The guys at SwitchUp were impressed when they checked out the London event, and I very much trust their opinions. Looking forward to hearing from some others on YT that I like.

Not sure what his deal is but sounds like sour gapes or something else. I know people love the Wii U for the games, but the console was not successful. I was worried Nintendo would do something crazy with the SW2 and we'd have the Wii U all over again. Time will tell, but what we've seen from the SW2 hardware is a good sign for success.

Still sounds like a hot mess. How will we know which is which on the outside of the box? If the upgrade pack is on the cartridge, what does that even mean? Instead of downloading it from the eshop, we launch it from the cart and it upgrades the game on the internal memory? It's not really a SW2 version on the cart.

I'm going to sound like a broken record here. How about retailers take pre-orders for as long as needed, even after the console launches? Back order. The Switch 2 is not a limited item. Some customers would be tempted to buy from a scalper instead of wait, but I personally would be okay waiting a few months if I knew my order was confirmed. Constantly checking online or stopping at local stores every week sucks.

Are the key card games going to be cheaper than the full game carts? Are they going to be in line with the digital copies? Being able to resell / move the game between systems muddies the waters with pricing. I think I would more okay with this if the price was cheaper.

Looks pretty cool. I love the character designs, right out of an anime.

$450 is a fair price for the console. The price for Mario Kart is too high. Not a fan at all of the key cards either.

I'm okay with invites honestly, especially if it increases the chance of getting a console.

It's a Youtuber looking to get clicks for cash, nothing more. Hopefully that covers his 2 weeks camping out at least. We still don't know how much the console will cost in the US. If he's a month in and Nintendo announces the US price will be $650, then what?

He doesn't sound as bad as Mattrick did in his interview, which was pretty rude. And $450 is not a bad price. We should be more concerned with the high prices of certain games.

They should have figured out a way to prove the extra value before dropping the price bomb on us all. It's still not too late to lower the price on this game Nintendo.

Hopefully Nintendo will take the feedback and come back with more clarity prior to the launch date, maybe they even backtrack on some unpopular decisions that can still be changed, like game prices etc. Wait and see.

I'd be surprised if Nintendo didn't release a port of Wind Waker HD for sale, especially if the effort isn't great to develop it. People would buy it, myself included. Would still like a Twilight Princess HD version based off the Gamecube, which is maybe more likely given it wasn't listed during the direct video?

Prefer physical games but I would take digital over a key card, regardless of any resale ability.

Less than $5 per month? That's a great deal. I'm hoping all the SW2 upgraded games are included with NSO+Expansion pack, outside of those upgrades that are free for all.

I have the online sub, its not much IMO. Hopefully it will give me access to all the SW2 upgrades I need.

This sucks for many reasons. I prefer physical games but if digital is going to be cheaper than that's what I will get unless there is a sale price, which Nintendo rarely has.

Super Switch all the way. But Switch 2 is certainly better than an obscure name that confuses consumers.

I wonder what they will charge for upgrading both games. Will they also release new physical versions?

Hopefully the pro controller works well. The GC controller will probably be hard to come by.

If Nintendo first party digital games start costing $15-$20 less than physical, I may be going digital only for most of them. It's so sad to say this.

So much Trails goodness this year. Hopefully when Trails in the Sky launches in fall we get a trailer for the other two in the trilogy, for 2026.

I still think that a pre-order being sold out is just plain stupid. So what? Let me pre-order for a future SW2 shipment. If people know they have a SW2 coming, less would buy from scalpers, I would hope. I'm not looking forward to stopping at the store every few days to check for a SW2, or constantly checking online stores.

Hoping for free upgrades and that most games run better by default. I know that's not like waving a magic wand, but hoping Nintendo devs planned for this eventuality. IDK about third party. Hoping any games coming out in 2025 will be optimized for SW2 out of the box if they need it: Lunar, Rune Factory Azuma, Trails in the Sky, Pokemon Z-A are high on my list.

You're better off going to a mom and pop retro game store to buy and trade in games. These bigger companies don't know anything about retro.

I go past one of these machines every time I'm getting groceries. Never thought someone would camp out for a restock. Good grief. That looks like it was inside a Target store, and I bet they are hiring. Maybe the scalper should get a real job. Hopefully the person interviewing him doesn't see this video though.

I don't know how this really all works, but I wonder if big retailers like Walmart and Amazon would have anything to say. They may be too rich to care one way or the other. Maybe they can afford to pay the added costs themselves.

People are still waiting for their Switch copies of Chained Echoes from First Press Games. That's a pretty popular and beloved RPG.

Probably will get rid of the SW1 at some point when it's not needed. But there are many unanswered questions. Will the SW2 play all my SW1 games? Will it work with the retro contollers like NES, SNES, etc?

The Direct can't get here soon enough. Hopefully Nintendo can keep any other details a secret until then, unlike the hardware reveal which was spoiled by some of their partners. Still not sure how that was allowed to happen.

Yikes. Outside of the official news coming in April, I'm most interested in what Nintendo intends to do about all the leaks leading up to the hardware reveal. How many vendor contracts will be voided for those that leaked?
