It's always the same, previous gen games run great on nintendo's latest console, and then 1-2 years later everyone call it underpowered. Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will most likely run like ass.
@Suketoudara Nah, people also hated the combat itself, the graphics and the lack of progression for the story, and that's something that can't be fixed.
Probably most of the announcements will be old games:
Persona 3 Reload Metaphor Refantazio Final Fantasy 7 Remake Yakuza Like a Dragon Etrian Odyssey 4 and 5 HD NieR Replicant KINGDOM HEARTS -HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX- Forza Horizon 4 Hifi-rush Psychonauts 1 and 2 Grounded 1 Gears of War: Reloaded Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Resident Evil 2 Remake Resident Evil 7 Dead Rising Remaster Monster Hunter World Ys X Proud Nordic
@Daggot "If the game engine is doing anything like what SoR4 does, it's not a simple title-based pixel engine. SoR4 does a lot with lighting and effects across the various layers. There are several videos that cover how the game is put together. If Ninja Gaiden is build in a similar way, I can see why it takes more CPU muscle to pull off than what it may look like."
Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound looks entirely pixel art — the characters don’t cast any shadows or reflections, and even the visual effects are done in pixel art. It's from the studio that made Blasphemous 1 and 2, and those games had better performance.
People shocked at Link actor having brown hair forgets that the first Link and the "excuse me, princess!" Link were also brown haired. And honestly, if we were able to accept Link getting rid of his green suit, I don't see brown hair as something hard to get used to.
@HotGoomba Hardly, New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe is a re-release just like Persona 5 Royal and SMT V: Vengeance were. They didn't remaster the graphics at all.
Lmao, how did they manage to do such an outrageous job at remaking these games three times in a row without having the rights for the franchise taken away?
So many people butthurt at consumers speaking their minds, this is why people see Nintendo fans as conformist bootlickers. I'm glad that Steam users don't downplay this kinda of practices, and this is why Steam remains as the best platform.
Kinda low score considering the only 2 Cons... Thou, it also looks like other sites have been less generous with their scores so far, so this is actually one of the higher ones... I guess it'll wait for more reviews.
After watching the new cutscenes on YouTube I can say this director cut version is just a cash grab to take advantage of the switch 2 launch hype and charge 50 bucks for what was 20 bucks.
Yakuza 0 is still a great game thou, even if most of the new scenes aren't good, the base game has the quality to be worth the 50 bucks.
Kinda sad that it took Game Freak an entire console generation just to reach standard Switch 1 performance. Let's hope they are able to keep that performance when they start to make exclusive games for the Switch 2.
@TheExile285 Yakuza 0 was made after Yakuza 5, so the writing of the series had matured a lot at that point.
Yakuza 0 has a great pacing, a good use of plot twists, less tropey writing, it's better at organically connecting subplots and moving the story fordward, Kiryu and Majima have actual character development, It's great at making every character interesting and properly giving them timet to shine(you can easily notice a downgrade in characterization for every returning character in Yakuza 1), and due to it being conceived as a prequel to YK1, a lot of the characters "introduced" in Yakuza 0 have important roles and further development in the next game (Yakuza 1), unlike in other entries where most characters introduced in a entry either die in the same game or just disappear from the story in the next one; the story was made with a clear direction in mind, unlike other games where the writers were just throwing ideas and seeing what stick.
@ButterySmooth30FPS This is a cross-gen title, and it's still going to be more expensive on switch 2. The panic for $80 games made people forgot that $70 for a game was supposed to be an exception for Nintendo games only 2 years ago, but now it's the base price for Nintendo titles. Game freak is definitely going to charge 80 buck for switch 2 exclusive Pokemon games.
It's surprising that they keep releasing these games considering the bad reception of the first 2 remakes. I guess the money that Nintendo paid for the temporal exclusivity is keeping the project afloat.

Re: Hollow Knight Has Now Sold Almost 15 Million Copies
Does this make Hollow Knight the best selling metroidvania of all time?
Re: Tales Of Xillia Remastered Coming This October, Confirmed 30fps For Switch
They expect us to believe a Switch can't run a PS3 game at 60fps? .-. The worst part, the game skipped PS4 while getting a Switch port -_-
Re: UK Charts: And Just Like That, Mario Kart World Is Back In The Lead
Those are abysmal sales for the Switch 2 versions of Cyberpunk and Hogwarts Legacy. How is Howgwarts Legacy selling better on the OG switch? .-.
Re: Shin'en Announces 'The Touryst: Deluxe', Exclusive To Switch 2
I doubt many people will double dip for this one...

@VoidPunk Better combat? I don't find the part that says they changed the combat.
Re: Random: Oh Jeez, Now Palworld Has Its Own Rip-Off On The Switch eShop
The funny part is that Nintendo approved having this on their eShop XD

I hope it's not Illumination's Donkey Kong, what a mediocre take on the character.

@Dimjimmer Asían users aren't getting an upgrade, they will just receive a discount if they own the OG one.

Could the Switch 2 even run it? It's not a game that was released on PS4.

Re: Beat 'Em Up Classic Double Dragon Gets A Modern Revival On Switch This October
I don't get the complaints about the graphics, it looks fine and it's a $35 game, and most important, the game looks fun.
I've also seen people glazing Double Dragon: Neon, and that one doesn't look better.

Wtf? Are they counting the upgrade packs in those sales? Because what other first party game did Nintendo release? .-.

Re: Japanese Charts: Switch 2 Crushes PS2 To Become Fastest-Selling Console Ever
Does the Mario kart sale figures include the copies included with the console? Because it wouldn't make sense that many people bought the game.
Also, very suprising that the software sales for the switch 2 are so low overall, people basically only bought mario kart.
Re: Forget The PS4, Koei Tecmo Reckons Switch 2 Is Closer To Xbox Series S
It's closer to PS4 pro, everything else is copium; unless the Series S is really that trash.
Re: Switch 2 Is Nintendo's Biggest UK Console Launch Of All Time
Suprisingly low debut for the Switch 2 considering that the PS5 and Xbox Series experienced shortages at launch.

@Teksette You right, Yakuza 0 is the best jumping-on point for the series.
Re: Review: Yakuza 0: Director's Cut (Switch 2) - A Series Highlight That's Never Looked Or Played Better
@deadmaker Considering they are charging more for the game now, I doubt they are going to offer the new content as an update.

@deadmaker They will most likely just delist the original.

Yakuza 0 is such a masterpiece, sadly Yakuza 1 to 5 are kinda trash story-wise.
