Re: Talking Point: What Classic Sega Franchises Do You Want To See Rebooted?

dkxcalibur

I was a huge fan of VF4 on the PS2. I thought it was a very unique 3D fighting experience. I know there's been one since that....I think; but it would be cool to see that series make a full comeback.

Also, I would love a modern Sega Rally.

For my third I picked other. Why is Shining Force not included??? I don't even understand how this mistake happened on this site.

Re: Talking Point: What Are The Worst Parts Of Your Favourite Games?

dkxcalibur

Fallout 3 is one of my favorite games but the first time I played it, there was a glitch that prevented me from entering the Temple of the Union and being able to interact with Hannibal. I had to finish the game, then start a brand new game in order to experience that part of the game.

I love Mario 64 but the terrible camera makes it almost unplayable for me these days.

Re: Video: Batman Arkham Trilogy Side-By-Side Graphics Comparison

dkxcalibur

I have only played Asylum on the 360. I never tried the other 2 because there was just way too many games back then calling my name. Recently I thought about picking this or the Metal Gear Collection up because I missed out. Most of the time when I buy a collection, I end up playing 1 maybe 2 of the many games loaded in the collection....then I just move on. So I'm not sure it's worth it for me.

Re: Video: Where Does Mario Kart Go From Here?

dkxcalibur

I love the series so much but outside of making it Nintendo Kart and opening it up to other Nintendo characters and tracks based in those worlds, I'm not sure what else they could do. They've kind of did or tried everything. Water, sky, anti-gravity, partners; I'm really not sure what can be introduced. Are graphical upgrades enough? Open world? Do they try to do something like Forza Horizon? Do they move further away from the formula and do more of a racing sim with Nintendo characters? Do they introduce RPG elements? It's Nintendo so I doubt there's a possibility of a Twisted Metal style car combat game.

I trust Nintendo and as I already stated, I love Mario Kart. I patiently await the next game in whatever form that comes. In the meantime, I'll continue to play MK8.

@UltimateInkling I wouldn't say that I don't enjoy them. It's that I feel they are not close to the same quality so that I would rather play the Mario series. I guess it's sort of like the summer blockbuster movies that are fun to watch once, but you'll probably not watch them a second time. It's that kind of thing for me. Sonic was enjoyable for a day or two. Crash about the same.

Re: Nintendo Confirms New Smash Bros. Ultimate Switch OLED Bundle For Black Friday

dkxcalibur

This one I don't quite understand. I think it's a great deal for anyone who doesn't own Smash and is also looking to buy a Switch; but my guess is that most people looking to get into the Switch at this point, is a casual gamer (not always! but in general). My bet is that the Mario games would sell better then Smash. If I were Nintendo, I would do a combo of Nintendo Switch Sports and Mario Kart and watch this thing print money. But that's just me. I would target casual people who don't own the Switch at this point in it's lifetime, not Smash.

Re: Sega's Executive Director Wants Sonic Games And Movies To "Surpass Mario"

dkxcalibur

There's nothing wrong with having goals. However, all I get from the statement above is that they want to copy everything Nintendo has ever done to make Mario successful. The problem is that no one is entitled to greatness. It takes hard work and sacrifices. It takes the mentality of ensuring quality and not willing to take short cuts that may endanger the quality of the final product. I don't think Sega has it in them....yet. Maybe. But I wouldn't bet on them.

Re: Sega's First Super Game Making Steady Progress, Still Targeting 2026 Release

dkxcalibur

wow! SUPER GAME! So vague and so far off into the future. 3+ years for a game we know absolutely nothing about. I feel this is kind of silly to even mention at this point. At least when someone like Disney/Marvel announce a movie 3+ years away, we at least get the title or subject, or sometimes even a teaser. Sega gave us nothing but promises and a basic title. The title alone reminds me of when a child names a family pet....like, it's a hamster and they call it Hammy.

Re: Every American Football Game On Nintendo Switch

dkxcalibur

I've been craving a Madden game but sadly stupid EA doesn't see any money in bringing an NFL game to the Switch here in NA. Total missed opportunity.

Off the subject, the NFL signed exclusively with EA which shut down the very promising 2K NFL games. The contract runs our in 2025, but could go an extra year!

Re: Talking Point: Would You Buy A Digital-Only 'Switch 2'?

dkxcalibur

I would go with a digital only system, but only if the system was cheaper then one that included cartridge play. I tend to go digital these days anyways.

I'm not a collector. I typically don't revisit games once I'm done with them. For me, it's an easy decision. The only thing I wish they had, was a family download or something. We tend to have 3 copies of a ton of games because we play against or with each other.

Re: Review: EA Sports FC 24 - The Best Football Game On Any Nintendo System, Finally

dkxcalibur

I've always been a once every 5-8 years kind of person when it comes to all sports games. I love sports! Any and all! But for some reason sport video games get redundant to me. It also gets really silly spending the money each year for updated rosters.

I purchased FIFA and MLB not too long ago, but it might just be time to buy EA Sports FC. I'm waaaay overdue on a Madden game, but unfortunately that's not an option on Switch anyways.
