@Browt Pokemon Compnay doesn't like Pokemon. Lazy releases like this tell me that much. We're all sitting here wishing they would care enough about it to spend more than like 2 days to make a worthwile re-release

@somnambulance I think it would be, this is a kinda disappointing release that they should have done more on, but also this game is still amazing and fun.

It boggles my mind that they didn't do even the most basic tiny remaster. LIke literally all you had to do was make a widescreen version. Gamefreak is the absolute laziest pokemon dev.

@HandHeld3fectAce I mean, technically, this should sell far worse. 20 million switch 2s out there vs 150 million switch 1s. Granted some people will definitely upgrade for this I would think still it will sell worse but i'm very very happy they committed rather than doing some janky switch 2 version that's basically the same thing.

Yeah idk what the heck is going on with this lol. Like I kinda sorta enjoy the insanity of it, and the box looks awesome. However, if they released an awsome mini gameboy with pokemon loaded on it, it would have been so much more hype.

This is just... odd....

@LuigiDude96 I hope graphically it holds up. Legends: Z-A looks good at some points, like the pokemon look great, but most other parts of the world are just graphically bad.

I'm not sure I would have played it myself, but with all the slop live service clones out there, this one sorta looked like it had a bit more of a unique identity/evolution to it, so that's sad it flopped.

@Rice Yeah pacing was the biggest issue. So so so many times it felt like somoene said "okay they need to walk 30 feet over there, how can we drag that out another 30-60 minutes" And sometimes it was in the least ineresting way possible.

The only really okay upside would have been if there was a cool physical realease which, a special edition of would absolutely sell out lol like why????

FYI in NA it's $40 for digital on amazon and $40 for digital and physical at gamestop

maybe some people like that? But isn't the most like lauded after thing in games the stealth mode section? Then this game says "what if that's the ENTIRE game"

The trailer was like "hey there are dinosaurs and you basically can't do anything about it!"

@Ironcore Yeah it's kinda odd. I reember being SOOOOO excited for Gold/Silver, I had beaten blue like 30 times. I remember getting it though and never beating it though, idk what happened. I know they're not like bad games or failures either.

I feel like the EU version is definitely the worst

Would have been a cool celebration of the style if they did all of the hd-2d games, Missing other octopath games, live a live, dragon quest 3 and maybe a couple others i'm forgetting.

@stephenstig Yeah I have zero interest. We already have Fire Emblem Warriors, why don't they branch out to something else instead of making the same dang thing. Why not release zelda tennis, and fire emblem tennis while we're at it.

It would be fund if they would make more of an event out of it. A half hour is a quick show, why not do some treehouse live or something showing some of the games off or something. Make it an hour

I was on the fence but this level of lazyness is kinda pushing me away from buying. Like I get you don't want to do physical things anymore but wow this is bottom of the barrel. I guess that's how pokemon is now.

Man I have to give it to Japan, it's a cool design and I like the hint to VR. The NA one is more fun though

I think we just need to realize that seeing someone's head exploding is a lot more damaging and censorable than the top 10% of an areola.

Also side note this is a hilariously stupid situation where they will show peoples heads getting blown off in like vivid detail but literally a scene where a tiny part of an areola was hanging out of a dress there is this gigantic black bar the size of someone's head. Stupid priorities.

@RickStar that would make more sense if some of the censorship wasn’t the laziest black bar. Like it looks awful. It’s fine because it’s not often but when it comes on it looks like they hired a YouTuber to edit it or something

I’m confused, at the top it looks like you say the base game is on sale for 60% off then at the bottom you mention again it’s on sale but say 50% off

@Galaxy2IsTheGOAT IDK i kinda thought I might be wrong, but I looked at screenshots of the game and none of them are that light of a pastel, they are much darker like the NA one from my view.

Man Japan is fun, but the NA one is just better imo. It gives a little more of what the game is to you and also it matches the color palette of the actual game. I'm not sure why the Japan version is way more pastel.

If I had never heard of the game before I would assume the NA version is a platformer but the Japan version I would think could be anything

Yeah i can't believe it isn't on switch already. Darkside Detective was pretty fun but this is definitely more ambitious.

IMO Fallout 3 and New Vegas gameplay aged far far better than Oblivion. So I would love to see those.

@progx Yeah i'm fairly sure it was for that reason, just like...... it's animal crossing who cares? Like splatoon makes a little sense because it's competitive or maybe pokemon (though that one is stupid too)

Honestly what it comes down to is every single other system and pc game has save backups for everything so i'm not sure why nintendo feels like they somehow can't secure it.

i'm mostly angry at them because my island is gone now.....why did they have to do backups of the island in such a complicated manner

@HalBailman is argue lite is more needed this time around. Switch 2 is much larger and kids still got tiny hands

Honestly the NA/EU one is a bit more fun, but my biggest gripe is the awful square gamecube logo at the top right of the Japan one.

give me a dang S2 edition, but i'd pay for a new dlc also

i'm glad their doing a non-pokemon game but i'm so confused why it's like an M rated looking souls-like game. idk like do something different, but not like what literally everyone else is also doing.
