I agree with the article. It amazes me that after the Direct, Nintendo literally 'forgot' the game.
I didn't see a single tweet about it after its release.
I'm sure it would help the sales of the game.
Specially when it's a genre missing on the Switch.
On the other hand, I'm glad to see that it made to the top 40 without much marketing, it proves that there are many players out there interested in these classic IPs.
Hopefully it will sell enough to encourage the devs to make the trilogy package.
@BANJO that's great to hear. My copy is in the post already. I was worried about the performance but it seems like it's quite good. Can't wait to play it!
I'd love to see a new entry with a bit of a mix with Split Second formula.
It would be insane to have the possibility to change the track during the race in a MK game.
Just pre ordered it! Can't wait to play it and I hope it will sell well enough to have the original Trilogy and, perhaps, more classic IPs from Nintendo.
No, not getting it. Haven't played the ones before and feel like these games have nothing appealing to me. Was checking the third one to see if it was good but reviews are in general mixed and the game seems to be average.
Numbers must be declining... I was a sub and would not sign or recommend it to anyone as the service is not very good. Till they start to offer N64 and GC games, it's not very appealing to me.
As I mentioned before, I think Nintendo missed the boat on this one. The OLED is not good enough to make me want to get one.
However, the Steam device is everything I was expected the mythical Pro Switch to be. On the top of that the price is right on the correct mark to make it a very attractive option.
I'll wait for the reviews of the Steam device and if they are good I'll get one on the first opportunity. This time my money won't go to Nintendo.
Steam Deck portable console had its details announced and it will be a powerful machine capable of running triple A games on the go. The price? Itwill start at $399.
Nintendo better be careful with their idea of keeping the same underpowered hardware around for too long.

I've 18 and last year's version and must say that the games are really good. Of course you have loot boxes but that doesn't mean the game is pay to win. I'd say that if you like basketball you can't go wrong with these 2K games.
@AtlanteanMan 100% agree with you. If these games sell well enough they might open doors for other dormant IPs. I really hope that Cruis'n will have a good number on sales. Perhaps we could see in a near future games like F-Zero, Pillotwings, Wave Race, 1080.... We just need to support these releases from the start.
@roboshort I'm sure they will and, hopefully, that will be sooner rather than later. In this announcement though, I think they missed the opportunity to announce the 'real' Pro version. As it is now, we can't expect another revision at least until summer next year. The point is, by that time (if it happens), wouldn't it be a bit too late? I find it very difficult to believe that the developers will manage to keep porting the games released in the PS5 and Xbox.
Disappointed as it did not upgrade the specs (performance) .
It will be nice for future owners but definitely nothing that would make me want to buy right now.
Happy with the version I have.
After playing Mario Golf since the release date, here is my feedback about the game :
graphics are a bit rough in some parts of the courses. The floor on the Bowser map is very bad. Character models also seem strange sometimes. In general it doesn't feel very polished.
maps sizes and variety are good but it feels like the developers didn't invest too much time in creating a mushroom kingdom of golf courses. Apart from the Bowser map, all others seem to be 'normal'.
you can't skip or fast forward the computer's turn.
there is no replays!
Now the good :
controls are good and easy to pick up.
courses are fun.
Character selection is good.
super rush mode is really good, certainly a nice addition.
story mode is fun and a good way to introduce the game mechanics.
Even with those sort of negative points, I'd still recommend it.
I hope that the updates will improve a bit the graphics, will bring more courses and add extra modes/challenges.
@tntswitchfan68 jesus dude, take a chill pill and get out of your mum's basement for some fresh air.
First of, I didn't mention what kind of control each game has and I couldn't care less about it.
What I said is that the Mario Party game didn't get any DLC (paid or not) and IN MY OPINION, it didn't have enough content.
And, of course, Nintendo doesn't own us a thing the same way I don't have to buy their games. In this case I won't get the new Mario Party.
Personally, I think that a new Star Fox with a similar gameplay as we had in Starlink is the way forward.
I'd love to see Nintendo developing the gameplay over that idea and, perhaps, combining it with on foot infiltration missions with the possibility to change characters so that you could use their skills etc.
That would be a great game in my view.
@johnvboy I need to sell my Mario Party copy. Still feel the bitter taste of that game. It's bonkers that Nintendo had the audacity to announce a brand new entry and didn't offer any meaningful update for the other one.
I've just received my copy and played a 18 hole game in the basic course.
Also started the story mode.
So far it's what I was expecting, I mean, I only played the N64 version and that was a brilliant game.
I feel that this one has a similar vibe with added extras.
I don't think it's a bad game, it does what it's meant to do in a fun way.
Perhaps, it might be missing some content but if it follows the same steps as the Tennis game, then, updates will arrive. Hopefully, these updates will arrive quickly and constantly so ppl don't lose interest in it.
@Don I know it's not ideal but if you watch the trailer there is a list of tracks, they appear quite fast so you need to pause the video often to read them.
@Realness by the info on the trailer it seems that we are going to have about 29 tracks and in those tracks it will be included the 5 from the original Arcade release.
It looks so nice! I remember playing a lot with my friends. Certainly day one and I hope it will sell well enough so that Nintendo can bring back more dormant IPs.
It still amazes me that it's taking this long to present, at least, a short trailer with some gameplay. I mean, Platinum most certainly have assets from previous games that can be used and further developed. It's hard to believe they'd start everything from scratch. Perhaps Nintendo is holding them back?
From what was shown I plan to get Mario Golf (already preordered), Metroid and Cruis'n.
All others that I'm interested will be released next year only 😐
And for Cruis'n, I do hope it will sell well enough to give a sign to Nintendo to bring more dormant IPs in the near future.

@Tisteg80 thanks for the tip, the price is good. Will check it if they deliver here in BE.

@Tandy255 I'm in Belgium so any online shop that ships to Europe would do the trick.

Not related to the this particular game but does anyone know where I can find a physical copy of Tony Hawk with a good price?

Re: Nintendo Expands Its Switch Online SNES Service With Three More Titles
Nintendo is really scraping the barrel.
Already past the time to bring 64 and Cube games.
Re: Poll: So, Will You Be Getting A Switch OLED Or Valve Steam Deck?

Switch killer.
Nintendo missed the boat.

@PSoneboi agree, I think Nintendo missed the boat with OLED, it should have been a real 'PRO', able to keep up with the new generation.

More competition would be better.
