I just have no idea why you'd buy this unless you've played Mario kart tracks to death. Even then, there are a handful of other kart racers on the switch with IPs that kids know and like rather than random dinosaur people.

@Duncanballs lol it definitely does. To be fair thought I feel like we don't have many games that are like way far out of what they could do on gamecube. Nintendo graphical power has been pretty stuck there.

@CazSonOfCaz seemingly most people's opinion as well as mine is that it's much more pleasant to look at in most games though. Definitely all up to people's view

Not sure if i'm a huge fan of the direction they went. Looks pretty low quality random XBLA remake type. It was just a few tiny snippets though, so hopefully I'm wrong.

Maybe the presentation is just that good but the value doesn't really seem there. Yeah 13 games but turtles in time is repeated, and tournament fighters is repeated. I'd think it should be $30 max. It's cool, just like doesn't seem like $40 is a good value.

I feel like THQ Nordic and Team 17 are pretty big names

idk why but i just hate that art style. Makes it look like a cheap flash game, or mobile free to play crapware.

@Pres_Shinra I'd say the leaks are lame, but not sure why it would really be a con. It's easy enough to avoid and just like a part of announcements. Half of them turn out to be fake anyway.

It saddens me that we don't get big in person events anymore. I tell my self that atleast the directs are pretty well done and usually have some excitement. Now you're talking about taking that away from me too???

@Ironcore I don't see how it really compares to email. A letter went from taking days to send, to less than a second to send, easier to organize, easier to search, easier to store.

What part of crypto really revolutionizes anything that much? Sending money across borders is easier and quicker sure (though for your average person, this doesn't matter at all), but that's about the only thing I can possibly think of that is anywhere comparable.

I've researched the topic. I've invested in crypto, I've read a book or two on the topic. I think when you get the point of claiming it's going to be the new profound next step you really have to have something to back that up though because all research I've done doesn't really point there when you leave the small area of the cryptosphere.

@Ironcore i'm not really sure if that will be the case of not. Seems like if you have an NFT being used in the background in most cases, it's just the same thing as what we have now if you're talking about tickets or something.

That's the crux of the problem with web3 to me really. It's taking everything we do and somehow it sounds like it's all worse, all tied to money or tokens or more complicated ways of doing things under the guise of like unbanking people or decentralizing things that don't always need that.

What incentive do companies have outside of trying to maybe seem like they're keeping up with the times, or something.

@Ironcore The more I got into crypto the more I was skeptical of it. It's so easy to have money in some project and think "WOW THIS SHOULD BE THE NEXT BIG THING" but once you don't have money in it, and you think a bit more clearly you realize that 99.9% of projects are creating a solution that nobody needs.

That's not to say that at least bitcoin and ethereum are interesting projects with some applications. Just like almost everything else is solving some non-existant problem or trying to carbon copy those two and claim they're better.

@Lizuka Technically they aren't coming up blank on ideas. They have A TON of really really stupid ideas to complicate everyone's lives for every mundane activity in order to somehow tie making money to it.

Playing the demo, it plays wayyyyy better than I expected, being that it was a snes title. I assumed they changed a bunch but looks like this is a pretty direct translation. Definitely a shame it was never released worldwide before.

Yeah screw this developer. I remembered I bought it on android a while back and went to check it out again. Yeah well apparently it got pulled from the play store a few years ago, the dev said they would work on a fix and never did. Just abandoned it and took your money.

As much as there is some charm missing, I'm super impressed. I expected some 1-minute trailer, but damn they remade like every level. Very very cool. I'd love a remake with usable camera control.

Yeah definitely not a fan of EMMI either. Made me stop playing. Didn't expect a survival horror. I get the appeal it just ain't for me.

@Warioware Yeah honestly with some work I don't see why not. It would certainly cost some money and time but just based off system requirements. Witcher 3 i7 3rd gen, gtx 770. KH3 i5 3rd gen, Gtx 760.

I atleast can't fault them on maybe not wanting to spend the money but I do hate when people just assume "switch can't run it"

@Astral-Grain yeah i think it all comes down to how much work the developers are willing to do to get it working. We've seen really good looking games like witcher, dying light, and hellblade (most of which I think have higher min requirements on PC than dark souls 3).

Alot is possible. I hate when people say "SWITCH CAN'T RUN IT" it's been proved wrong time and time again, just depends on the sacrifices and work needed.

@sanderev I'd agree, but also I'd strongly argue that if the switch never came around these companies wouldn't be making these devices. It definitely started a trend. It's a very similar form factor compared to a switch oled.

Man I bought this split pad pro and It was kinda more comfortable however, it made my switch so damn wide and awkward feeling. Went back to the joycons and they felt way better.
