Nintendo could combat the greedy label if their first party games went on sale more often and with a bigger discount, or permanently lower the prices after a certain number of years after release.

Not surprised at all. Looking at the WB movie, TV and animation catalog, it's a way bigger deal IMO. Classic IP all around. Just hope Netflix doesn't lock it all away behind streaming, especially stuff that still hasn't been brought to home video. Netflix rarely lets an exclusive show out of streaming jail. Look at their exclusive anime properties. Can't think of one western blu-ray release.

Not sure if Paramount would be much better. Maybe more home video releases? Netflix rarely lets anything exclusive to them get to home video.

Not sure how I feel right now. This is live action Zelda so no matter what it feels off to me. Animation would've been better since none of the Zelda games are made to look realistic or real life.

It's baffling to me they didn't have VA when they started releasing Pokemon on Switch. I wouldn't need everything to have voice but at least the cut scenes.

The Story of Seasons games are also usually better, according to reviews and fan feedback.

No upgrade path is dumb. Not sure if other publishers do the same. 90% of third parties are game key card only.

This topic is destroying any excitement I have for 3rd party games on Switch 2. It genuinely makes me sad. Hopefully Nintendo will see the physical sales numbers for Key Cards, and if they are very low, make a change. I wish I could fill out the survey. It would release some endorphins.

Bummer for sure but we shouldn't be surprised anymore. There are only a couple developers plus Nintendo releasing cartridges for their SW2 games.

With Key Cards game is downloaded to your Switch, taking up more space. With a cartridge the only thing downloaded is patches and DLC.

How did I miss Totodile was one of the starters. I loved Totodile from the original Anime. Now I'm super interested in this game.

@ShieldHero DVD is better than nothing. Just don't understand why they don't do Blu-Ray for anime made to be in HD.

Was hoping for more classic games for NSO. Also would really like the more of the cartoon/anime released on Blu-Ray. Maybe that's more with Viz.

Well, that's one way to combat the key card alternative of buying the SW1 version and upgrading. Pretty lame. Makes us all wonder about the DQ3 HD-2D version. Are going to patch it for SW2 or what?

Fair enough point on one hand. But now we need larger internal storage for all the downloaded games. Physical Switch 1 games save space because you only needed to store updates and DLC on your internal storage. I assume that's how it works on Switch 2 as well, I don't have one to check. I think this point gets lost in all the other discussions.

This whole story is just bizarre. But I would rather give my money to Video Games Plus or PNP Games.

Still too early to tell, it's only been a couple weeks since launch. If key card games rot on store shelves and in online inventory, we know they are a big failure.

@HammerKirby I never thought of that but makes sense. Getting the SW1 edition of key card games doesn't guarantee a SW2 upgrade, paid or free.

I still don't get how it works, but had no idea you could keep your Pokemon from so many older games. I feel really bad for this user. Hopefully Nintendo support can help but I doubt it.

I think those against Key Cards are hoping they rot on store shelves and in online stores. It will be up the retailers to keep track of the Key Card sales?

I don't know yet when my SW2 will arrive from Target. I doubt it will be on release day, which is fine. I cannot find any SD Express cards in stock but I'd get a 1TB if affordable, but I can wait for that too. Either way getting more excited for next week.

Retailers, don't cancel pre-orders. Convert them to back orders and let the customer decide if they want to wait or try their luck elsewhere. This is all assuming GAME just ran out of incoming stock for all the orders.

Hope we get a physical version in the west, with game on cart. It should sell like hotcakes for fans of the franchise. I'd buy it.

I guess that Target got a little too excited about the Switch 2? Or they got their Tuesdays mixed up maybe? Either way I am hyped.

Good to hear. Already have Rune Factory on pre-order and I plan to buy Grand Bizarre as well. I don't know all the logistics, but I hope these physical versions sell well enough that Marvelous can keep releasing their games on cartridge. And maybe, just maybe, other companies will do the same.

Not sure this game is for me, but for the creators and fans of these games, I really hope it does well.

Would love to play some of the older GB and GBA Pokemon games on NSO. I never had the chance, they are way too $$ and don't feel like taking the time to get it running in other ways.

Shenmue fans, by and large, were disappointed with 3 because it didn't complete the story. There is no guarantee we ever see a Shenmue IV.

Wow, just wow. I wonder how many people that buy Pokemon cards are investors, speculators and scalpers, vs actual Pokemon fans. 50/50?

But seriously, why does no one bring up the idea of back orders? IDK what happened in retail, but back orders used to be a thing. If an item was not in stock and more are being manufactured, you can back order it. Maybe places stopped doing that a long time ago but I think it would help a lot of people, and probably reduce scalpers prospective customers.

Looking forward to hearing what some of my favorite YT creators say about it. I know Johnny Millennium's wife Kim is really excited for it.
