Sega is an underrated, under-appreciated, great developer. I really like how a lot of their games are unapologetically Japanese and they have a certain style & creativity to them that’s their own, which I cherish and adore.
Nintendo should really lend them some more IPs for them to develop games for (with some oversight) like they did with F-Zero GX. Also Nintendo instead of (or in addition to) the Genesis should add the Sega DreamCast (please, its representation is long overdue on any modern platform), Saturn & Game Gear to their Nintendo Switch Online Apps.
Also, at this point Nintendo could really combine all the Mii DLC into a collection and also put the Smash Fighter Passes on sale for once.. and/or add the DLC to the Expansion Pak like they’ve done for other popular titles. It’s been forever now.
I’d like to see the next Smash try it’s hand at a true 3D Battle Arena with more obscure characters that have yet to be in the series (alongside the staples of course).. in the vein of say Power Stone- seeing as Capcom has neglected that for ages smh.
Think it could be a fresh and different take for the series.
List of Switch Port/News Wishfuls:
(admittedly it’s a reach, but I’m still hoping for more info and/or announcements on or of the following coming to Switch in a Partner Direct)
Sable
Rollerdrome
Bomb Rush CyberFunk
Mina the Hollower
Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth
Suikoden I&II HD Remaster
Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis
Echoes of Mana
Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent
WrestleQuest
Oddventure
Stray
Season: A letter to the future
Alterium Shift
Pentiment
SacriFire
Bo: Path of the Teal Lotus
.. Granted some of these may or may not be considered “Indies” per se, but they’re mostly partner digital offerings.
While I get, understand and agree with most of the popular criticisms and it would be nice to get the best of everything.. I still say keep 'em coming Squeenix (and others).
Would love to see all the classic RPG's get new life on Switch via ports, remasters, remakes and/or new entries:
Threads of Fate
Vagrant Story
Brave Fencer Musashi 1 & 2
Xenogears
Star Ocean 2 - 6
Final Fantasy XIII Lightning Collection
Valkyrie Profile
Mana Series (the rest of them)
Secret of Evermore
Chrono Trigger
Dragon Quest (the rest of them, properly- not those crappy mobile port versions)
Bahamut Lagoon
Super Mario RPG
Grandia 3 & Xtreme
Xenosaga
Skies of Arcadia
Legend of Legaia 1 & 2
Golden Sun
The Last Story
That's just to name a few. The Switch has become a legacy RPG haven and I love it. The more people that get a chance or have the option to experience some of these gems, the better!
I do enjoy Mario Strikers somewhat as the core gameplay is pretty tight, but I definitely agree with many sentiments that it is very light on content. Especially moreso if you want more offline, single player content- without online the game is pretty much tragic as there’s not much variety or things to do/unlock/achieve. I mean even the slim stadium upgrades are locked to the online battle league silver coin payments and use which is silly. And you have to rebuy what you unlocked again if you switch to something else... such an archaic, puzzling, frustrating pseudo-unlockables system. Hopefully they add more modes, characters, stages, cosmetics, match customization options etc. very soon and not drip-feed content long-term.
Online matches being the main portion of the game can get pretty grueling as there are a lot of hardcore advanced players on there as I feel many casual players have dropped the game by now or don't participate nearly as much. Also, we need Pom Pom or the Kremling Kritter back as a goalie option cuz Boom Boom be letting me down constantly smh. Either that or an option to play/switch to a manual goalie as well. That could also go well for a penalty kick mode too.
Still waiting and hopeful for a new Mario 3-On-3 Hoops, Mario Superstar Sluggers & Mario Sports Mix on Switch that are more expansive & comprehensive than the previous Mario Sports offerings this far.

As someone who finally played Grandia 1 (was ok, but definitely felt dated in it's mechanics, the story of a young crew's wonderment & determination was charmingly endearing) last year and then Grandia 2 (I truly loved this vibrant game, took me back to the wonderful Dreamcast era) to start this year via the HD Collection, I'd gladly welcome a Grandia HD Collection 2 with Grandia 3 & Xtreme on there with more QoL features than the first and a better price point.
Finally! (Puntentional)
Can’t wait to get to play FF I - III + V, the only mainline non-MMO entries I’ve missed. Should be great!
Although I can wait for a sale as I still have a backlog of JRPG’s to get through despite having played so many b2b already on Switch. My Switch has really become an RPG machine for me like in the SNES days and I love it!
Sidenote: It would be nice to get FFIV: The After Years included as well. And maybe Squeenix will bring an overhated & underrated FFXIII Collection to Switch as well soon?
Finally got around to picking up Mega Man 11 on sale earlier this year and had a really good time with it. I'd love to see them make 12 in a similar vein maybe with better visuals.
But even more than that (and I realize I’m probably in the minority here) I'd love a new Mega Man X Command Mission and/or Mega Man Legends game! They're long overdue for new entries. Though I’d also be cool with a new Mega Man X, Proto Man or even Zero game.
The first Hades was an amazing experience of which I gladly sunk hundreds of hours into. Definitely will pick this up. Never has a game’s voice acting and successive ongoing conversations ever captivated me so much.. hopefully Hades II continues and enhances such positives from the original.
That doesn’t seem like a “boatload” of improvements tbh. Also having a 20 year old version run better on older hardware is kinda inexcusable. Still a great game and RPG. I love cel-shaded games in general. They should’ve included the sequel to really make this appealing as a package. Think I’ll stick to 100%’ing Vesperia DE instead. It’s also a great Tales game. Almost done going through that damn Necropolis Tower.
Keep in mind there have already been a few pretty decent Nintendo animations before:
Star Fox Zero - The Battle Begins
Kid Icarus: Uprising Anime Shorts
F-Zero: GP Legend
Kirby: Right Back At Ya!
Super Mario World
The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3
Donkey Kong Country
Captain N: The Game Master
Pokémon
.. just to name a few. So I’d love some more, especially in terms of more long-form, serialized content. I think broadening the appeal and expanding the lore, world & characters of certain IP’s via other mediums can really add a lot to an IP while also generating interest in potential future games.

Love Puzzle Bobble/Bust-A-Move. I've definitely been one of those people requesting a new game on Switch. I'd even said it could work great as a " vs. 99" free-to-play type of game (similar to Tetris, Pacman & Mario 35 [RIP]) to mix things up.
So I'm happy the series is coming back! I just hope it's not too cutesy, gimmicky or light. I'm hoping for a comprehensive, extensive full experience- especially when it comes to varied online multiplayer, cosmetics and customization options and unlockables. That being said, the price also needs to be right because I don't know if Puzzle Bobble feels worth a full-priced game in today's times tbh. Depends on the final experience and content.
Sidenote: In 4 Player Co-Op (hopefully also online), where are the walls?? Some of the best gameplay for me came from tricky, risky ricochet shots.. but if the space is all open how does that happen? I hope those are still in there and the game has a good deal of diverse challenges. Also, It's a minor point, but I liked it better when they used the wheeled machine contraption to launch balls rather than tossing them themselves. It would be cool if they had a cosmetic skin that featured the styles of some of the older entries.
Super amped for this game. I’ve always loved Jet Grind/Set Radio and been yearning for Sega to make a new entry. In lieu of that this looks like an awesome homage from another developer. They can take their time with Bomb Rush CyberFunk to get it right. Need those jazzy, funky, groovy, punk graffiti-rollerblading-THPS vibrant stylish cel-shaded vibes!
Sidenote: there’s not enough cool rollerblading (compared to other similar hobbies) games imo. Hoping Rollerdrome comes to Switch as well.
This game was everything for me in my adolescence. Such fond nostalgic memories unwrapping this for Christmas and playing it all holiday break from school while also occasionally listening to Jay-Z's Blueprint 2 album that I also surprisingly got from an aunt that loathes rap music (a random, but amazing mix and personal anecdote I'm aware). I basically remember just zoning out in chosen solitude in my room all break delving into that world that kept me wanting more. It's an alluring warm winter memory for me.
I loved Super Metroid, but Metroid Prime is on a whole other lever for me. The ambience, exploration, music, loneliness, eeriness, lore, combat etc... I'd agree this game was the best Game Cube game wholeheartedly. I wish I could experience that first time playing it all over again.
As a big Final Fantasy fan, I've long wanted to play Crisis Core since I never had a PSP. Happy it's coming to Switch, but I'll likely get around to playing it on a more powerful console to get the maximum experience.
At this point, Squeenix really just needs to announce the FF Pixel Remasters for Switch asap.
Also secretly hoping for Square Enix Remasters/Remakes or New Entries of:
Been waiting quite a while for Rogue Legacy 2 to come to Switch. The first game was one of my first entries into the Roguelite genre and I was hooked. Looking forward to trying this out once I clear some more of my backlog!
I think what @Vexx234 was getting at was the presumption in the original comment of it being unaffordable for @Yanina just because they disagreed with the price. People can afford a lot of things they may not feel like paying for. Value is often very subjective. There’s nothing wrong with suggesting perhaps waiting for a sale, but let’s not assume people can’t “afford” something simply because of their opinion.
Not really into SRPGs or RTS games much (I’ve only really played Mario + Rabbids 1 and Fire Emblem Three Houses in terms of the genre I think). But I love JRPGs and Final Fantasy. That said I’ll probably just wait for an eventual FF Tactics Remaster to come to Switch to try it out given all the acclaim over the years. Glad fans got this too though given all the love for it. Enjoy!
Not really into farming or sim games much, but between these Doraemon & Shin-Chan games, I’m slightly inclined to try one of them out sometime due to the lovely art styles, aesthetics & charms that appeal to me. Maybe on a sale whim.
Other than obviously more platforms support (Game Boy, Game Cube, Dreamcast etc.), Nintendo also needs to have more frequent, quality and voluminous drops at reliable, scheduled dates known to consumers in advance (i.e. PlayStation Plus, Xbox). Also more unreleased/scarce/never released in the region games should grace the platforms as cool new experience incentives providing value adds to the service.
Also, the NSO Apps themselves really need to be expanded upon in many ways. Fan-Made Emulators that have been out for decades now have more options, features & functionality than the barebones official Nintendo rental offering smh.
Preferably Nintendo should combine all the NSO Consoles into one NSO Archives App (since they seemingly loathe the term Virtual Console now). Just give us all the platforms + catalogues we want on competent legal proprietary emulators i.e. with:
rewind & fast-forward
turbo/slowed speed adjustment
more save states and/or multiple suspend play
downloadable/uploadable/transferrable community shared saves
cheats list and support
mods support
an achievement system
DX coloured versions (for original Game Boy games)
optional fan translations/localizations for imported titles
scanned official original game manuals
background/historical information for each title
tips & trivia notes
custom button-mapping (overall platform wide and/or per title)
online netplay with crosschat, lobbies, invites system
etc... most of which is already included in some notable free emulators and/or paid services (such as their major competitors) out in the wild for some time now.
Listen (*Navi voice) Nintendo, I would literally gladly pay $100/year for a comprehensive & extensive Nintendo Virtual Console Subscription Service (basically like every other popular streaming/subscription service currently) if Nintie would just give us all the platforms + catalogues we want on competent legal proprietary emulators. Nintendo has such a beloved and cherished back catalogue and archive of gaming history... yet they either neglect it, withhold it or give it little TLC. C'mon pick it up and get it together with the NSO service quick, fast and in a hurry please Nintendo! There's so much potential for this service!
Arcade Licensed Beat 'Em Up (X-Men, Simpsons, Bucky O'Hare etc.)
.. I mean we probably won't get any of these especially in the vein desired knowing Con-ami these days, but not neglecting some great series/titles in your back-catalogue might help raise some company profits perhaps idk..
I rarely say this, as I often just Wishlist games then wait for a sale down the line while I work on my backlog... but this game is an instant buy for me.
But let's hear it for ourselves please. Nintendo should've been had an official Youtube Music channel and VGM albums on all the DSP's (Apple, Spotify etc.) for awhile now... like most other big publishers do. Nintendo late to and/or neglecting the party as usual smh.
It really is time for a new 3D Bomberman game. Bomberman 64 was awesome and special because many of the levels had some verticality to them not often seen in the series, especially in Battle Mode.
Bomberman 64/Hero/Generation/Jetters/Land... Konami please make a new expansive, comprehensive entry along those lines.
In the meantime the NSO N64 App would be a great place for some of those Bomberman titles, heck even Bomberman '94/Mega Bomberman would be great on the NSO Genesis App or Super Bomberman 1 - 5 on the NSO Super Nintendo App, especially since 3 - 5 were never officially released in North America. This is a great opportunity to add some value to all of those apps and the online subscriptions.
All of these NSO Apps are neglected by Nintie and leave so much to be desired because of the potential imo smh. Combine the platforms into one Nintendo Switch Archives App, improve the emulators have much of the features that have long been a staple of the free ones online for decades now. And most of all, we need more frequent, quality & voluminous drops. Fix up Nintendo.
Old Mario Party games are still fun, but I'm def not abusing my $100 Pro Controller just to get 1-up on a cheating ass, diabolical, eerily-conveniently always lucky Wario or DK sus CPU in a mini-game. Not worth it sorry. Times are different and hard lol. I'll take the L and let my controllers live to see another, hopefully brighter, day.
That being said it's cool these games are on the service and now with pseudo-online (wish it wasn't limited to just friends and at least had a true online invite & party system).

While I understand some of the criticisms, I don't get all the EA hate. I think they've been a fairly alright publisher/developer over the decades. Lots of classics and even some more recent decents like all the new Star Wars games (Battlefront 1 & 2, Jedi: Fallen Order, Squadrons). I think an Iron Man (or any other of Marvel's stable of cool heroes suited for a new AAA gaming experience i.e. X-Men? Silver Surfer? Black Panther? Dr. Strange? Captain America?) game made by Motive or DICE could be awesome... probably only so on other more powerful platforms unfortunately.
I do wish EA would get back to more wacky/niche/experimental arcade sports games though like they did with EA Big titles back in the day (NBA Street, Def Jam etc.). Also wish they'd support Nintendo platforms more and better.
Also also EA, bring back Fight Night and find a way to get the Mass Effect Legendary Edition collection on Switch please & thanks.
I don't know if it's just me, the drinks or the fatigue- but the phrasing of this article initially had me puzzled thinking they were releasing Sonic Adventure 2 DLC for free if you subscribe to Sega's Onlyfans or something.
I know.. Before I head out, I'd just like to add that while admittedly absurd, I'd gladly take new Knuckles & Rouge stages and jazzy/funky soundtracks... or better yet just make Sonic Adventure 3.
My first Tales game. I'll always cherish it and adore cel-shading aesthetics. I forgot how chibi the characters were, they seemed bigger playing as a kid I guess. Having just finished Tales of Vesperia DE though, it has probably overtaken Symphonia for me out of the few in the series I've played- but it's close! Hope more Tales remasters continue to come to Switch.

I loved Super Metroid, but Metroid Prime is on a whole other lever for me. The ambience, exploration, music, loneliness, eeriness, lore, combat etc... I'd agree this game was the best Game Cube game wholeheartedly. I wish I could experience that first time playing it all over again.

Re: Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion Switch Frame Rate & Resolution Detailed

The Squirtles looking kinda wavy. And I love my water-types. I have enough Puma’s already though tbh, especially Clyde’s… but also maybe not enough?

Re: Review: Rogue Legacy 2 - A Roguelike Legend Returns In Fine Form
Been waiting quite a while for Rogue Legacy 2 to come to Switch. The first game was one of my first entries into the Roguelite genre and I was hooked. Looking forward to trying this out once I clear some more of my backlog!

Re: Round Up: The Reviews Are In For Tactics Ogre: Reborn
@Bwight33 @liljmoore @Arawn93
Positive vibes and happy gaming to everyone!

Re: Warp Drive Brings F-Zero-Style Racing With Cel Shaded Visuals To Switch Next Month
Love the cel-shaded look & aesthetic in games, so this has some appeal. But “F-Zero-likes” just makes me want a new F-Zero tbh.

Re: Review: Tactics Ogre: Reborn - A Decent Remaster Of A 16-Bit Strategy Classic
Enjoy!

Re: Review: Doraemon Story Of Seasons: Friends Of The Great Kingdom - Familiar Farm Sim Fun
Not really into farming or sim games much, but between these Doraemon & Shin-Chan games, I’m slightly inclined to try one of them out sometime due to the lovely art styles, aesthetics & charms that appeal to me. Maybe on a sale whim.

Re: Nintendo Considering "Various Initiatives" And "Further Enhancements" For The Switch Online Service
Just give us all the platforms + catalogues we want on competent legal proprietary emulators i.e. with:
etc... most of which is already included in some notable free emulators and/or paid services (such as their major competitors) out in the wild for some time now.

Re: Konami's Earnings Report Reveals A Substantial Profit Drop In The First Half Of 2022
Konami, it's time for a new:
.. I mean we probably won't get any of these especially in the vein desired knowing Con-ami these days, but not neglecting some great series/titles in your back-catalogue might help raise some company profits perhaps idk..

Re: Square Enix Releases Second Official Trailer For Octopath Traveler II
I rarely say this, as I often just Wishlist games then wait for a sale down the line while I work on my backlog... but this game is an instant buy for me.
Please be awesome like the first Octo.

Re: Random: Yasunori Mitsuda Reveals Almost 200 Songs Were Scrapped From Mario Party's Soundtrack
Chill Jazz > Big Jazz
But let's hear it for ourselves please. Nintendo should've been had an official Youtube Music channel and VGM albums on all the DSP's (Apple, Spotify etc.) for awhile now... like most other big publishers do. Nintendo late to and/or neglecting the party as usual smh.
... Wun can only hope.
Re: Never-Before-Seen Bomberman Hero Design Docs Appear Online
Fix up Nintendo.
... Wun can only hope.
Re: Random: Nintendo Doesn't Want You To Get Mario Party Blisters This Time Around

Re: Mega Man 11 Becomes Best-Selling Entry In The Series' 35-Year History
Got Mega Man 11 on sale earlier this year and had a really good time with it. I'd love to see them make 12 in a similar vein.
But even more than that I'd love a new Mega Man X Command Mission and/or Mega Man Legends game! They're long overdue for new entries. Seeing those sales #'s really puts things into perspective and dampens expectations though unfortunately.

Re: EA Announces "Long-Term" Marvel Deal For Consoles And PC

Re: Sonic Frontiers Offering Free Sonic Adventure 2 DLC To Newsletter Subscribers

Re: Tales Of Symphonia Remastered Will Be Launching On Switch Next February
My first Tales game. I'll always cherish it and adore cel-shading aesthetics. I forgot how chibi the characters were, they seemed bigger playing as a kid I guess. Having just finished Tales of Vesperia DE though, it has probably overtaken Symphonia for me out of the few in the series I've played- but it's close! Hope more Tales remasters continue to come to Switch.
