Well, Reggie's not wrong. From what I've played VR is little more than a tech demo which causes eye strain. VR has been around for awhile now and no one has been able to create that killer app.

Then your estimates are off Reggie. Way off. That means your bean counters need to do some more research on consumer demand ASAP.

The most exciting news out of E3 was the new DLC content for SSB. Obviously the announcement was spoiled ahead of time but having it released during E3 sure drummed up excitement.

I don't consider any of the people on that panel in a position to make an informed evaluation of what Nintendo has accomplished. Its almost like they're suggestions are a guide of what NOT to do in order to be successful.

The Digital Event had some interesting announcements but not the level of energy we got from the competition or even Nintendo's 2014 video. Need to hype it better next year Nintendo.

There are a lot of arcade games out there which I wish had console releases. Given that the technology to reproduce the experience is more or less standard now it should be cost effective enough for companies like Sega to make the ports.

I was already sold on Runbow from trying one of it's early builds but now I'm getting a 15% discount just for downloading the demo? Winning! =)

OK Nintendo, you've had plenty of lead time to make Wave 6(?) Amiibos so supply had better not be an issue from here on out. At the very least there had better be a boat load of Ryu Amiibos for worldwide consumption.

Its tricky trying to do Ryu's old school combos from SFII with the modified SSB controls. Haven't been able to do any 2-in-1's so maybe better off just using the Special B attacks.

I was unable to get into the eShop earlier today but a couple of hours later and everything was fine. Not a huge issue.

Definitely getting all characters and maybe the Inkling costumes. You know, whenever the eShop lobby clears out. =)

Funny, I thought one of ZS Samus' alt costumes made her look like Sarah Bryant. Now they've made Jacky as a Mii too.

The FGC has some of the biggest problems related to sexism and stereotyping too but what I love about it is that at the end of the day skill trumps trash talk. The winner is the undisputed champ no matter what race or gender they are because it is an earned victory as opposed to something given to you.

The FE figs bundled with Codename: STEAM is a pretty sweet deal. Totally wish Nintendo had done this in NA.

If players really want a female protagonist so bad then just make a game where Zelda is playable (you know, the namesake of the game).

Despite it's bare bones initial launch Splatoon is definitely my pick for GOTY so far. It is undeniably fun, and this coming from someone who doesn't typically enjoy shooters.

Still waiting for the NA release date. Can't be far off from the August window though.

Just saw the Splatoon advert: which game was that? I've been playing Splatoon since the first Test fire and there have never been any night time levels, dance parties, or cool animated cut scenes. Hopefully this is all content which will be released over time. The night time battles with all the neon colours would be awesome, maybe even include some black light effects.

Since I can't figure out how they'll fit the Splatoon online modes into a tournament format I'm guessing they'll be using the Battle Dojo which is significantly less exciting.

I have faith that the Amiibo situation will be sorted out eventually but likely not anytime soon. Remember how hard it was to get a Wii at launch? Nintendo went through not one but two holiday seasons unable to provide sufficient supply to meet demand. They played it safe and will probably continue to do so to avoid excess stock.

Wicked Wario Bros. - Nintendo, make it a reality. =)

For my money the only games I consider canon are the original Metroid, Metroid 2: The Return of Samus, Super Metroid, and Metroid Fusion. It would be nice if they came out with a new game to continue the saga but I'm not sure where the story would lead.

Probably to announce the winner of the new character fan polls. Looking forward to it.

I only buy the Amiibos who's functionality I can use on more than one game. The Fire Emblem figs in particular are a huge slap in the face since they arguably provide the most in-game benefits and are all among he most rare. When FE If comes out there had better be some kind of FE combo pack like Splatoon had.

Great for online, not so much in-store. EB Games/Gamestop has always had laughable Amiibo stock at store level so going to them without a pre-order is a waste of your time. If you're going to hit a retail outlet TRU is the best bet because they have significantly larger stock and organize their line queues better.

The Boy & Girl challenges are annoying. The Squid ones are at least a nice change of pace from the normal single player.

I'm pleased with the lack of voice chat in random Regular battles but would appreciate them implementing something for friend only battles down the road.

More Splatoon makes me happy. =)

There are still plenty of players who are in the low single digits so more time is definitely needed to build up a community of 'experienced' players. Not everyone has time to play around the clock.

Looks interesting, but I'm very hesitant about the free-to-play model.

So sad that the FE characters have the most functionality of any Amiibo and yet their the all amongst the most rare. At this point it might even by a good idea to release an FE combo pack similar to the Splatoon 3-pack. Common Nintendo, get your act together and sort out this production problem!

I thought I'd enjoy the single player more but its really just a distraction between PvP matches. The Amiibo challenges are especially taxing since they're just replays of the single player campaign with added achievements.

I've got no complaints about online though and really appreciate not having to listen to someone barking orders or obscenities.

Just came back from TRU this morning. Stock for Lucina & Robin was 6 each. Boo-urns Nintendo.

On the plus side everything else seemed to be in decent stock. I'm sure most of it will get sold out by lunch but its significantly better than in the past.

Personally I like the "1%" slogan the best. The actual poster could have used more characters in it though.

Just got back from my TRU this morning. I was there at 7am when the mall opened and the stores didn't open until 10am. I was #18 in line. There were only 6 each of Lucina & Robin. >

I give Itagaki way more leeway for his creativity and charisma but he still needs to deliver an awesome game. DOA Volleyball was such a let down in the gameplay department.

F-Zero GX/AX was by far the most intense racing game I've ever played. The sense of speed was just so overwhelming particularly when you were in the AX motion simulator. If they do make another sequel I hope they involve Sega again.

Its not like no one saw these problems coming. For gamers, in particular those who are collectors, digital is a bane. Exclusively digital distribution is essentially just a convenience for disposable media.

Codename STEAM is awesome but like most strategy games (including Chess) it will forever go unappreciated by the masses. Too much learning involved.

Undoubtedly this is a case of high demand and ridiculously low stock. Its like Nintendo has chosen to ignore the supply problem completely.

Lovin' it so far. The timing of Stretchmo's release is perfect as I'm just finishing up the final puzzles in Pushmo.

There was a Nintendo rep demoing Battle Dojo at my local Best Buy today and I got to try out the local multiplayer. BD is basically just like regular deathmatching with the opportunity to score even more points by popping balloons. Online Turf War during the Testfire was way more entertaining.

@Radbot42 Ditto. Crowdfunding is full of too many broken promises for me to ever trust the system. I don't care how many honest projects get made, there are too many deceivers out there and no way to tell them apart.

Can't make it this time because of other more important commitments but at least I got to try out the first round. May 29th is going to be one crazy Nintenday.
