Oh it'll come, I doubt Nintendo backed down without some kind of dual release for both systems. I want to bet Microsoft paid MGM a big sum of cash to get it released and agreed with Nintendo as long as it came to Switch too.

1 disc less than the individual release, so probably a bit more compressed.

And I guess Mega Drive is left out in the cold, despite having many more games to drip feed (I mean come on, Pulseman by Game Freak maybe?)

You have the Mega Drive, the most ported over library of games, and a beefy one at that. There should be no excuse not to do a few a month.

I'm just glad at least it wasnt a 6 month wait like NES/SNES games tend to do these days, but then it could just be Christmas one off....

@EvrgrnCmln Its a name that has passed along over the years that even some casuals that may have never played a game have heard of it. Even without that, Cap Falcon is a more than recognizable character thanks to Smash Bros that all you need is to start the trailer with him and everyone would get it. Its him and the series he came from.

Think a lot of people have prepared for these not being a packed with new features remake much like I am. As much as I wished they did more, I'm still looking forward to playing through my fav gen once more.

@UglyCasanova Hence why I said new games, we could see gamers going for games that have been out earlier in the year either with no issues or have been patched enough to work if this keeps happening.

If the games industry isnt careful, they're going to find that no one is going to bother with new holiday releases if they're just going to be rushed out the door for the season and patch later.

Rockstar made tons off of GTA V alone, they could of delayed this a few months.

Its nice to finally play with an N64 controller without an import set up. Younger me would have been blown away with that set up. XD

Sadly, this would be all the ammo Nintendo would need to scrap any future N64 inclusion should they restart their classic line up for the Switch successor.

Yup, Kingdom Hearts is going to be a disaster.

Launched on a service no one wants it on and even the most diehard fans that sign up won't have a pleasant experience.

Its does work on Mario 64 on the All Stars Collection.....except you can't punch.

Every time they add new games, its going to be met with thumbs down on youtube and endless "When are you going to fix the service?!?" comments. This won't just go away.

I think they do need to acknowledge this, promise to try and fix it as best they can, and maybe give the early adapters something as way of an apology.

Before you go off and daydream the likes of Goldeneye and so on, I would have to remind everyone that the NES and SNES app were pleaged with "SP" versions of games.

Chances are, some of those entries could be those, like a maxed out OOT entry or 70 Stars Mario 64, that sort of thing.

You would think with what they were charging they would emulate the Controller Pak functionality so it opens up more possible games that require it like Rayman 2....

....judging by Mario Kart, they did not.

Still getting the maintenance screen, so probably not in the UK.

Tell me they at least sorted out the Memory Pak functionality right? That didnt on either Virtual Console and while not saving your ghosts in Mario Kart is no big deal, games that needed the pak to save ride on whether this is possible or not (Rayman 2 comes to mind.)

@Hydra_Spectre I mean hey, we have access to the Japanese app, so there's always the chance the Rumble Versions of that and Wave Race show up.

Sure no high visuals unless they do update the Collection, but hey.

They're not gonna till Switch 2 or whatever is the successor to the Switch me thinks. The OLED was the chance to bring out a Pro mode but now by the time that model; has been out long enough for another model, it would be more ideal just to launch the next system.

Here's hoping Nintendo will embrace Backwards Compatibility like Sony and Microsoft have done. I think everyone's done with starting anew for a system library.

@Noid Yeah, but then you get into a TMNT, Xmen and Simpsons Arcade situation where not long after release, they get delisted, which I'm sure Hamster want these games up for as long as possible. Even for straight ports like these, it's not worth Konami's time and money to pay and negotiate the license between them, Hamster, whoever owns those the IP and right to make games from that IP and divide up the profits among them.

And that's just one example.

That would be neat.

Granted, no movie, TV Show or Comicbook tie ins, there are a ton of compilations out there, and stuff like Nintendo Switch Online covers a lot of stuff, but they could bring over a ton on Playstation Systems (And XBox if they ever decide to bring Arcade Archives there.). I see this as good for say, the stuff that never appears on compilations.

Brought both Passes as soon as Pyra and Mythra were revealed. XD
