Re: Talking Point: Would $499 Be Too Much For 'Switch 2'?

dkxcalibur

Nintendo always keeps their systems lower in comparison to the competition. If it's portable like the Switch, I think it will be in the $300-$400 range. Nintendo will know that families will want to own multiple systems if it's portable, and most families won't shell out $500+ pure system 2-4 times.

But like everyone else, this is pure speculation.

Re: Random: Man Sets World Record By Connecting 400+ Working Game Consoles To One TV

Maybe it's silly to have a World Record for something like this but I'll be the first to post that I'm extremely jealous of his setup. I wish I had a space dedicated to gaming, and the funds to make this happen. Sure you can't play more than one game at a time, but it's really cool. He's got a great collection and he has the right to be proud of his collection. Good for him!

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (22nd June)

dkxcalibur

I was gifted a eshop card for Father's Day, I finally pulled the trigger on Dave the Diver. I was going to get one of the many solid games that were on sale but after trying the demo of Dave the Diver, I couldn't stop thinking about it so I bought it at full price.

I'm also still playing sessions of Vampire Survivor.

Re: Poll: Is $60 Too Much For Nintendo's Switch Re-Releases?

dkxcalibur

I think it depends on the game and/or treatment. For a game that has very little done to improve the graphics or gameplay from the original, the games should be around $20-$30. For games that have a substantial amount of work done to them, I'm okay with the $40-$50 price range. But no matter what's been done, I feel the $60 range is too much.

Re: Talking Point: Would You Want To Reuse Your Joy-Con On 'Switch 2'?

dkxcalibur

Personally, I'm ready to completely move on from the current joycon design. It was a great idea that was ahead of it's time but not fully thought out. The flexibility and options were incredible but the problems.....just too many issues. Let's move forward. At the same time, is it hard for Nintendo to allow for those who want to continue to use them? Unless the new controller is waaaaay different, I would think this would be easy to do.

Re: Soapbox: Where The Heck Is Fallout 3 On Switch?

dkxcalibur

Fallout 3 is my favorite game. It's one of only a few games that I played through entirely multiple times.

It's also one of the few games that I purchased a deluxe edition. By total luck, I stumbled on the game when shopping at a Circuit City that was going out of business. I'm looking at my Vault Boy Bobble Head right now! The lunch box has been used for my MTG decks since the day I got it. I would double dip on this game and it would be a day one purchase as long as it wasn't bug-ridden like some other games that have been re-released on the Switch.

Re: Nightdive Is Remastering One Of The Most Insane FPS Games From The '90s

@sfb I too had the 3DO with Star Control II......until my sister borrowed it to take to college. I never saw the system or any of the games again.

I was the only person I knew who had the system and when friends came over, they had no clue what it was. I had a good library of what I would call fun games. Samurai Shodown, Gex, Alone in the Dark, Space Hulk, FIFA, Dragon's Lair, The Horde, Crash N Burn, Guardian War, The Incredible Machine!

Re: Players Are Having Major Issues With MLB The Show 24 On Switch

dkxcalibur

I was actually thinking about buying this year's game. It's been years since I've bought a sports game in general. I usually buy one then I take a break from the series for years. I have the itch to buy Madden and MLB. I guess I'll at least wait until the bugs have been worked out.

I highly doubt this is planned sabotaging. This is merely a game that has been rushed out the door and onto the Switch. They clearly prioritized their own platform; but I doubt they were like, "hey lets sell a broken game on the Switch".
