Sales might be a bit lower than expected eh?

I've got it and, after many years, away from the series I must say that MK 11 is an excellent game.
It runs nicely on the Switch and to play it on the go is amazing.

You must be a lunatic to purchase any Fifa game on the Switch.
I can understand if you don't own any of them but it would be crazy to buy a game that is, literally, copy and paste from the previous version with no real improvements.

Annndddd... Another cash grab from Nintendo.
It went down hill very fast!

Hmm, I know Ubi does it all the time but I liked the idea of the game and was planning to preorder it.
With this information I'll now wait to see the reviews and check how these in game purchases influence the gameplay.

Age of Calamity and GI Joe are under my radar.

Good to see that it's going to be released on Switch and Nintendo is not censuring it.

BTW, not related to the post but, currently, Bulletstorm is 75% off on eShop.
I've never played it before and can certainly say that this game is amazingly fun.
With this discount, it is a real bargain.

My copy is still sealed.
I'm patiently awaiting the limited release window to finish to make up my mind if I should sell it or keep it.

It was, definitely, the best of these presentations.
Even got me interested on getting MH Rise. I've never played the series before and it looked very interesting.
Ori was also a nice surprise and the gangster game looks fun.
All in all there was more 'meat' in this presentation than the previous ones and it would have been perfect if we had got a release date for Doom.

This is a service that was only renewed because it was on automatic.
This year I won't renew it and until it gets seriously better I'm out of it.

@TG16_IS_BAE agreed, was also expecting some comments on comparing Mario 64 here with the 3DS remake. But, nope, nothing there.

It's more like a 6 or 7 to me.
Doesn't matter how great these games are. This collection was meant to be something special and a celebration of Mario's franchise.
What we get are ports that had very little improvements and nearly to zero bonus contents.

The last two were bad... Hopefully this one will have some good surprises.

This must be a price for those that don't have Fifa on the platform yet so it will be 'new' for them.
I have the first Fifa (2018 I think) and would never buy this edition.
EA had plenty of time to adapt the game properly and didn't do it.
They should follow the example of 2K basketball games that are on pair with other platforms in terms of content and gameplay upgrades.

I think it's looking good and if it's trying to improve some of Botw mechanics then I don't see the issue here.
This is, perhaps, how a new Kid Icarus game should be and, for the moment, this is going to be my Xmas game unless something more interesting comes up.

Personally, I'd love to see a MK 9 with destructable tracks like the ones from the game Split Second. So along with the items you would have the chance to destroy and change the course of the tracks.
I think that would be the next level for the series.

It will be very interesting if Sega announces a better celebration package than Nintendo did.
I mean, it doesn't need to be much to beat that but, if that happens, it will sort of bring back that rivalry they used to have.

I guess there is not much to offer on this package so any 'little' thing is a highlight?
The more I think about it the more I realise the missed opportunity to celebrate Mario franchise.
I wonder, for instance, why Nintendo didn't offer a Mario 'sport all stars', with a Golf, Strikers and Tennis 'remaster' to cater for those that are into sport's games?

I was saying the exactly opposite. Most of the people that I know that live in London don't have a massive living room area like the one in the video.
And, as far as I know, in most of the European capitals, the average population live in apartments that are not big.

@Tandy255 I might be wrong but, I think, at some point in the past, Nintendo released an All Stars with 4x Mario games so it's something that they have done before and by judging the 'quality' of these ports I reckon they could have included Galaxy 2.

@Guitario yep, Galaxy 2 would be a much better inclusion.
Well, let's hope they have a very good surprise for November and December to announce in the near future.

@Guitario I thought they would, at least, remaster these games to bring their looks to the level of Odyssey and, perhaps, give players an option to play with the classic 'look' but nope, not going to happen 😑

@Wexter while I agree with your reasoning behind the price I am still a bit disappointed.
Don't get me wrong if I'm being pedantic, I was just expecting more for a special celebration of Nintendo's main franchise.
It would be better to also include Galaxy 2 but it seems that it won't happen.

@MeowMeowKins if you are satisfied for ports with minimum improvements and a full price, then, it's good for you.
For a special occasion of their main franchise I was expecting much more care.
The Mario 3D collection doesn't even include Galaxy 2 for Christ's sake.
If they had done a complete remaster on these games and left galaxy 2 out I'd understand but no, all of them are nearly straight ports.

Not enough space in the houses in Europe to use that nicely.
The idea is cool and kids are going to love it but it's certainly not for me.

Disappointed to say the least.

If I buy it will be to resell it for a small fortune afterwards.

All these ports are very basic IMHO.
The Mario Kart thingy might be interesting for younger kids but not very user friendly in most of the houses in Europe that have a smaller living space area.
Everything else was just 'meh'

The 3D collection is a let down as it is just a slightly better port of the originals.

To be honest, at this stage, anything that Nintendo can come up with will be great.
It's looking depressing at the moment, if you think about it, it's already September and there's nothing relevant announced for the festive season and, no, Pikimin is definitely not enough. In my opinion it shouldn't even be an October release.

I saw a few videos on YouTube and it's clear that the textures on the outside areas are horrible and make the world look lifeless.
However, the indoor areas look much better (not great) and the game seems to run well.
My question is, would a patch to improve the quality, is this game good enough to buy?
Does anyone here have it on the Switch and can tell me about the gameplay itself?
I might want to purchase it once the patch is released but want to know if the actual game is good.

I'm a bit broke now but might pick this up when it gets a discount.

Currently trying to finish Call of Juarez and, in between, playing Burnout Paradise.
Apart from these, there is nothing interesting for me to play afterwards.

So, if I understand correctly, using that method wouldn't require the hardware to changed drastically in order to run games that would see impossible to port.
Regardless of what they are planning, it's hard to think how Nintendo would keep the compatibility across the board.

They should have it bundled with 1&2 to try to justify the price.
Heck, you can get Assassin's Creed, Bioshock and Borderlands for less than 30 pounds and they are all bundle games.
Also agree that they don't have anything really new to get people excited.
It's been a very poor year for Nintendo, only 3x really new games released in 8 months.
And one of these games is a board game collection - not very exciting.

A quick search on Amazon shows that you can get : Animal Crossing, Luigi's Mansion, Paper Mario and several 3rd party games for under 40 quid.
It's crazy that Nintendo is pricing Pikimin 3 at that price.
It should cost around 30/35 pounds max and that's being generous.

Well, they better have something to show really soon.
Their competitors aren't waiting for Nintendo.
Also, it seems no new games from Nintendo in August... They'd better have some big weapons to announce for Xmas period.

If it's true, then, it's crazy that didn't announce it together with the other platforms.
I still don't get how they can't release the game at the same time. It's not like the Switch is new so you don't have enough time to develop on it.
