Tell me they at least sorted out the Memory Pak functionality right? That didnt on either Virtual Console and while not saving your ghosts in Mario Kart is no big deal, games that needed the pak to save ride on whether this is possible or not (Rayman 2 comes to mind.)

@Hydra_Spectre I mean hey, we have access to the Japanese app, so there's always the chance the Rumble Versions of that and Wave Race show up.

Sure no high visuals unless they do update the Collection, but hey.

They're not gonna till Switch 2 or whatever is the successor to the Switch me thinks. The OLED was the chance to bring out a Pro mode but now by the time that model; has been out long enough for another model, it would be more ideal just to launch the next system.

Here's hoping Nintendo will embrace Backwards Compatibility like Sony and Microsoft have done. I think everyone's done with starting anew for a system library.

@Noid Yeah, but then you get into a TMNT, Xmen and Simpsons Arcade situation where not long after release, they get delisted, which I'm sure Hamster want these games up for as long as possible. Even for straight ports like these, it's not worth Konami's time and money to pay and negotiate the license between them, Hamster, whoever owns those the IP and right to make games from that IP and divide up the profits among them.

And that's just one example.

That would be neat.

Granted, no movie, TV Show or Comicbook tie ins, there are a ton of compilations out there, and stuff like Nintendo Switch Online covers a lot of stuff, but they could bring over a ton on Playstation Systems (And XBox if they ever decide to bring Arcade Archives there.). I see this as good for say, the stuff that never appears on compilations.

Here's hoping N64 games outside of the subscription will get an update to full utilize the controller like the Turoks, Star Wars Ep 1 Racer, Mario 64 on the Mario 3D Allstars Collection, and so on.

Hell, Yooka Laylee has an N64 mode, go for the full experience! XD

@sleepinglion yeah, but the SEGA likely includes licensing from SEGA to actually make the controllers themselves and use the SEGA branding.

Like the NES controllers in the UK store, I don't see them selling out quickly.

@Rayla It's an Easy mode, doesn't have to make sense. Like why would Bowser leave all those Easy Mode Blocks that make Mario invincible in Mario games for example.

Okay for that price, you better have monthly content. You can't just make us wait for more N64 and Mega Drive titles months in-between.

@sixrings Baby Metroid mode, an Easy mode where the Baby Metroid from Samus Returns holds the players hand by defeating enemies for them. XD

@TheIronChimp Kinda hoping, since it came out in 93, that maybe they could do Ridge Racer arcade.

I know it's a 3D game but it's a very early one as far as the 90s go.

@alexybubble Those might be a little obscure but who knows, the Wii certainly made more people aware of the TurboGrafx.

I think it will ultimately depend on how much more Nintendo has planned to add. If down the road they add the likes of the Turbografx/PC Engine, Master System, maybe even the Saturn, then it should become more and more worth it.

Be interesting to see if it's the same as the Wii/Wii U version that replaced sponsor logos with Wii and DS ads. Will they just have those or go the extra step and replace those with Nintendo Switch ads and ads for the Mario Movie? XD

Perhaps they can do a "Expansion Bonus" for the NES/SNES app and future Gameboy app so they add the games that either Nintendo want to make money off of (Earthbound, Mother 3, Pokemon, etc.) and games that other companies don't really want to give away for free but would if the Expansion fee paid for them (Final Fantasy, Megaman, etc.).

I don't see why this can't be an option within the app. N64 games are not GBs in size so you could just have an option in the settings to pick between 50hz and 60hz.

And of course it won't be every game regardless. Sin and Punishment and Dr Mario 64 never got the 50hz treatment.

Here's hoping Diddy Kong Racing gets added.

@Jeffro The Wii and Wii U N64 library capped at about 20-ish N64 games, the whole library is 400 games, including the 64DD.

There are not as many N64 games as you think without either developers no longer in business, purchased by rivals (So no Wipeout 64) or are based on a film and TV Show (No way we're getting Goldeneye) or require a translation job.

So they are going to drip feed these games. I'd be surprised if we make it anywhere near 40 N64 titles.

Well, they have a PS5 version as part of that legacy PS+ thingy, may as well slap it on a disc, include all its DLC and make a small profit.

@lighteningbolt79 if you enjoy, fair play to you, I gave up after Spyfall part 2 as I really didn't enjoy season 11 and the opener to 12 didn't look like it wasn't going to attempt to fix many of the problems me and others had.

Honest, I recently rewatched the whole Matt Smith run and a bit of Capaldi run and found it aged fairly well for an era I had not rewatched a lot since BBC 3 was no longer its own channel and had reruns of them. I know that era wasn't for everyone but I loved it and the quality most of the time seemed movie quality, hell some episodes were even shown in cinemas.

But I digress, at the very least I thought Jodie was fine in the role, it's just the writing and very little care to make characters like the companions interesting or make us care when something happens to them. Even reading about events like the Timeless Child seemed very anti-DW fanbase than embracing it as a whole. Still, we are getting a new showrunner after next year, so maybe I and others can find it enjoyable again. If not, there's always the blu ray boxsets of the older seasons to come and this game.

It's a start, GB/GBC first, then when well drys up, GBA.

Mario Land 1-2, Wario Land 1-3, Kirby and many spin offs, the Mega Man GB saga, Donkey Kong Land trilogy and DK 94, Links Awakening, Mario Golf and Tennis, some of the Pokémon spin offs (Let's face it, RBYGSC would probably be sold for money again), countlees puzzle games, there's plenty to release over a year till we get GBA.

It happens, I was surprised when I won a Kyogre Edition GBA SP for under £15 and it was in perfect condition.

Odd you wouldn't make it an OLED model but oh well, it'll sell regardless....

@JasmineDragon I played SRW T 2 years ago and while yes, Magic Knight Rayearth was the only anime I knew (Reason I brought it, my fav anime) it was a good sample of seeing what the other shows are like and made me interested to go watch a few of them. I wouldn't really worry about not knowing a lot of the shows as far as I can tell, the games retell their series stories within this shared universe.

And I guess it also made me understand the appeal of mecha anime from playing. The absolute spectacle of some of the attacks and finishing movies are a sight to see.

That said, just be aware what you're getting into. Battles can be very long, but you can save at any moment during a battle and come back later. Took me about 65+ hours to beat the campaign of T and it was my first SRW.

If say these games are worth a play at least once for any gamer in the gene. Can't say I'd be obsessing over getting every release but it was an interesting choice experience.

Where's the demand for this? Most people online have not been too eger to "upgrade" for what is an extra OLED screen and extra memory.

Honestly, just port GX to the Switch.

We get it, you have no new ideas you're comfortable doing with the IP, we get that. At least just throw GX up as say a £15 eShop release and that will at least satisfy gamers' needs till you do something with F Zero.

The SNES, N64 and even the GBA games we did get have all seen rereleases in the past. Might as well do the same for GX.
