"But Stray Children seems to be very much in the same vein as Moon, an oddball RPG which subverts genre tropes"
I don't think Moon can even be considered a RPG 😅, but it's nice to see things coming full circle and now Toby Fox is inspiring the people that inspired him. This one looks like an actual RPG.
8 years later and Gamefreak was never able to adapt to HD graphics. Maybe by the end of the Switch 2 life cycle they will finally catch up with PS3 technology.
Nah, it’s always the same thing. At first, companies are eager to support the console and praise its power, but 2–3 years later they start saying it’s not powerful enough, and most third-party games begin skipping it. It happened to the Switch 1 and even to the Wii u to certain degree, and it's probably going to happen to the Switch 2 considering the the next Next Gen is coming out in 2 years.
@the_beaver Hollow Knight was released 8 years ago, everything has been adjusted to inflation. AAA games went from being $60 to $70/$80 in that time and now top indie releases like Deltarune and Hades 2 are $25/$30.
November is probably going to be a very packed month, so I hope this doesn't bite them in the ass in the future. Honestly, I don't know why they just didn't delay it to later that month because Silksong aside, september is a somewhat calm month.
Now I probably won't give this game a chance because it will competing against Mina the Hollower, Rue Valley and Morsels. And some of the games that I follow are still set to come out this year but doesn't have a release date yet, so it's pretty likely that some of them will choose november too.
It's always the same, previous gen games run great on nintendo's latest console, and then 1-2 years later everyone call it underpowered. Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will most likely run like ass.
@Suketoudara Nah, people also hated the combat itself, the graphics and the lack of progression for the story, and that's something that can't be fixed.
Probably most of the announcements will be old games:
Persona 3 Reload Metaphor Refantazio Final Fantasy 7 Remake Yakuza Like a Dragon Etrian Odyssey 4 and 5 HD NieR Replicant KINGDOM HEARTS -HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX- Forza Horizon 4 Hifi-rush Psychonauts 1 and 2 Grounded 1 Gears of War: Reloaded Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Resident Evil 2 Remake Resident Evil 7 Dead Rising Remaster Monster Hunter World Ys X Proud Nordic
@Daggot "If the game engine is doing anything like what SoR4 does, it's not a simple title-based pixel engine. SoR4 does a lot with lighting and effects across the various layers. There are several videos that cover how the game is put together. If Ninja Gaiden is build in a similar way, I can see why it takes more CPU muscle to pull off than what it may look like."
Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound looks entirely pixel art — the characters don’t cast any shadows or reflections, and even the visual effects are done in pixel art. It's from the studio that made Blasphemous 1 and 2, and those games had better performance.
People shocked at Link actor having brown hair forgets that the first Link and the "excuse me, princess!" Link were also brown haired. And honestly, if we were able to accept Link getting rid of his green suit, I don't see brown hair as something hard to get used to.
@HotGoomba Hardly, New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe is a re-release just like Persona 5 Royal and SMT V: Vengeance were. They didn't remaster the graphics at all.
Lmao, how did they manage to do such an outrageous job at remaking these games three times in a row without having the rights for the franchise taken away?
So many people butthurt at consumers speaking their minds, this is why people see Nintendo fans as conformist bootlickers. I'm glad that Steam users don't downplay this kinda of practices, and this is why Steam remains as the best platform.
Kinda low score considering the only 2 Cons... Thou, it also looks like other sites have been less generous with their scores so far, so this is actually one of the higher ones... I guess it'll wait for more reviews.

Re: Tales Of Xillia Remastered Coming This October, Confirmed 30fps For Switch
They expect us to believe a Switch can't run a PS3 game at 60fps? .-. The worst part, the game skipped PS4 while getting a Switch port -_-
Re: UK Charts: And Just Like That, Mario Kart World Is Back In The Lead
Those are abysmal sales for the Switch 2 versions of Cyberpunk and Hogwarts Legacy. How is Howgwarts Legacy selling better on the OG switch? .-.

I don't get the complaints about the graphics, it looks fine and it's a $35 game, and most important, the game looks fun.
I've also seen people glazing Double Dragon: Neon, and that one doesn't look better.
