I watched the new MK the first time and didn't quite like it but, after watching a second time and knowing what to expect I enjoyed it a lot more, even Cole wasn't so bad!
In any case, I'm looking forward to the MK2 as they will really get into the tournament itself and, hopefully, it will be a good action film!

Did they fix the game on the Switch?
I bought it at launch, played a bit and never touched it again hoping it would be fixed.

They better release a device that's at least at the same level as the PS4. This is to TRY to keep up with the games being released this current generation and also hopping that the revised PS5 and Xbox version don't make a huge gap between the gens.

I dread to think they are the ones producing the Bioshock film 😑

I remember I tried to play F3 but didn't like the gameplay but I remember I loved the premise.
After watching the series on Prime I can only say that I'd be buying the whole series if available on the Switch.

Maybe that's due the fact they don't have anything to show 🙄

Star Wars and Epic Mickey were the only salvageable ones for me.

@msvt the backlog that I have is mainly of remakes or ports.
Therefore, games that I already played at some point but would be nice to revisit them.
As for the new console, I'd love to play the new games that Nintendo is cooking (Metroid 4?) using newer technology.
Let's be honest, a 7 years old console that is using internal parts even older has ran its course.
Don't get me wrong, the Switch is an incredible device that allowed me to get back to games and I plan to keep it even when the new console arrives but I think it's time to retire.

@nhSnork tbh, I think I've got all games that I was interested - and I have lots of them - but I just don't see any new ones coming this year. Unless there are still some unannounced that I'll be interested.
I'd only buy new games this year if Nintendo decides to release the rest of the Metroid Prime games, a 1080, Wave Race, Star Fox or other nice dormant IP.
But I seriously doubt that it will happen so I prefer to wait for the new console which, hopefully, won't be already very outdated after the delay.

I'm not investor or anything but I'm not buying any new games for the Switch.
I have a backlog that will keep me busy for at least 6 months.
I reckon many others are like me and Nintendo will lose money by not releasing the new console this year.

I think it would be a mistake to wait until next year.
I can totally see and understand the release in September so that it can benefit from the holiday season but I feel that the Switch would not be appealing enough to stay in the market for another full year.
Also, Nintendo did not announce any releases for the second semester, I think just a Mario remake, so it would be a great opportunity to announce the new console with a AAA game (Metroid 4!!)

I'm skipping it and, tbf, anything that is planned for this year.
My wallet is waiting for the new Switch and only if the new console accepts the current cartridges.

I played and liked a lot.
In normal circumstances I'd buy it straight away, however, I plan not to invest on the Switch anymore.
Last game I bought was Batman - huge fan - but I am not going to get new games when the new 'Switch' is on the horizon.
I will wait for the new console and will start to invest there.

A bit too late for me. At this point I'm not getting any new Switch games anymore.

What's the point of having a Direct if there is nothing to show?
Pretty much everything that's coming this year for the Switch has already been presented somehow.
Either announce the new Switch or do nothing.

Personally, I bought my last Switch game in Oct last year.
Will surely get the new 'Switch' and only hope for it to accept the current cartridges.
In terms of power, it wouldn't be bad to reach PS4 level.

This is the second time for me after many years so it's nice to play it again as I forgot most of it already.
Next one will be City which I also played many years ago and I feel that I forgot it even more than Asylum.
And here is hoping that Knight will be fixed soon.

I'm having a lot of fun with the first game and saw that the second one plays better so I'll finish both and hopefully there will be a patch to fix the third one - which I never played before.
All in all the trilogy is worth to get it if you like this kind of games.

I'm playing Arkham now and so far so good.
The game is just as fun to play as I remember on the 360.
For Knight, which I never played, I'm hoping that some patches will fix the main issues.

Can't wait to get my copy today!
Hopefully, by the time I get to the third game, there will be a few patches to fix the frame rate for the batmobile parts.

Pre ordered it and can't wait to play it on the go.

I'd love to see the possibility to change the tracks like in the Split Second game.
That was such a great feature that would translate perfectly in Mario Kart.

I have Borderlands collection on the Switch and was trying to play the first one but couldn't pass the first boss (😅), so I gave up and now I'm reluctant to get the third one to complete the collection.

October is usually so packed, it's the 'worse' month as you can't keep up.
I'm getting Batman but wish I had enough cash for Metal Gear, Red Dead Redemption and Fifa (can't remember the new name).

I bought the very first Fifa released on the Switch and hoped, at that time, they would improve the port as the time went by but delivering a proper port/update at the end of the console's life cycle is a joke.
I guess it will still sell well enough as seen from the previous versions released but I, for sure, won't be getting it for the Switch.
If I ever buy it will be for the next Switch console.

I've managed to get it for 35€ and the game looks worse than MK 11 but it's totally playable and the story mode is really good.
I'm hoping that the update with come sooner rather than later to make it the perfect bargain for me 👌

@ozwally But it is. The regulation is about all portable devices and it includes laptops, handheld consoles and, most importantly mobile phones.

A bit later in the game as the Switch is nearing the end but as they say: better later than ever.

The game is amazing!
I already have around 100hrs and only did one dungeon.
Currently I'm trying to collect all armor pieces that I can and finding the shrines to improve my stats.
After that, side quest and only after that I will continue the main campaign.

Batman, Metal Gear and the new Mario.
All the rest is a pass for me.

Better later than never! Can't wait to get this and Metal Gear!

By the looks of it, this game will be a cross-gen release.
There is no way at this stage that Nintendo will launch it exclusively on the Switch.
Even if it becomes ready tomorrow they will postpone it until the next Nintendo console is available.

Tbh, the first time I watched the film I felt that it was not good apart from a few fighting scenes.
However, watching it again I enjoyed a lot more. Even Cole wasn't so bad, however, I'd prefer the new film to focus a lot more on the most popular fighters.

That went down hill VERY quickly!

With Zelda now in the people's hand this is, in a way, the best that could happen for them as they will not only have enough time to polish the game but also have plenty of time for people to finish Zelda and look for the next adventure.

Sounds like everything that I hoped for and much more!
Can't wait to play it tomorrow!

That is great news and only makes me more excited to play it!
It is starting to sound like that the game is much bigger than the BotW and not a 'DLC' as many people have been complaining about it.

I normally search on several Amazon countries in the EU but I'd assume that out there we can find sites with better discounts and other offers.

There's a reason why they cannot talk which creates the film's tension and suspense.
There's no reason why Link would not talk to someone.

I suppose, if Nintendo really wants to expand their presence in the cinema or TV_series with other IPs, they would need to give Link a voice, otherwise it would be difficult to adapt it.
Watching a 90min film with a mute main character is just a no go.

This game is great, I just wish Nintendo would be bring it back along with Wave Race!

This game must be great but in my opinion, we have enough of Kirby games already.
I wish Nintendo would invest on IPs that are dormant. For instance I'd love to see a remake of Pillotwings 64 instead of this remake.
Or Star Fox, 1080, Wave Race, F-Zero, Diddy Kong Race etc.
Literally anything else.

@Supermoose8645 well, I was trying to keep it 'real' for Nintendo standards and I reckon they will never be able to match the current gen consoles.
Keeping as powerful as ( at least) the PS4 would probably allow the games to run at 1080p and have a better frame rate.

Let's be honest, it's passed the time for the release of a new console.
When it happens I just want 3 things from the new console :

• To be as powerful as the last gen PS4.
• Continue to be hybrid.
• backward compatibility.
