Before attempting to bring any DS game, I'd rather see the Game Cube library available.

After seeing that in Europe we would only have a code in the box, I decided to get my copy from Amazon US which will come with a comic book.
I wouldn't take the risk to buy a digital version only.
Capcom pulled these games from the only store before and can surely do again so, no, I'm not taking the risk.

Honest question, is it playable now on the Switch?
I bought it day one, tried to play but it was horrible and never played it again.

I honestly do not understand the reason not to announce it already.
Every gamer and/or Nintendo fan already has a Switch and surely these people won't be buying another one.
The people that will get a Switch are those not following the gaming news so, even if a announcement is made, those sales are still 'guaranteed'.
I just hope that they will announce the new console sonner rather than later, otherwise, I can see the new console being released late 2025 which is far from ideal.

At this point, I'm not getting any new games on the Switch as I wait for the 'Switch2' release and confirmation of compatibility with the current cartridges.

Never played but this is giving me Metro vibes.
It certainly got my attention and I'll wait for some reviews to make sure the performance is good before buying it.

Give us Wave Race and 1080 remasters if you can't give us new entries!!

It's crazy that there is no news on the new console. Whoever is in the gaming news and fans in general, most certainly already have the Switch and these people are not going to be the ones shopping for a new console during Xmas.
By the trend so far, the Switch won't have great sales during the festive season so just announce it already and open the pre-order to gage the amount of consoles needed when releasing it.

That is a great start! they can't handle ppl getting an alarm, imagine with the Switch 2 release the mess it will be.
I wonder if their 'assurance' of producing more consoles will guarantee that this problem doesn't happen.

If there is no announcement in October, then, forget about until January.
There is no way for them to announce something in November, it's too close to Xmas.

On another note, Amazon FR and NL are selling Marvel vs Capcom collection, however, as confirmed before, they are download codes 😑
Amazon US has the version with a cartridge and, if preordered, it will come with a comic book.

Now that Zelda is out of the way. It would be good to have a Direct in the next couple of days.

Jesus, everybody knows it will happen so just announce it and let us know the release date (probably March 2025).

The point people seem to have forgotten is that the regular buyers do NOT follow gaming news like we do, so for those buyers, the bundles Nintendo will offer will still be purchased in the shops during the Xmas period.
The real gamers and Nintendo fans are not going to buy those bundles but will CERTAINLY get the new console if preorders are available, the Direct is aimed to this target audience.

I found it at Amazon NL and preordered thinking it would have a physical cartridge inside.
Seeing this news I just cancelled the order and went to Amazon US to import it paying considerably more. Well, at least pre-ordering there will give you a 32 page comic book.
Capcom is lucky as I would normally just give up on buying the game but this collection is really special. Those MvC games were hard to find and play.
I remember at some point in the pass the digital stores removed them due to licensing issues so there's no way I'd accept to buy it digitally.

I hope they will keep the educational side of it.
I loved the old games, it was super fun trying to find out where to travel next.
I remember that on MegaDrive the game came with a - quite thick - booklet about facts of the countries and other information that was in the game so you could quickly consult it (if needed).

I'm taking the risk and pre-ordered it, hopefully, I will receive the Switch version.

This reminds me so much B-Ball and Tiny Toon Adventures: Wacky Sports Challenge (both SNES).
I remember spending a lot of time playing these two games.
Looney Tunes B-Ball was hilarious.
I might pick this one up for the basketball and, hopefully, it will be as fun as the SNES version.

Where to buy the physical version in Europe?!

I found the physical version for PS5 on Amazon FR but that is about it...

I really would like to avoid getting it from Amazon US as it will be very expensive

I re-watched the first one again and liked more than the first time.
Definitely the story could be better without Cole but if you just consider him a 'new' fighter like they introduce in the games then you might enjoy it more.
Anyway, I look forward to seeing the second part.

I'll pick it up to provide support and hope that a new, better, entry will be made.

My God I waited for this collection for so many years! Never thought it would ever be released!
By a miracle it exists and will be released on the Switch.
This and Metroid were the highlights for me.

@Serpenterror oh yes, for sure they would need to have an agreement with SNK but, in this case, I think it would be easier to convince them to arrange such collection than with Marvel.
IMO, the SNK versions were inferior (SNK was in a rough $ituation back at that time) than the ones made by Capcom but as a collection, of course, they would be a great to have it.

I'm so happy for this collection, just missing the MvC3 but I take whatever I can!
I wonder if there would be any chances of a Capcom vs SNK collection.
Capcom vs SNK 2 is still one of greatest fighting games I ever played.

PS: it's confirmed that X-Men and Marvel Super Heroes will have the secret fighters (bosses) available to play!

This is day one for me.

I watched the new MK the first time and didn't quite like it but, after watching a second time and knowing what to expect I enjoyed it a lot more, even Cole wasn't so bad!
In any case, I'm looking forward to the MK2 as they will really get into the tournament itself and, hopefully, it will be a good action film!

Did they fix the game on the Switch?
I bought it at launch, played a bit and never touched it again hoping it would be fixed.

They better release a device that's at least at the same level as the PS4. This is to TRY to keep up with the games being released this current generation and also hopping that the revised PS5 and Xbox version don't make a huge gap between the gens.

I remember I tried to play F3 but didn't like the gameplay but I remember I loved the premise.
After watching the series on Prime I can only say that I'd be buying the whole series if available on the Switch.

Maybe that's due the fact they don't have anything to show 🙄

@msvt the backlog that I have is mainly of remakes or ports.
Therefore, games that I already played at some point but would be nice to revisit them.
As for the new console, I'd love to play the new games that Nintendo is cooking (Metroid 4?) using newer technology.
Let's be honest, a 7 years old console that is using internal parts even older has ran its course.
Don't get me wrong, the Switch is an incredible device that allowed me to get back to games and I plan to keep it even when the new console arrives but I think it's time to retire.

@nhSnork tbh, I think I've got all games that I was interested - and I have lots of them - but I just don't see any new ones coming this year. Unless there are still some unannounced that I'll be interested.
I'd only buy new games this year if Nintendo decides to release the rest of the Metroid Prime games, a 1080, Wave Race, Star Fox or other nice dormant IP.
But I seriously doubt that it will happen so I prefer to wait for the new console which, hopefully, won't be already very outdated after the delay.

I'm not investor or anything but I'm not buying any new games for the Switch.
I have a backlog that will keep me busy for at least 6 months.
I reckon many others are like me and Nintendo will lose money by not releasing the new console this year.

I think it would be a mistake to wait until next year.
I can totally see and understand the release in September so that it can benefit from the holiday season but I feel that the Switch would not be appealing enough to stay in the market for another full year.
Also, Nintendo did not announce any releases for the second semester, I think just a Mario remake, so it would be a great opportunity to announce the new console with a AAA game (Metroid 4!!)
