The controls and the decor pikmin was cool i guess, but like you just had to add a bunch that nobody asked for and ignore the things all the switch 2 owners did ask for.
i kinda defended them as maybe a way for smaller devs to do physical easier but now it's unacceptable. Literally like the largest francise in the world
Feels kinda like it in the switch generation main games. DS/3DS era games weren't amazing but they had their own style and were trying some new things. Once we got to the Wii area, we started really getting shoveled some crappy games. The switch made it more apparent though as the quality and performance of games was just so far behind all other Nintendo games.
why can't they just have a meeting and be like "we're going to make a complete product" like I know the game is fun, just why though do they keep making such incomplete and lazy designs when I imagine putting another few million dollars in development would net them more sales and more good will.
Atleast a grunt. It's insane to me that these games still sell like hotcakes when it seems like plenty parts of it are so dang lazy or not invested into. I mean it's working so I guess I can only fault them so much.
I just can't believe they we don't have more switch 2 upgrades, or Nintendo talking about a way to natively improve it better like a handheld mode that simulates switch 1 docked or something.
I remember they worded it as like "free to start" or something, and hoped it was like a normal game that you could play so long then would be required to guy eventually. Sad to see it's just slop. idk why Nintendo lets themselves take these reputation hits.
Bowser seems kinda lame. We had Reggie who got us wii sports packed into the wii and made such a big impact. Then we have Bowser who couldn't even get the switch 2 manual packed in with the switch. Maybe Bowser did a bunch, but if his name wasn't Bowser I probably would have no idea who the president of noa was.
i'm excited for mario galaxy 2, and the new Yoshi game, but outside of that it was just like mostly things we already knew about, and far out release dates
aggrevating that there aren't more switch 2 ports. I mean we have a huge library which is great, it just irks me that we easily could have had more upgrades if Nintendo wanted to share dev kits.
Looks decent. Were the textures always that kinda muddy looking or is that a switch thing? Like the first 10 seconds, the walls look like a ps2 game lol
I haven't played for like over a year and I jumped back in, played the new intro level, then now i'm not really sure what i'm supposed to do. Need to look around some more.
I get the tightrope you walk, like it would be odd if you threw mario in a wheelchair but yeah easily could have done Miis, or just made other cute characters. Literally anything other than this pre-alpha looking design.
@Lemmy_the_Koopa haha yeah, today I'm announcing that i'll still go to work, despite that silksong is coming out. Thank you for your attention on this matter
@MattmanForever I can't say myself, but also, looking at the youtube comment section basically any comment on it is someone disagreeing and saying it looks like 30fps to them so IDK, i'm going to guess 30 from everything I see as well but i'm just some dumb guy on the internet.

Re: Pokémon Pokopia Is Seemingly Nintendo's First Game-Key Card Release
i kinda defended them as maybe a way for smaller devs to do physical easier but now it's unacceptable. Literally like the largest francise in the world
Re: Review: Double Dragon Revive (Switch) - Nice Ideas, Uneven Execution
yeah my first thought is the art direction is awful. It looks like it should be on the PSP
Re: Review: Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Imprisonment (Switch 2) - A Stunning Slice Of Musou, Worthy Of The Zelda Canon
I wish I was into this style of game.
Re: Talking Point: When Did 'Good Enough' Become Good Enough For Pokémon?
Feels kinda like it in the switch generation main games. DS/3DS era games weren't amazing but they had their own style and were trying some new things. Re: Review: Once Upon A Katamari (Switch) – A Roll-'Em-Up Revival Done Right
@TheBoilerman man it's so unlike anything else, just such a zen game
Re: Review: Once Upon A Katamari (Switch) – A Roll-'Em-Up Revival Done Right
My favorite, most repayable franchise. This was so unexpected and I'm so happy with how it turned out.
Re: Pokémon Legends: Z-A Sold 5.8 Million Copies Globally In Its First Week
@Shade_Koopa Yeah I mean low effort is subjective. Pokemon is the largest, so they get less leeway. Most indie devs put in more effort and love
Re: Pokémon Legends: Z-A Sold 5.8 Million Copies Globally In Its First Week
i hate that people won't hold them to a higher standard lol. I mean it's still fun i'm sure, it just irks me the low effort style they do
Re: Mini Review: Silver Bullet (Switch) - A Gothic Arcade Shooter Full Of Tricks
man i love a Halloween themed game
Re: Kirby Air Riders Direct #2: Every Announcement - How Would You Rate it?
IDK if it's my cup of tea exactly but the amount of love and detail put in are great. This is what we want, a passionately made game.
Re: Japanese Charts: Surprise, Surprise, Pokémon Legends: Z-A Leaves The Competition In The Dust
Xbox Series S......48 sales
Re: Opinion: Nintendo's Forgotten The Game With The Most 'Switch 2 Edition' Potential
it's just dumb they added a photo mode and Pikmin with hats lol why can't they spend 3 seconds and give a resolution bump on handheld
Re: Opinion: Pokémon Legends Z-A Is The Creepiest Entry Yet, Not In A Good Way
why can't they just have a meeting and be like "we're going to make a complete product" like I know the game is fun, just why though do they keep making such incomplete and lazy designs when I imagine putting another few million dollars in development would net them more sales and more good will.
Re: Surprise! Pikmin 4 Is Getting A Free Content Update On Switch Next Month
Dude just put in a damn resolution and fps upgrade how much easier would that have been
Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Pokémon Legends: Z-A?
Can they stop doing the bare minimum design work like they had to make the game on a shoestring budget
Re: Even Memes Are Getting The Metroidvania Treatment Now
I mean i dig the art style
Re: Poll: Is It About Time Game Freak Added Voice Acting To Pokémon?
Atleast a grunt. It's insane to me that these games still sell like hotcakes when it seems like plenty parts of it are so dang lazy or not invested into. I mean it's working so I guess I can only fault them so much.
Re: Nintendo Reportedly Increases Switch 2 Production To 25 Million Units For Year 1
@TheExile285 Yeah and honestly i'd pay for some, just wish they would actually do it!
Re: Nintendo Reportedly Increases Switch 2 Production To 25 Million Units For Year 1
I just can't believe they we don't have more switch 2 upgrades, or Nintendo talking about a way to natively improve it better like a handheld mode that simulates switch 1 docked or something.
Re: Review: BALL x PIT (Switch) - Ballsy, Beautifully Balanced, Mercilessly Addictive
@Gavintendo thanks, yeah I was wondering on that one
Re: Nintendo Download: 9th October (North America)
Might grab yooka, will probably definitely grab ball x pit
Re: Review: Fire Emblem Shadows (Mobile) - Flat F2P Folly With Simplistic Strategy & Social Deduction
I remember they worded it as like "free to start" or something, and hoped it was like a normal game that you could play so long then would be required to guy eventually. Sad to see it's just slop. idk why Nintendo lets themselves take these reputation hits.
Re: Brawler64 Pro Controller For Switch 2 Boasts Hall Effect Sticks And Magnetic Faceplates
Always loved the look of these.
Re: Feature: Who Is Devon Pritchard? - Meet The Next NOA President Stepping Into Bowser's Boots
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl - Operation C / Probotector (Game Boy)
NA one is definitely the best. No idea if it's the most accurate or not considering the vast difference with the EU version
Re: Round Up: Everything Announced For Super Mario's 40th Anniversary
i'm excited for mario galaxy 2, and the new Yoshi game, but outside of that it was just like mostly things we already knew about, and far out release dates
Re: Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2 Bundle Confirmed For Switch, Launching October
So i wonder, is the original galaxy improved at all since the other release or is it the same deal outside of a resolution bump.
Re: Dragon Quest VII Gets Reimagined For Switch And Switch 2 In Early 2026
that's a strong art style. I love hd2d but i'm glad we're still getting unique looking remakes outside of it.
Re: Round Up: Every "Exciting New Game" From The Acclaim Showcase
Man they all mostly look just kinda meh, like recreations of indie titles. There were a couple that had some interesting takes though so not all bad.
Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Direct September Predictions - What Do You Hope To See?
Atleast give me a PIkmin 4 switch 2 edition
Re: Poll: Three Months In, How Would You Rate Switch 2's Library So Far?
aggrevating that there aren't more switch 2 ports. I mean we have a huge library which is great, it just irks me that we easily could have had more upgrades if Nintendo wanted to share dev kits.
Re: "I Can't Afford To Give It Away For Free" - Silksong's Low Price Is Causing Devs To Re-Evaluate Their Own Games
It's an interesting conundrum. I'm unsure why they didn't do $30
Re: Review: Star Wars Outlaws (Switch 2) - An Underrated Adventure, A Super-Solid Port
very exciting!
Re: Video: We've Played Star Wars Outlaws On Switch 2 - Here's 16 Minutes Of Gameplay
Looks decent. Were the textures always that kinda muddy looking or is that a switch thing? Like the first 10 seconds, the walls look like a ps2 game lol
Re: Pac-Man World 2: Re-Pac Looks Waka Waka Wonderful In New Gameplay Trailer
Idk but the platforming looks stiff. Just looks like it didn't have much love.
Re: Review: Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion (Switch 2) - Decently Deep Mech Combat, But Clunky In Parts
@MasterGraveheart I'd say this could definitely be a 6, but the negatives are partially fixable and not really dealbreakers.
That said, the demo felt kinda switch1-ish but i didn't get too far. Screenshots in this look nice
Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give 'Kirby & The Forgotten Land + Star-Crossed World'?
I haven't played for like over a year and I jumped back in, played the new intro level, then now i'm not really sure what i'm supposed to do. Need to look around some more.
Re: Review: UFO 50 (Switch) - A Wondrous Smorgasbord Of Retro Delights
@Firegeek Yeah i mean i guess it is accurate lol
Re: Talking Point: Would Drag x Drive Be Better With Miis Or Non-Mouse Control Options?
I get the tightrope you walk, like it would be odd if you threw mario in a wheelchair but yeah easily could have done Miis, or just made other cute characters. Literally anything other than this pre-alpha looking design.
Re: Publisher Acclaim Is Set To Host Its Own Showcase Next Month
@OLD64FOREVER Yep that's the thing I want most. I'm glad switch as paradise, but I would want 3/Revenge
Re: "We Are Not Delaying" - Dark Deity 2 Dev Stands Firm Against Silksong
@Lemmy_the_Koopa haha yeah, today I'm announcing that i'll still go to work, despite that silksong is coming out. Thank you for your attention on this matter
Re: Anniversary: The First DS Castlevania Game Turns 20 Today
Man idk why they don't hire some small teams to make some great 2D castlevania games still. It feels like it could be done fairly cheap.
Re: Demonschool Gets Last-Minute Delay To Avoid Silksong
Man screw that, Demonschool looks way cooler. I wasn't a huge fan of the original Hollow Knight either.
However, maybe like a week or 2 after? But months? Jeesh
Re: Video: We've Played Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade On Switch 2
@Serpenterror did they confirm no physical release?
Re: Video: We've Played Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade On Switch 2
@MattmanForever I can't say myself, but also, looking at the youtube comment section basically any comment on it is someone disagreeing and saying it looks like 30fps to them so IDK, i'm going to guess 30 from everything I see as well but i'm just some dumb guy on the internet.
Re: Video: We've Played Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade On Switch 2
@MattmanForever oh I missed him saying 60fps in the video what the heck lol, well hopefully that's correct.
Re: Video: We've Played Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade On Switch 2
@JokerCK I mean it could be beta or they could be wrong, but literally in the article Felix claims in person it's 30fps.
Re: Video: We've Played Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade On Switch 2
sad it is only 30fps
Re: Review: Chibi-Robo (GameCube) - A Charming Game About An Altruistic Robot Or A Shambolic Scavenger Hunt?
my only sadness is it doesn't have a widescreen mode
