I still don't get how it works, but had no idea you could keep your Pokemon from so many older games. I feel really bad for this user. Hopefully Nintendo support can help but I doubt it.

I think those against Key Cards are hoping they rot on store shelves and in online stores. It will be up the retailers to keep track of the Key Card sales?

Classic Game Boy / Advance games on NSO?
Quality Blu-Ray releases for the classic anime? Maybe that's more of a Viz thing but it's Pokemon.

I don't know yet when my SW2 will arrive from Target. I doubt it will be on release day, which is fine. I cannot find any SD Express cards in stock but I'd get a 1TB if affordable, but I can wait for that too. Either way getting more excited for next week.

Retailers, don't cancel pre-orders. Convert them to back orders and let the customer decide if they want to wait or try their luck elsewhere. This is all assuming GAME just ran out of incoming stock for all the orders.

Hope we get a physical version in the west, with game on cart. It should sell like hotcakes for fans of the franchise. I'd buy it.

I guess that Target got a little too excited about the Switch 2? Or they got their Tuesdays mixed up maybe? Either way I am hyped.

Good to hear. Already have Rune Factory on pre-order and I plan to buy Grand Bizarre as well. I don't know all the logistics, but I hope these physical versions sell well enough that Marvelous can keep releasing their games on cartridge. And maybe, just maybe, other companies will do the same.

Not sure this game is for me, but for the creators and fans of these games, I really hope it does well.

Would love to play some of the older GB and GBA Pokemon games on NSO. I never had the chance, they are way too $$ and don't feel like taking the time to get it running in other ways.

Shenmue fans, by and large, were disappointed with 3 because it didn't complete the story. There is no guarantee we ever see a Shenmue IV.

Wow, just wow. I wonder how many people that buy Pokemon cards are investors, speculators and scalpers, vs actual Pokemon fans. 50/50?

But seriously, why does no one bring up the idea of back orders? IDK what happened in retail, but back orders used to be a thing. If an item was not in stock and more are being manufactured, you can back order it. Maybe places stopped doing that a long time ago but I think it would help a lot of people, and probably reduce scalpers prospective customers.

Looking forward to hearing what some of my favorite YT creators say about it. I know Johnny Millennium's wife Kim is really excited for it.

A new game console release is always exciting for me.

Regardless of your opinions on them, it should be interesting to see sales numbers for key card games. And if the sales results will mean anything changes, either more or less key card games.

The key cards are the only thing that cause me to change. Gaming has been expensive for a long time, it goes up with each generation. I stopped getting every console 2 generations ago and like nearly everyone, I have a backlog a mile long. I don't need to play games the day they come out, and usually buy my games on sale.

Regardless of anything else about them, pretty cut and dry, Genki leaked the Switch 2 hardware with mock ups. What did everyone expect to happen?

Sorry to hear this news. Hope they land on their feet somewhere better. Besides websites like NL, I mostly follow independent YouTube creators like Switchup, HappyConsoleGamer, etc. Maybe that's where some of these folks should try?

Physical collectors are fully aware that nearly all games for the last 3-4 generations need patches to run, updates, etc. That doesn't invalidate the feelings that they want a version of the game on the cart. A game key card is never going to substitute for this, it's just an alternative to buying a game on the eshop.

Good to hear but I would want to keep my Switch as is and start new on Switch 2.

@pikachupikachup Reminded of when Nintendo started selling carts to third parties back in the NES days. Atari / Tengen tried to work around it with their own carts, didn't amount to much. Probably not the same thing.

@Stuffgamer1 @pikachupikachup I wonder why Nintendo titles are on cart while most third parties are not. Sure they are saving money. But wonder if some of this also falls on Nintendo for their cart costs to third parties. Seems familiar.

Scalpers should know how we see them, especially if they are selling pre-orders. How do they sleep at night?

I will never understand why retailers don't, or cannot, allow back orders of stuff like this. This is not a limited item. Instead we need to pre-order before launch, or get lucky online or in store after launch.

Up late last night. Best Buy never showed SW2 as available for me. Then in line at Walmart. After some ordering glitches, was able to pay Target for my console around 11:10 Central Time. Hopefully nothing happens to my order between now and June 5. Surprised right now.

Madden but no College Football yet, seems dumb. They don't require any different hardware resources to run.

Last night Best Buy never allowed me to add to cart. And was in line with Walmart. Ordered a Switch 2 from Target after 10 minutes, 11:10pm Central Time. Check out process was a little wonky, asked me for my addresses when I've bought before. So far order is still valid. Fingers crossed. Good luck to everyone else that either bought or would like to.

I'd love to play most of the list. Also a Twilight Princess port or remaster would be preferred if not on NSO.

In the US. Missed out on the PS4 version but was happy to order the SW edition. It arrived yesterday from Amazon but was damaged. Returning but cannot get a replacement until restock. Ugh!
