Actually looks promising to me. I'm not a fan of the new Lara after the PS2 era, so going back to the series' roots (character look and gameplay) is a welcome step for me. My only issue is that her face doesn't look like Lara's.
Yawn. Capcom better have thought of some new mechanics to make yet another mega man entry feel fresh and exciting. But the biggest problem is why even bother letting us know about a game only coming out in 2027???
Short and linear, both positives for me. I don't have time for 100-hour games and walking aimlessly around a huge map looking for flower-like creatures hidden in impossible spots just so I can get a meaningless 100% check mark.
I was pretty excited for that controller, but it's so dull and uninspired. I'm not expecting the RE chainsaw controller for the Gamecube, but something with a bit more flair and interest would been nice. Also, game key cards = thumbs down.
Europe for me. It has the Japanese cover art (looks great), but also shows what the actual sprites look like in the game which is very anime-like. Back in the day, we'd just guess what the actual game would look like from the cover art, so including the sprite close-ups shows they wanted to show how great the actual game looked too.
One of Double Dragon's major attractions has always been the fantastic art style and character design since the very beginning. This is sadly very disappointing.
I actually had more fun with team sonic racing than MK8. The team assist mechanic allowed for interesting in-race strategy and the sense of speed from the ultimate boost was fun as hell. And some excellent music too.
Not a big open world fan, but I'll consider getting this one. Regardless, I hope the motorbike becomes part of Samus' suit like the Cyclone does in Robotech. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xq7CYrH-_Kc
Always wanted to try this game when it was originally released for the PS1. Since all we had back in South Africa were pirated copies of games for our modded consoles back then. This particular game — and others — was never offered by pirates because it was a 4-disc game because of the cinematics, etc. No pirate was going to burn 4 discs just for one game. I recently played through it for the first time and it was pretty damn fun except for the story that did go off the rails.
Combat is fun, the cinematics hold up (to my old a$$ at least), and it's always so rewarding to hit a point where you need to take out the current CD and put in the next one to keep playing. Will the game crash when the PS1 tries to read the next disc or will it just start playing seamlessly? Seamless! It's the PS1 what an amazing console and what a glorious time to have lived. Damn! My memory card is full.
I can't tell the difference between the two versions in the video. You kids are crazy. I'm still blow away at how close street fighter 2 on consoles was to the arcade version!
It's great that Donkey Kong 94 is at #3, but it needs to be at #1. It is an excellent video game with so much going on and was for a platform that's black and white, takes 4 AA batteries and the game's file size is 879.4 KB. It's Nintendo creativity at it's best.
I don't closely follow Mario Party games and I thought from the top photo that this one had live actors and others dressed up as Nintendo characters in suits like Bowser there. Kinda like a Power Rangers thing. I think Nintendo would have a huge success on their hands if they had to do something like that with a Mario Party. Or perhaps they've already done so since my knowledge of Mario Party games can fit inside a contact lens for an ant.
OMG! Something totally different from game devs. We should all praise them for being brave enough to attempt something not a metroidvania, rouge lite/like, fps, or rpg. I'll definitely try this at some point.
I was so hyped for this and then I see they used AI for the dialogue. I'll just pass and play actual MGS (Edit: I had this as MSG, Madison Square Garden, lol) games. There's many I haven't played through yet. And no AI nonsense.
Played and beat this on the 3DS. It was super difficult for me even on "story" mode. It was my first turned-based RPG and, my goodness, it was a tough slog. Finally beat it and was happy to read that others who were much more versed in RPGs also struggled. I get RPG PTSD when I see the cover art.
Please just hold on to your system and games so that in 20 years, we're all not having to fork out $250 for 1-2 Switch on eBay, lol.
I'll be keeping my Switch. I don't think the Switch 2 will be as great as the Switch - even with more impressive power. The Switch came at a time when Nintendo needed a saviour after the Wii U and Nintendo not only breathed life into a lot of its IPs while honouring its history in this age of retro game fever, but also showcased indie games and showed the gameplay is more important than hardware. But what hardware! I'll never forget seeing the Switch ad for the first time and seeing how I can take the same game away from my house and hand someone else a joy con to play with me. And then you actually do it at a cafe or airport. Switch 1 will be remembered as the better platform, no doubt.
Ecco could really be something special and a fantastic franchise, but if they couldn't iron out any issues by the time it came to the Dreamcast, then I don't have much hope for it even now. Hopefully, I'm wrong.
I ordered some game from some company so long ago, I can't even remember which company or the name of the game. When it finally arrives, I'm probably just going to sell it since I've definitely lost interest if I can't even remember the game.

For the love of everything good in this crappy world, Sega please don't give us AI rubbish. You're a great games company, keep it that way.
