Hey everyone, off the subject a bit; but I have a question.

Do I need to play all the games in this series in order or can I jump in at any point? I wasn't how deep the pikmin lore is.

I have never played any of the game.

I think I may revisit Arkham and I've never played a Pikmin game. P4 might be where I jump on board. The Mario game is a must-buy for my family but I prefer the 3D Mario games.

The only thing I would bet on is the next wave from Mario Kart. Other then that, I have no clue. Typically I like speculating but this time around, I'm not even trying. Here's to surprises!

I really love StarFox64. Probably one of my favorite games on the N64, and one that still plays great today. It would be awesome to see what a modern "traditional style" starfox would look like and play like on the Switch. I'm not opposed to seeing what a Starfox racing game would be like though. The characters are so good that it's a crying shame that they're not around more.

What about a Starfox RPG in the style of Star Control 2?

So, Fall Guys + Mario Kart? I'll take a deeper look once more details get released.

Maybe I'm missing something, but if this series is this popular, with lots of people re-buiying these games, why hasn't there been a new game developed????

I'm interested. I hope the ideas work and the gameplay lives up to the ambition.

@KingdomTears Okay, I definitely see what you're talking about now. I was just looking at the pictures in this article and they looked fine.....until I clicked on them! I'm not sure if that's a Nintendolife issue or a Nitro Deck issue?

The comment above about the images looking like they were made with Paint is silly.

I'll hold off on judgment until these have been fully reviewed. The promises are intriguing but in my experience, the third party controllers rarely live up to the promises they make. I'm hoping they turn out great.

I love Capcom, I'll be happy with whatever they announce, I'm just hoping for games on the Switch though.

I'll stay calm and not get too excited until I see more details about the "added mode" and the price.

I don't understand the hatred for this. If I had a PS5, I would be interested in this for sure. I loved my Wii U. I love my Switch. Being able to to play off TV is a huge benefit in my house.

I will agree that it seems like they copied Nintendo, but isn't this how things work these days in every industry?

I will also agree that it seems like a product that will have a minimum impact or small audience.

I've always been more of a Street Fighter II fan, but every once a while it's cool to give Mortal Kombat a go.

I wasn't totally against Overwatch 2 like a lot of others. I love the original Overwatch and I was willing to give Blizzard a chance to prove that Overwatch 2 could work as a free to play game.

However, I can say with all certainty that I have basically moved on completely from the series. I don't think it's fun anymore and I'm completely disappointed that they're walking away from a this mode after years of work and promises.

@Giancarlothomaz I agree! You said it first, for the record.

I understand this if you're buying something that's high in demand and hard to find; like a system on day one. I don't understand waiting in line for this game for 72 hours. I think everyone who wants this game will be able to find it. Plus there's always digital!

@jump Are you being serious? I could be wrong, but I believe the Mario figure is meant to be faded so that parents/consumers aren't confused by the fact that Mario is not included in the set.

Personally I think it looks terrible. I have no desire to play this.

@Pres_Shinra Good find with the article. Like I said, earlier, I don't really know how mergers work. I'm a sceptic by nature so that's why I found what you were saying earlier hard to believe; but I stand corrected.

@fenlix I have a concern that this ultimately does more harm then helps the consumer. Like you pointed out, government agencies never move quickly. What if this drags out another year? It creates delays in games. Doesn't that hurt the consumers as much as the merger will supposedly hinder creativity? Plus there's still lots of other game developers out there. It's not like they've purchased them all. It would be different if once cell phone service provider owned all the cell phone service companies. That one company would control prices and stifle competition completely.

@Pres_Shinra Maybe. We're still talking about one American company buying another American company, and a British agency trying to block it. I'm pretty sure the US has major beef with Huawei but I'm sure that company has completed mergers. I'm just saying that if all it takes in one country being upset or concerned to block a merger....even in another country, I doubt any mergers would take place.

I think your second example isn't the same though. A country forcing a company to abide by a standard or specific demand, like a charger, really isn't remotely the same as one company buying another company from the same country; and governing branch from a separate country trying to block it.

@Pres_Shinra So if that logic is true, couldn't one country just block other county's businesses just to cause problems?

I apologize in advance if this is a dumb question; but aren't both these companies American? How does the UK have a say in this? I really don't know anything about mergers and who has the final say.

As for the this merger, I can't see how this is any worst then other recent mergers that have gone unchecked.

Both are terrible IMO.

I love the games. If this would have released when they originally said it would release, then I would have bought it immediately.

Instead, they chose to hold off for a dumb reason, then release it in between Fire Emblem and Zelda. I don't have time to play one of those games, I definitely don't have time for all three.

I think the top 8-10 are all great games. I will argue that Sonic Spinball needs to be higher. It's an awesome game!

Personally, I needed this game to release in it's original release window. Now, there's too many lengthy games either already released or coming out; and this got bumped to the back.

.....but I love love loved the GBA games!

Duffy wasn't even in the Epcot stores when I was there last year.

@BrianJL Technically I don't think he's the mascot of Epcot....but he definitely features on a lot of merch.

Figment is from a ride at Epcot called Journey Into Imagination. Figment is awesome, but his ride is one of the most outdated rides at a Disney Park......but it's got "character" and there's never a line. You could get on, get off, then get right back on if you really wanted to.

Soooo many memories. I always loved watching E3 coverage and every year I couldn't wait for the trailers and reveals.

I'm not buying either. I think the pro is one of the worst designs Nintendo has done, out of all the special editions.

The OLED is cool looking but I'm not in the market for a new Switch. I can't justify the minimal upgrade.

Anyone else finally ready for this to be done? I get it, I loved the 3DS and many of the games. I have fond memories. But I can't wait until this date comes and goes so I don't have to see another article about this ever again!

Sasquatch goes by many different names in many different regions. It has a cool ride at Animal Kingdom in Disney World. But my gut instinct is that most stories are fake.

I personally don't like how EA ripped off Switch owners that were fans of their game for years. I also don't buy FIFA. However, it's not a terrible game. If you like soccer/football and you only have access to a Switch, then this isn't a bad game. Enjoy your free preview! I don't think a free preview hurts anyone.

IMO, the Wii U and 3DS are the same game! Just one is mobile and one is not. I guess the Wii U gets the tiebreaker because of better controls layout.

@jump Yeah, sometimes we say it like this "March 10, 2023" then since we're low on the word count, we just throw in total nonsense to catch back up. For example, I've started adding proper or not proper, or brilliant to every sentence.
