Over the weekend there was a Japanese Nintendo Direct that unveiled some exciting details, all of which is summarised right here. Nintendo of America has now release a neat 'Nintendo Direct Micro' with localised details on some of these reveals.
Examples include Dr. Mario: Miracle Cure, which gives us the local details without any need for translations, and more besides.
The presentation is 17 minutes long and is below. Check it out and let us know what you think.

Bravely Second
Hopefully Nintendo Europe is uploading theirs now.
A wild Nintendo Direct appears!
... it's super effective!
NoE confirmed Bravely Second on Twitter. Woohoo!
I know it is so wrong, but I am really waiting for the Mario & Sonic at the summer olympics
edit: But I hate the exclusive events... I wanted golf AND rugby. This is stupid, now I am angry
Very excited for both Chimiibo and Bravely Second. I hope revealing those now means they have plenty for E3.
Wiiiiiii Huuuuuuuu!
Yah
Ah, no live feed. I need my live feed. And hype. Didn't they hype up the 3 minute E3 2 days in advance? We can't get an hours notice for this 1?
Oh well, watching it now, less complaining more fun.
Wait, did they just drop Chibi Robo into "Sayonara Umihara Kawase"? I really should have watched the japanese Direct by now.
when is LBX release in Europe! LBX had already teased in inazuma eleven go chrono stone game in European version of the game so why is it not announced in Europe yet?
UPDATE:
it did announced for Europe as well now, thank goodness for that
Really excited to try out the full Art Academy package.
They have 360 degrees panoramic photos for inspiration, but will they let you paint panoramic paintings as well? I hope so!
I never really liked Bill Trinen, but now I have to say he's really grown on me.
And I like his Flit voice. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xds_aQ-s0yc
@Peach64 is it true the first one basically "resets" halfway through and you have to do everything all over again? I keep hearing its a wonderful FF without the BS but at the same time I hear people complain about the 2nd half of the game...I want to like/have it, but I don't want to buy another game I won't finish.
@Pod I am also =)
That was pretty enjoyable. I just want it to be E3!
@rjejr
You ninja'd me with that thought. Although Kawase looks way harder and deeper than this.
oooooh yeah, new map and gun AND ranked battle tonight! see, now that's awesome
Splat👀n!
Whoo, micro nintendo direct !
Excited for all of it!
I wonder if Chibirobo will be one of the smash DLC characters...
@AyeHaley Think of it as a 30 hour, fantastic Pokemon (its a Final Fantasy, but stick with me!) where you spend 30 hours battling, growing, learning your characters back stories, loving them, finding silly outfits, then its time to FINISH THIS.
You go to the Elite Four, but oh no! The doors won't open. Well, maybe if you go back to the first gym, and refight everyone. I mean you can't teleport, but you have your bike and an airship, so okay whatever. Ride through 30 mins of random battles, back to the gym. Rebeat every gym, takes you like 2 hours. All the switches and such are down, the secret passages open, but the enemies are back, too.
So you rebeat every boss, reacquire every badge, and...the ELite 4 door still won't open. So...try again? At this point even the games characters are yelling WHY WONT IT END and ARE WE GOING TO BE STUCK DOING THIS FOREVER?
12 hours later, you finally find the correct thing to do, because PLOT TWIST.
So that's Bravely Default. 30-40 hours of balls amazing RPG, 5-12 hours (Depending on if you want every sub-boss and the unique weapons that spawn) of endlessly doing the same crap over and over and over over and over and over over and over and over over and over and over over and over and over over and over and over again until the plot progresses.
NO NO NO!!! THAT SECRET GAME FOR NWC '15 lol
Hang on a sec! Hang on a sec!
Did Nintendo just confirm some kind of Zelda game will be playable as part of the Nintendo World Championships 2015?!
First—check out what he says: https://youtu.be/-5kXsTAUEHw?t=644
Then check out this: https://www.google.co.uk/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=Nintendo+meme+%22It's+a+secret+to+everybody%22
This could be sweeet!!!
Unless it's literally just the original Zelda. lol
But I thought Bill was fired! (Thank god he wasn't!)
@sinalefa - "Kawase"
I will play that game some day. I just will. They had me from day 1 at giant walking goldfish. And I really like the name. Well the Japanese name, I don't like any of the transtations.
Might have to get the olympic game for soccer, volleyball and rugby. My kids don't know what rugby is but I bet it's fun in there.
@rjejr
Yeah, Bill Trinen looked like he felt comfortable doing this for the first time ever, honestly. Not only that, the cheesy miniature thing was actually pretty amusing. Editing seems a bit tighter than past Directs, too.
@Kirk That was my interpretation.
More Splatoon makes me happy. =)
This was a nice little surprise. Glad to see the 3DS is still getting some love.
@aaronsullivan Yeah, Nintendo might have pulled a fast one, when it said we won't get to see Zelda Wii U at E3, and we'll actually get to see people playing the new Zelda game as part of the tournament. That would be pretty cool!
I won't get my hopes up though because it might just be one of the older Zelda game, which wouldn't be particularly newsworthy lol
@rjejr
I feel my duty to warn you, game is HARD. But gameplay is unlike anything you have played before. No wonder it is part of my "hard but unique" trinity which also comprises W101 and Scram Kitty.
And Trinen was actually fun and likeable here. Not sure if you have noticed, but they kinda bully him. The robot at E3 stuff, the firing and now how this Direct ended. It seems being the butt of the joke suits him.
I never thought I see the day where we get a side scrolling Chibi Robo game before a new Metroid sidescroller.
@Kirk That would be great, though, right? Like they debuted SMB 3 in The Wizard? Would be a nice piece of marketing if they pulled it off.
@sinalefa - "game is HARD"
No easy mode? I know a lot of people say W101 was hard but really I never had any problem w/ it. And Uncharted 1 was way too hard, but playable on easy. U2 was fine on normal. But if it's just hard w/ no recourse guess I'll have to skip it. Thanks for the warning.
@aaronsullivan Exactly.
Although I was kinda secretly hoping they were going to debut an all new AAA Mario game as part of the NWC2015 to really send the hype and excitement through the roof, and really tie it in properly with the original NWC.
I'll totally settle for some decent footage of the new Zelda though
@rjejr
There are a couple of characters who let you use mid stage checkpoints. I think that's it.
Game also uses a branching system where many levels are hidden, so there are like 5 routes towards the ending. Boss fights are sometimes cryptic and everything kills you in one hit. So there is that.
I hope one day in the future, Puzzle and Dragons: Super mario bros. edition is a seperate game you can buy on the eshop. Like kirby fighters was in Kirby triple deluxe and you can buy that game separately.
@Kirk Wow, That sounds accurate based on the links you gave us. That's very clever Nintendo
I know there's little to go on, but Project Treasure has my interest, especially if it supports local coop. It seems like a long time since we've had a multiplayer dungeon crawler for a Nintendo console. (I try to forget the awful Alien Syndrome.)
@AyeHaley
Yup, it's true...
Actually, you play the first half of the game 3 times, I believe...
I hated it and refused to finish playing.
I traded in the game.
Am I tho only one who is excited for Dr. Mario?
an update for Attack on Titan Humanity in Chains Europe release would have been nice too, in the name of Atlus of course lol.
Look at Bill just FLAUNTING that Rosalina amiibo...
Nice, glad to hear new Splatoon content is out as soon as tonight. Will definitely be online later today.
@AyeHaley Multiple times actually. There is an in game reason for it but it is still annoying.
@bro2dragons That was the first thing I noticed on his desk. "Oh look, he got a Rosalina..."
@PatHawks While unexpected, Dr Mario Miracle Cure does look good and it's coming soon, next Thursday and could be a budget title ($14.99).
@Nico07 $11.29 in Canada, just pre-purchased. so probably $10.99 or possibly even $9.99 stateside.
welp I'll have to tell my mom about Dr Mario.
I guess the Olympic games is the only way I get a new Strikers... sigh
@rjejr He is so much more likable than Reggie IMO
Really good Nintendo Direct. Very happy to hear Chibi Robo coming to the US as well as the Dr. Mario eShop game. LBX also looks interesting.
It's nice to hear official confirmation that Bravely Second is coming over next year. Now I just need a release date for Fatal Frame V and Xenoblade Chronicles X at E3.
@Nico07 @daveh30 $8.99 in the US e-Shop
Yay, Splatoon DLC!
If they announced this games already, they are saving space for the E3 Direct. Man, what will we see then?
(Hopefully Metroid, guys, oh please...)
@Kirk
Or it's a tease of Zelda maker
@PatHawks Cheaper than I expected too comparing it to Dr Luigi pricing on Wii U. Looking forward to it!
C'mon NoE, don't let us down now! We need this too!
Chibi Robo actually looks fun. Aside from that, the only game that interests me is Super Mystery Dungeon.
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, Bravely Second, and new Puzzles and Dragons content! My little heart can't take it! I'm glad the new Pokemon game is coming out this year and during the holidays too. I know what I'm asking for Christmas now lol.
.......
''It's a secret to everybody''
Heheh. Pretty clever.
Great direct packed full with information. Most of it was towards the 3DS which was a nice change of pace from the past couple directs. I'm excited to jump on Splatoon tonight!
Awesome I love ti
@sinalefa - "and everything kills you in one hit."
Well I'm out. I just told the boys a few days ago I don't play games w/ 1 hit kills. It's why I've laways liked the 3D Marios better than the 2D Marios. Super Mario Sunshine, my first Mario game, had 5 or 6 hits. Some of the platforming sections were tricky and you could always fall off dieing, but bad guys, not even bosses, ever killed me. And SMG had 3, usually 6 when things got tough. That's more my speed, I don't want to be severely penalized for not having childlike reflexes, b/c I don't.
@Kirk ''A game contestants should prepare for'' I think that indicates a game that has already been released. I think it's the original Zelda, but we'll see. As since it's going to be part of the Championships it seems, I doubt it'll be Zelda U or any other new Zelda game.
Any news for European Splatoon players on the update? Surely it has to be simultaneous worldwide, no? I mean, an update to a mainly online game...
@rjejr
I thought so. In fact now that you mention Galaxy, the only reason the very last star in 2 was so hard to get was that you could not take a single hit. Something like Champion's Road in 3D World allows you to take hits, thus making it harder because of the level design, not a one hit kill limitation.
Dang, no word yet on if the animal crossing 3ds coming westward or not.
That was lame, except for Chibi Robo
Aww man!
And, I thought for sure that this was going to be about a 3DS Micro handheld.
It looks like they didn't kill Bill after all. Yay for that!
3DS Micro should be a real thing. Yeah I said it.
What's 7PM Pacific in Central time?
I browsed through the video exclusively in hopes of a Wooly World release date in North America. No luck
Really looking forward to Bravely Second and LBX, I love Level 5!
@AyeHaley The second half does drag a bit, but you can turn off random battles and be done with it quicker. The side quests on that part also don't add a lot.
I particularly liked the whole game and was not bored by any part of it because I did turned off randol battles and I liked to strategize on the side quests, but I understand people who didn't.
Wake me up when the new 3DS is announced for America.
I'm a bit interested in Chibi-Robo and Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympics but Dr. Mario: Miracle Cure is going to be the main game for me. I hope the price will be from $8-$10 so I can play it for the five days before E3.
@Shambo It's a worldwide update.
@rjejr
... So I wasn't the only person who remembers that show?
The E3 guns are gonna be big.
They must really be loaded up for E3 if they're having a direct with multiple reveals like this. I think this is smart as these are lesser titles that would otherwise be overlooked.
Also Zelda Williams seems to be obviously be the contestant they teased.
@MrGuinea
" Happy Home Designer" was already announced along with Amiibo cards.
Bill Trennan seemed MUCH more relaxed this Direct- almost to the point of being extremely likable. I think it's apparent he's taken some classes on appearing on camera and addressing an audience. And kudos to him- it paid off.
@Kevlar44 I don't think the Chibi Robo game would've been overlooked, the true pain of collecting amiibo would be enough to remind people that the game exists.
Art Academy was the most interesting thing about this presentation, which is to say that I was overall underwhelmed. That's okay, though. It was a Micro one, so no biggie.
The new Chibi-Robo looks vaguely interesting, though only so much that it's a new gameplay style. The amiibo has me more interested than the game itself.
@ryanator008 - It's the only season of PR I ever liked out of the 10 or so I've seen. Best theme song by far.
@Kevlar44
Sorry I meant if the limited edition animal crossing new 3ds LL was coming over.
