing to find whoever leaked it and shake every coin out their pocket?

Retro, there's only so much Nintendo can do but a new release that's not even out yet? Come on man, that's asking for trouble...

@arabiansanchez It'll ultimately come down to the countries its yet to or just recently came out in. I can see it getting a big boost in Japan.

Give it time, Hollywood's going to be shopping the Nintendo IPs for movies soon enough.

Just a matter of Nintendo picking the right partners for each one.

I'd be down for it. The one major drawback to some of the games is no save feature with some like the SNES game being so looooong to do in one sitting, so a save state feature would allow players to beat these games once and for all.

As for the SEGA games, probably a licencing thing or saved for a further announcement down the road. Don't forget these games were not all made by the same developers so it might not be doable. Then again, we did get the Capcom Aladdin via DLC and a rerelease of the Disney Collection, so that's another route they could go.

Come on Mario, let's dethrone Frozen 2 and Lion King remake!

Pulseman is a great addition I've been waiting for, especially how the Wii Virtual Console version in Europe was butchered into a forced 50Hz mode.

Street Fighter I assume Capcom have no intentions of rereleasing the Mega Drive versions on any other collection just like Wily Wars.

Sadly they won't use this opportunity to update his ride back to its glory days....
