I know we have the Switch Online app....just you know, nice to have a physical collection for these games on Switch. I don't think its much to ask as opposed to asking £25/£50 just for challenges and a multiplayer mode.

@LinktotheFuture Well, you could just mod the collectible cart into a functional cart then put the rom on it.

Shame they didnt add any DLC like bring back the powers from BOTW to combine with the TOTK ones for more mad experiments.

It's Super Mario Bros' 40th Anniversary next year.

I would think maaaaybe they're saving SML1 for that since there are not many big hitters of Mario left (Besides adding Gamecube/Wii/DS etc. to the Switch 2'S Subscription service.). Add DK94 and SMBDX with SML1 and you have a hefty trio for next year or whenever they start the anniversary stuff.

And you wonder what's taking so long to add the classic Pokemon games to Switch Online (Besides thinking of a way to make money off them and adding Home support).

Return to Arkham set (Asylum + City) would have been plenty.

If you were REALLY insistent on having Knight, this is probably a case where a streaming version might have been the better choice. Yes, no one likes those, but the machine on the other side could at least run the game...

Its an interesting choice for sure and one Konami can milk for multiple collections.

Translation will be the issue. They are just GBC/GBA games so far but that still means translating every monster/card name and character in accordance to the English dub of the anime and game.

GBC port of DKC too, King of Swing, NES Classics DK, quite a bit they can put out before DK64.

@jump Got a giant score of Xbox games for 99p each from my local one a couple of months ago.

You'd think they were preowned but no, all the day one edition/DLC codes worked for all of them, and there were a lot of em so it couldn't have been pure luck.

I think that'll start to happen more often as the excuses like profits going down from the preowned exit pile up and they decide to either close stores and put them all inside Sports Direct stores, or become even more a toy shop than they already are.

That said while it is sad to see new games no longer sold widely on the high street, I would most certain keep an eye out in-case they just attempt to get rid of stock at crazy low mark downs.

@WiiWareWave Multi region DVD Players are extremely common. Heck, you can look up your player model and chances are there are codes you perform on your remote to make DVD player region free.

Also Germany have quite a few Pokemon blu rays the US doesn't that include the English dub and work on a UK blu ray player.

A Switch 2 launch game could be a good showcase of what the new hardware can do, depending on what it is.

The part where Zelda opens her eyes to reveal the dragon eyes is still pretty haunting.

Just offer separate purchases at this point.

More people would be willing to pay $10-15 for the good ports and MAYBE pick up Knight for a laugh when it goes down to $5 or less in a sale.

Secondary console, extra storage space, plus I like to see the games that push the hardware on the actual hardware. Not the same if Switch 2 can do it in its sleep.

Unfortunately, they'll bail out of the project with Sony, enlist Philips as a replacement, bail out with them but allow them to do a movie or 3, and that's how we get The Faces of Evil the Movie.

There's been plenty of ways to play NES/SNES/Mega Drive/handheld games both carts and digitally for decades. The N64, not so much, and its got a big enough nostalgia following.

As much as I'd love one, I'm certain its going to sell out immediately and all restocks following the launch. It's gonna be tricky.

@Tott Kinda. No new downloads can be made so if you did not download Bank and Transporter before the eShop shut, you're out of luck.

What I'd like to know is a list of games effected that have online play as part of their competition (Play 10 Ranked Games to unlock kind of deal) or helps the 100% competition go faster with EXP, items, etc.

@Paddle1 Except people have been already doing that. So many online games of Mario Kart 8 Wii U and Splatoon 1 have cheaters using hacked Wii U.

Plus the fact servers for MK8 Wii U and Splatoon 1 were taken offline for awhile by hackers earlier this year only made the decision much easier for them.

They really can't just wait a year and a bit for a Switch 2 version?
