I think the announcement will be post '24 Holiday season. My speculation is that Nintendo will push the Switch one last time with the help of a game or two, then the next system will be released the following early fall '25 (September 2025ish).

If I were Nintendo, I would discount the Switch this Christmas and/or push bundles. They won't.

Personally, I'm ready to completely move on from the current joycon design. It was a great idea that was ahead of it's time but not fully thought out. The flexibility and options were incredible but the problems.....just too many issues. Let's move forward. At the same time, is it hard for Nintendo to allow for those who want to continue to use them? Unless the new controller is waaaaay different, I would think this would be easy to do.

I know nothing about this game. I'm judging it purely on visuals alone. This is not for me.

If it plays well, I think I want this game. Looks very unique gameplay and story with a cool art style.

This may be a dumb question, but is there a story in this game or is it just brainless dungeon crawling?

Fallout 3 is my favorite game. It's one of only a few games that I played through entirely multiple times.

It's also one of the few games that I purchased a deluxe edition. By total luck, I stumbled on the game when shopping at a Circuit City that was going out of business. I'm looking at my Vault Boy Bobble Head right now! The lunch box has been used for my MTG decks since the day I got it. I would double dip on this game and it would be a day one purchase as long as it wasn't bug-ridden like some other games that have been re-released on the Switch.

I'm interested in Stitch. That's basically it at the moment.

Anyone know if the Ebenezer game was fixed? I know the review called out bugs. It looks really cool. If the bugs were fixed and the gameplay issues have been addressed, I would be interested.

@sfb I too had the 3DO with Star Control II......until my sister borrowed it to take to college. I never saw the system or any of the games again.

I was the only person I knew who had the system and when friends came over, they had no clue what it was. I had a good library of what I would call fun games. Samurai Shodown, Gex, Alone in the Dark, Space Hulk, FIFA, Dragon's Lair, The Horde, Crash N Burn, Guardian War, The Incredible Machine!

There were some awesome iso racers back in the 80's. I'm interested. It will depend on how well the physics and controls work.

Anyone else getting Star Control 2 vibes? Looks good but I would need that English to warrant the purchase.

For me it's really not a bad value, but I'm paying $79.99 a year for the family package and my family members and myself, aren't really using the features enough to warrant the yearly cost.

I thought they felt aged when they originally came out to be honest. When I saw this was coming, I had no desire to revisit the two games even though I owned both and spent many hours playing them.

I was actually thinking about buying this year's game. It's been years since I've bought a sports game in general. I usually buy one then I take a break from the series for years. I have the itch to buy Madden and MLB. I guess I'll at least wait until the bugs have been worked out.

I highly doubt this is planned sabotaging. This is merely a game that has been rushed out the door and onto the Switch. They clearly prioritized their own platform; but I doubt they were like, "hey lets sell a broken game on the Switch".

This one is a hard skip for me. I can't justify the purchase of a full priced game that provides between 5-10 hours of game play. Even on sale at $39.99; which is about as low a price as Nintendo gets, I still can't!

Maybe I'll end of trying this somewhere down the line but that's even a stretch.

I keep hearing about restocks but I never see them in the wild. Are these restocks only for specific stores?

@batmanbud2 It's not necessarily which is the best game, it's about influence and impact on the industry. I think most gamers would agree that Super Metroid is far superior to the original NES Metroid game, but the original launched the series and a genre.

I always enjoyed the basic simple story of Super Mario Sunshine. I wouldn't mind seeing that come to life.

They could easily do a story about a haunted mansion and the boos.

I can live without Wario and Walugi. I would prefer to see Bowser Jr. or even better, The Koopalings.

I don't care as long as the quality is where it needs to be. If it's a direct sequel and its as good or better than the first, I'm all for it. If its something new and well done, I'm all for it.

If there's problems with frame rates being distractions, then how did this warrant an 8/10 review score?

The icons have become old and tiresome to me. Even the process of collecting them feels like a chore. The icons themselves are shown so small that they often look like blobs IMO. I would rather Nintendo bring back Miiverse and the achievement-like stickers found on the Wii U. If it were up to me, I would do achievements and reward the gamers with stickers that can be used on the home screen, bio, or in messaging.

I can tell you what board game to video game isn't good....Pandemic. That is a fun board game, but the video game version is rubbish! I love the board game so much that I picked up the video game to play when I can't together with family and friends to play it. It's terrible.

Club House Games is a fantastic collection. It's worth the purchase.

I've had my eyes on Wingspan and Dicey Dungeon....and now Balatro.

@Aurumonado YES PLEASE!!!!! I owned Star Control 2 for the 3DO until my sister "borrowed" it and it vanished. I still scratch my head why this series has basically been abandoned.

I know people are going bunkers for Spyro and Crash, but in my opinion, Star Control is their best work. I'm assuming that both Spyro and Crash are still owned by Microsoft....not sure about Star Control.

I picked up VS at the perfect time it turns out. I downloaded it in January and have been grinding ever since. During this time, I picked up all three DLCs on sale. I think I spent around $10 for everything (maybe slightly more). It's perfect for quick sessions. Sometimes I'll start a run and if I run out of time I just return to the home menu and put the switch to sleep and jump back in later.

I just got home from a vacation in the UK, it was perfect on the flights and on my 2 hour train ride.

This is my favorite game I've purchased in the last 12 months.

I thought it was done as far as Update and DLC goes....but here we go!

This is the first I've heard of this game, but it's now on my radar for sure. At $15 price point, it's very compelling.

Legos are cool. I enjoy building the sets. But what do you do with them next? I'm not displaying them.

Also, I believe both Nintendo and Lego is about 2-4 years late on this one.

I also feel the Animal Crossing sets are better than the extra large Mario figure sets.

Forget the file size! I'm questioning if I want this or not for completely different reasons.

1. Is there still an online presence for these games?

2. Will I enjoy this game still or has it aged poorly?

Vampire Survivor is legit awesome! I can't put it down and I've been playing since December. At the same time, I can't explain why. It's really a simple game....you don't even push a button!

At $4.99, it's a steal though. Heck, even with all the DLC its cheaper than most games.

I strongly recommend it even if for a weekend of play.

What a gem! This is a 10/10 in my opinion. I prefer it to Wonder on the Switch but at the same time, they really are different. Wonder was significantly easier....up until that very last secret level that I eventually gave up on. DKC TF was uniformly harder but I always thought it was fair, and with enough trial, every level and collectible was in reach. DKC TF has some of the best music in a video game EVER. The graphical style is awesome. Level design is perfect. I was excited to see Metroid was back in Retro's hands; but at the same time I was disappointed because I knew that would mean nothing from the DKC series.

This is a missed opportunity for sure. Nintendo could easily do a Tetris 99 or Mario 35 style game with the Remix series.

Okay, so the release of Superstars close to Wonder, definitely would have an effect. But ultimately Sega is blind to the bigger picture. The games aren't in the same league! To price it as highly as it did, they should have done a better job if they intended on cutting into Wonder's sales. Let's be honest, not every gamer can afford to buy every single game. There is real competition for our money! Sega needs to do better!

I'll most likely pass on this. I'm not sure I'm investing in another Switch controller. I'm going to cross my fingers and hope my third pair of joycons last me until the next Nintendo system; and I have my pro controller and 8bitdo 6 button.

If I were buying one, I think the junkyard one is cool. Second choices would be the clear.

Looks cool. There was definitely some cheesy cringe worthy parts like the ESPN Ocho part, but I'll still check it out.

Never really watched the show but I'm keeping my eyes on this game. It looks amazing. Hopefully the game plays as good as it looks.

@Ryu_Niiyama ......not really talking about "firing" an employee. I'm referring to laying off employees primarily as a way of cutting cost. I also understand that it's not practical to never layoff employment. I just feel that it's done more casually these days with little thought process of how it effects a person. The amount of wasted resources and funding that big corporations have every single day is crazy. Yet, it's easy to just layoff someone. We don't want to dip into the CEO's yearly bonus!

@Ryu_Niiyama I don't know. I think layoffs should be avoided at all cost; kind of like parenthesis inside parenthesis.

So here's what I have a problem with. I did a very quick search on Google and found that Sega had a great 2023. They had their highest Net Profit in 13 years! That board room made enough! But hey let's insure that line of profits keep coming in and axe 61 people. Now I could be wrong. My search results could be a lie. But if that's true, and it probably is, shame on Sega.

I'm sure this park will be awesome. I'm also sure that there will be huge lines for everything.

The Florida parks (Disney/Universal/Seaworld) are all great. You really get a chance to see what we as humans are capable of creating.....but you also get to see the worst of people too. The prices have really climbed and yet the crowds are still crazy. I'm sure I'll get here eventually, I'm just not in a rush like many others.

I picked up the Metal Gear Solid collection in December since I completely skipped over this series when if first came out back in the PS and PS2 days. I started with the first game and played it heavily during the week between Christmas and New Year. Then I discovered Vampire Survivor and haven't touched it since. I'm at Psycho Mantis. Prior to pausing from playing it, I was enjoying despite it feeling a bit aged.

I also agree with yaboiEan, Arkham Asylum should be included for sure. I never played City so I can't vouch for that one.

Although, these joy cons do look incredible! If they were normal price, if I needed a replacement pair, then I would be buying these.

By total luck, I just got into the series two weeks ago without knowing that more DLC was on the way. I've been playing the game every chance I have. It's simple yet very addictive and I love that one play is about 30 minutes. I have since picked up the first 2 DLCs because they were on sale. Then when I went to play last night, I saw the game updated and that there was new DLC. I was pumped. Then I saw what it was. I'm not sure I'm interested in the new DLC based off of the Among Us series. It seems like a weird collaboration. BUT...the price of the game is less then a frozen pizza and the other DLCs were about the price of a candy bar....so how do you argue with that?

This will be on the next gen system.

I'm not seeing the appeal of this one personally. Hopefully it turns out great.
