That sure brings me back. We didn't have Wi-Fi in our house and even when I got the adaptor, my dad was very "Oh that thing will give us viruses" over everything I did with the family computer, so I played my first ever online matches of anything in secret. Mario Kart 7 was my first real online gaming experience.

Sold the Adaptor when we had Wi-Fi and my dad was more eased over online safety. Kinda want an adaptor again for the collection someday.

Yeah, I was in no rush to buy this collection anyway so might just wait on the sale. I have many a collection, download, heck I brought the DS Collection recently as it was the only collection, bar the PC one, I didnt own. And thats mainly because I think this replacement music is going to increase the value of Sonic 3 and whatever compilations its own. Do the games run iffy on DS? Yes, but it has those 3 tracks (No multiplayer mode sadly) so it could easily become a £20+ game in due time. Doesnt help that SEGA removed digital versions of these games as well.

I would agree, these rearrangements are not as good as the OG Prototype music and would have been fine with the OG Prototype but as is....I'll just wait awhile.

Yes there are SD Cards, but you're limiting it to those who can afford an SD card of decent size. Kids who only have the onboard 32GB for whatever reason would either have to delete a ton of things or miss out.

@Grumblevolcano It was good, but it omitted the Lock On Sonic titles as apparently there was either no time or space to put them on the Collection.

Funny enough, I picked up the DS Collection today as its the only Sonic Collection, bar the PC one, that I don't own and I have a feeling these Collections with unaltered Sonic 3 are going to rise in value soon.

And....yeah, its sure is a dodgy emulator they're using, even when playing on a DSi XL. On top of the known issues, they strangely used Sonic 3's act 1 mini boss music for Sonic and Knuckles's act 1 mini bosses.

Regardless, if you take it as it is, a DS Collection that struggles to play the games, its at least far more playable than Sonic 1 GBA.

@Banjo- He's the greatest musician of all time, so I can see why they can be stingy with him over other dead artists. We'll only start to see new material and unreleased stuff through a drip feed once the revenue for Jackson music starts to decline.

As is, you're more likely to see a Master System Mini or Mega Drive 3 Mini than a Saturn or Dreamcast Mini.

But hey, I can dig Mega CD games getting some rereleases at least.

First discount of the GBC game if I'm not mistake so picked that up to complete the set on Switch.

The sooner Plumbers Don't Wear Ties gets a release, the sooner it'll be in a sale like Nightrap and Corpse Killer.

@Nontendo_4DS Its been how I've been doing it. Add funds via the Switch, funds are on my Wii U and 3DS eShop Acount as well.

Just keep in mind on XBox, you need to buy Sonic 2, and 3 along with and Knuckles for the whole Sonic and Knuckles package.

@Pandy-the-Panda I think we will soon. Since Origins is coming in 2 months I doubt we'll see Sonic 1 on the service for awhile which only leaves 1 Sonic game they can release now.

It's been confirmed Mirror Mode can be unlocked so I can assume the Digital Deluxe is for those not willing to do it the hard way.

I'll take the challenge if that's the case.
