NGL, I grabbed the Pikmin one the moment I saw it as it goes for silly money.
Sadly it looks like to me the Squishy Metroid one is never coming back in stock. I get its down to the squishy plastic, but would have been nice to grab one...
I walk into my local and every time, the same toys are still there, mostly overpriced or not marked down enough (You tell me if £56.99 is a great deal for the Chun Li Power Rangers action figure.).
It's Super Mario Bros' 40th Anniversary next year.
I would think maaaaybe they're saving SML1 for that since there are not many big hitters of Mario left (Besides adding Gamecube/Wii/DS etc. to the Switch 2'S Subscription service.). Add DK94 and SMBDX with SML1 and you have a hefty trio for next year or whenever they start the anniversary stuff.
And you wonder what's taking so long to add the classic Pokemon games to Switch Online (Besides thinking of a way to make money off them and adding Home support).
Return to Arkham set (Asylum + City) would have been plenty.
If you were REALLY insistent on having Knight, this is probably a case where a streaming version might have been the better choice. Yes, no one likes those, but the machine on the other side could at least run the game...
Its an interesting choice for sure and one Konami can milk for multiple collections.
Translation will be the issue. They are just GBC/GBA games so far but that still means translating every monster/card name and character in accordance to the English dub of the anime and game.
@jump Got a giant score of Xbox games for 99p each from my local one a couple of months ago.
You'd think they were preowned but no, all the day one edition/DLC codes worked for all of them, and there were a lot of em so it couldn't have been pure luck.
I think that'll start to happen more often as the excuses like profits going down from the preowned exit pile up and they decide to either close stores and put them all inside Sports Direct stores, or become even more a toy shop than they already are.
That said while it is sad to see new games no longer sold widely on the high street, I would most certain keep an eye out in-case they just attempt to get rid of stock at crazy low mark downs.
@WiiWareWave Multi region DVD Players are extremely common. Heck, you can look up your player model and chances are there are codes you perform on your remote to make DVD player region free.
Also Germany have quite a few Pokemon blu rays the US doesn't that include the English dub and work on a UK blu ray player.
Secondary console, extra storage space, plus I like to see the games that push the hardware on the actual hardware. Not the same if Switch 2 can do it in its sleep.
Unfortunately, they'll bail out of the project with Sony, enlist Philips as a replacement, bail out with them but allow them to do a movie or 3, and that's how we get The Faces of Evil the Movie.
I do wonder if they'll be able to cope with the amount of demand this thing will have.
There's been plenty of ways to play NES/SNES/Mega Drive/handheld games both carts and digitally for decades. The N64, not so much, and its got a big enough nostalgia following.
As much as I'd love one, I'm certain its going to sell out immediately and all restocks following the launch. It's gonna be tricky.
What I'd like to know is a list of games effected that have online play as part of their competition (Play 10 Ranked Games to unlock kind of deal) or helps the 100% competition go faster with EXP, items, etc.
@Paddle1 Except people have been already doing that. So many online games of Mario Kart 8 Wii U and Splatoon 1 have cheaters using hacked Wii U.
Plus the fact servers for MK8 Wii U and Splatoon 1 were taken offline for awhile by hackers earlier this year only made the decision much easier for them.
I mean the next Zelda, bar ports, remakes and smaller games, will likely come around the middle or later of the Switch 2's life. Might as well crack on with it now.
@Shepdawg1 Hell, using the Switch sideways as a full screen pinball table would be a perfect fit.
Pinball RS is a given. I would like to see the OG added as well since that skipped the 3DS VC. I know its dated by now but if Kirby Pinball can be on the service, so can both Pokemon Pinballs.

Re: My Nintendo Store UK Restocks Over 100 amiibo Figures
@GravyThief I'm sure the Pikmin one was going for about £70-£100 at one point, although CeX currently listed it at £40.

It really is on its last legs.
Re: F-Zero 99 Is Getting A New Update (Version 1.3.0), Here's What's Included
I mean hey, least milking the GBA games will mean at least 2 more updates down the line (GP and the Japan Only Climax.)!
Re: Resident Evil Creator Shinji Mikami Gets Back To Work With A New Company
Now he can finally make the sequel he's destined to make, Goof Troop 2!
Re: Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 Game Line Up Hasn't Been Decided "Yet"
My guess would be what bonus games outside of 4, 5, and Peace Maker haven't been decided yet, like the MSX and NES games of the first.
Re: Soapbox: As Splatoon's Online Wraps Up Nearly 9 Years On, How Does It Compare To Splatoon 3?
Was thinking I could max out to Rank 50 before the servers would shut off recently.
6 hours+ to get from Rank 30 to 31.
That ain't happening.
Re: The Super Mario Bros. Movie Is Returning To Cinemas This Year
Whatever it takes to dethrone Frozen 2.

Return to Arkham set (Asylum + City) would have been plenty.

Re: Nihon Falcom's Original 'Ys' RPG Arrives On Switch This Week
....maybe hopefully the Turbografx can be the second Switch Online console from another company so we can have that version of Ys?

Re: Konami Announces Yu-Gi-Oh! Classic Collection For Switch, Launching This Year
@NCChris They're doing the whole "We'll announce future titles later!" drip feed thing.
Re: Nintendo's Switch Online Service Spotlights Donkey Kong With New Hub
@SwitchVogel Oh they would, they would since they have extra content.
GBC port of DKC too, King of Swing, NES Classics DK, quite a bit they can put out before DK64.

Hints of fighters for the next Smash maybe?

Re: Pokémon TV App Is Being Discontinued Later This Year
@FishyS Or you could buy the DVDs.
Re: Rumour: Microsoft Will Bring Critically Acclaimed Exclusive To "Competitor System" This Year
A Switch 2 launch game could be a good showcase of what the new hardware can do, depending on what it is.
Re: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom's Master Sword Twist Was Decided Very Early On
The part where Zelda opens her eyes to reveal the dragon eyes is still pretty haunting.
Re: Review: Batman: Arkham Trilogy (Switch) - Two Solid Ports, One Technical Disaster
Just offer separate purchases at this point.
More people would be willing to pay $10-15 for the good ports and MAYBE pick up Knight for a laugh when it goes down to $5 or less in a sale.
Re: Nintendo Is Launching An 18+ N64 Switch Online App In Japan
Huh........this how we're gonna get Conker and Resident Evil 2 64 perhaps?
Re: UK Charts: Super Mario RPG Can't Jump To The Top Five In Its Debut Week On Switch
I guess if most kids could only pick 1 Mario game in the time frame both came out, they picked Wonder.
Re: Talking Point: If 'Switch 2' Is Backwards Compatible, What Will You Do With Your Switch?
Keep it.
Secondary console, extra storage space, plus I like to see the games that push the hardware on the actual hardware. Not the same if Switch 2 can do it in its sleep.

Re: Super Mario RPG Switch Is Getting A Physical SNES Style Instruction Manual
These would be great MyNintendo rewards.
Re: Talking Point: Nintendo's Still Making Them, So What amiibo Do You Still Want To See?
Xenoblade 2 cast, but likely have to wait for a XC2 Definitive Edition I guess....
Re: Talking Point: Which Old Track Do You Wish Had Made It Into Mario Kart 8 Deluxe?
Wario Colosseum and Double Dash Rainbow Road for me.
Re: Talking Point: "This Is Only The Beginning" - What Should Konami Do With Metal Gear Next?
Probably reboot it after Volume 2.
No point adding stuff to Kojima's story without the guy. That's how you get Survive.
Re: SanDisk Launches Mighty 1.5TB Micro SD Card Compatible With Nintendo Switch
@Giancarlothomaz I mean what else could it support? They're not gonna make gamers carry round external HDD. XD
Re: SanDisk Launches Mighty 1.5TB Micro SD Card Compatible With Nintendo Switch
Just as I was planning to buy a 1TB next month.
Guess I gotta find extra pennies.
Re: Capcom Has A "Major" Unannounced Title Scheduled To Arrive Before March 2024
Likely Monster Hunter. Question is, will it be for Switch, saved as a Switch 2 game, or be on everything?
Re: SNES Racer Series Top Gear Is Being Revived As A Switch Collection In 2024
What, no 16 bit Jeremy Clarkson?
Good.
Re: The Pokémon Company Reckons There's Room For Future Detective Pikachu Spin-Offs
I mean if the movie's sequel gets off the ground anytime soon, they probably will do another one....or just "Remaster" the first game.
Re: Analogue's CEO Reckons Not Even Nintendo Could Beat Its New 'N64'

Re: 3DS And Wii U Online Play Ends In "Early April 2024"
@Tott Kinda. No new downloads can be made so if you did not download Bank and Transporter before the eShop shut, you're out of luck.

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2 Switch Rating Surfaces Online
They really can't just wait a year and a bit for a Switch 2 version?
I mean the first game should kill some time....
Re: Evil Dead: The Game Has Been Cancelled For Nintendo Switch
Its like these horror multiplayer titles don't last.
Friday the 13th got hit with the franchise wide lawsuit.
Now this just faded and died.
Only Dead by Daylight has managed to be an ongoing success.
Re: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's DLC Physical Release In Japan Includes A Game Card
Seems a bit odd they didn't wait just a bit longer to have all the DLC on a cart.
But watch it become a real collector's item in the future when the servers and shop are no more....
Re: F-Zero 99 Update Adding More Tracks, Datamine Uncovers New Modes
Possible a DLC Pass like Tetris 99 I bet. Would be awesome if they brought out a physical edition with a 12 month Switch Online subscription as well.
Re: Early Tech Analysis Suggests Paper Mario's Thousand-Year Door Remaster Runs At 30FPS
You'll have to buy a Switch 2 for that I bet.
Re: Gotham Knights Has Been Rated For Nintendo Switch
@blindsquarel Aye, but if Switch 2 offers BC and next gen upgrades for older titles, it might not matter.
Or just sell us the same thing again with more comparability to the other current gen systems, I dunno....
Re: New Interview With Zelda Boss Suggests There Are No Plans For TOTK DLC
I mean the next Zelda, bar ports, remakes and smaller games, will likely come around the middle or later of the Switch 2's life. Might as well crack on with it now.
Re: Pokémon Fans Beg TPC For Pokémon Pinball Revival As Sequel Turns 20
@Shepdawg1 Hell, using the Switch sideways as a full screen pinball table would be a perfect fit.
Pinball RS is a given. I would like to see the OG added as well since that skipped the 3DS VC. I know its dated by now but if Kirby Pinball can be on the service, so can both Pokemon Pinballs.
Re: Service For Dragon Quest X Online On Wii U And 3DS Will End Next Year
Can't wait to collect those coffee coasters for the complete Wii U set.
Re: After 5 Months, Mario Kart 8 And Splatoon Are Finally Going Back Online For Wii U
@Grumblevolcano Either that, or sell us a Splatoon 1 Switch version for giggles. XD
