It's funny to see people expecting Silksong in the direct when the release date is most likely going to be announced in a Xbox event because it's a day-1 game pass title.
I personally want to see announcements of new games for this year.
@link3710 WTF? I think you got some of those numbers wrong, FF 7 remake has sold 7 millions while Monster hunter world has sold the monstrous amount of 25 millions of copies.
@Dm9982 "Also see other countries ratings on it…. None of the rest have done this."
The other countries doesn't have that kind of policies to protect children from gambling, so they don't have problems with games aiming at kids having Poker.
@RavenDuroi Well, that would be cool actually. Gamefreak should start to be more transparent and sell their games as what they are, unpolished early access games.
Some people may be mad at them, but it's pretty understandable that they haven't released a new Banjo game, they just don't have an appropiate studio to make a new entry.
Modern Rare isn't suitable for the task, Double Fine said they aren't interested in the ip, and Playtonic hasn't proved they are able to make a good 3D platformer. Toy for Bobs is the last hope for the ip, but I don't know if they would be interested, after all, they are the Crash/Spyro studio right now.
Let's hope Baldur's gate 3 win the goty in the game awards, I think the studio deserves it more. It's like when Messi won best player over Mbappe, Messi deserved it more for stopping being a "pecho frio" and finally winning the World Cup.
@WhiteUmbrella I've sunk thousands of hours in Free to play games without spending money on them, in some of them you can even pay the battle pass once and then pay the next one with the rewards of the season.
Free to play games are healthier experiences than a lot of full-priced games.
I think even Sonic fans are going to eventually hate this one, this sounds like a less polished Sonic colors, which a big chunk of the community started to hate eventually.
Anyways, the writing was on the wall when the studio making this game was revealed.
@Axecon The AAA model of bigger and more expensive games is what is causing stagnation of creativity, not companies buying other companies. Also, Microsoft netflix-like model can actually bring a little bit more creativity to the industry.
@Woderwick 10 years is more than enough for the other companies to prepare a response to the things that Microsoft own, their competition also accepted Microsoft offer because they are also being benefited in the long run.
Also, Microsoft never said the Bethesda games would remain multiplatform, they always used the word "case-by-case".

Re: Japanese Charts: New Japan-Only Visual Novel Takes The Crown From Princess Peach
It looks like princess Peach will struggle to reach the 150k copies sold in japan, maybe it's doing better on the west.
Re: Nintendo Indie World Showcase April 2024 - Every Announcement, Game Reveal & Trailer
It was kinda obvious that Silkong wasn't going to be in the direct, considering they have a gamepass day-1 deal.
Re: Cosy Crafting Sim 'Sticky Business' Opens Up Shop On Switch Today
Mnmnmn...I don't know how to feel about an indie game having day-1 dlcs...
Re: SteamWorld Heist Is Getting A Surprise Sequel On Switch This Summer
Pretty boring direct for me, I wanted games with more action and maybe violence.
Re: Nintendo Indie World Showcase Announced For Tomorrow, April 17th 2024
@Nontendo_4DS
Partner showcase = Third party games
Indie world showcase = Indie games

Re: Switch eShop Sale Knocks Up To 80% Off Select 'Metroidvanias'
Rainworld is a great experience, but I wouldn't call it a metroidvania, it's more a 2D survival sandbox.
ASTILBRA revision was in my wishlist, thou I thought it was a 2D jrpg or something.
Re: Japanese Charts: Princess Peach: Showtime Rules Over The Competition
@Dr_Lugae I don't think it'll do crazy numbers in the long term sales, mostly because the switch 2 will most likely drop new year.
Re: Japanese Charts: Princess Peach: Showtime Rules Over The Competition
@WhyYouLie Nah, Switch exclusives are expected to sell 150-300k first week in japan. The other games in the top aren't doing that well either.
Re: Japanese Charts: Princess Peach: Showtime Rules Over The Competition
@JohnnyMind I'll guess people prefer to buy the expansion digitally instead of buying what I assume it's the base game + The expansion for full price.
Re: Japanese Charts: Princess Peach: Showtime Rules Over The Competition
those are some very low figures for a Nintendo exclusive...

Re: Balatro Removed From European Nintendo eShops Due To Ratings Switch
Sometimes I forget that future Dragon quest games will be Pegi +18.
But I don't get it, aren't +18 games alowed on the eShop anyways?

Re: Random: Some Rare Fans Are Upset About The Latest Switch Online Announcement
@HeadPirate I thought Rare replay was impossible to port because most of those games are running through backward compatibility.

Re: Five More Classic Rareware Games Come To Nintendo Switch Online Today
Awww, man. When I saw Rare logo I thought Microsoft was going to announce Rare replay for Switch.
Re: Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble Is Rolling Exclusively Onto Switch Later This Year
I can't believe Nintendo was able to paid for the temporal exclusivity of the game but didn't pay for the exclusivity of SMT V.
I'm also surprised Sega agreed, they haven't signed exclusivity deals in years. Maybe they expect it to underperform.

It would be a great opportunity to port the games to every modern platform.
Re: Zelda: TOTK And Mario Wonder Land GOTY Nominations At The Game Awards 2023
So...did people completely forget about Armored core? I've barely seen anyone talking about that game not being nominated XD
Re: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Wins Nintendo GOTY At Golden Joystick Awards 2023
@graviton But Zelda Totk is more of an evolution of Zelda BOTW .-.

Re: Japanese Charts: Super Mario Bros. Wonder Absolutely Smashes Its Debut
Damn, that's an awful debut for Sonic Superstars. It truly was a awful idea to release the game so close to Mario. The difference is pornographic!
Re: Review: Sonic Superstars - A Fine, Authentic-Feeling Return That Runs Great On Switch
@Bratwurst35 I also took the story into consideration, I think those games are a good 3D Sonic experience overall.
Also, Sonic Colors is not really that 3D.
Re: Review: Sonic Superstars - A Fine, Authentic-Feeling Return That Runs Great On Switch
Well, It looks like Mario won again, to no one surprise...
But shout-out to Arzest, this is their first game that is actually fine.

@msvt Sonic Mania for 2D, Sonic adventure 2 or Unleashed for 3D
