Really nice to have this cleared up, since I did find it confusing (as he pointed out) that there's plenty of producers involved with the project's direction, and plenty of directors involved in the marketing / budget.

Did anyone think of telling the Biomorph devs that there's other colors than grey, grey-brown and pale blue? The game should be my cup of tea, but it looks like a depressed cartoon.

Also kinda baffling to see a Sands of Time trailer that shows off less than the last one. It's okay not to announce a game 2 years in advance, Ubi.

Ending on a positive note: Pumped for more Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown content, such a great game that deserves better sales. Basically everyone clamouring for more Silksong should just pick it up.

The rogue PoP game looks cool too! Pretty weird to go from no-PoP for like 14 years to 3 PoP in development at the same time, but I'm not complaining. It was probably my favourite semi-dead franchise.

I have no idea where the 2500 pieces went, it looks way more like 1500-2000. Maybe it’s the sheer amount of unique bricks per version?

Both Olli Olli World and Rollerdrome are fantastic, straight up 9/10 games IMO. Wonder if they underperformed..

I'm playing through this on Steam Deck OLED right now and it's awesome, gorgeous and super charming.

I've always liked this franchise a lot more than its spiritual successor, Assassin's Creed so I'm glad it's back (... for now, seems it sold pretty poortly).

Anyway, Sands of Time's my personal favourite.

From the moment they announced they were reusing the map I was worried it'd lose the sense of exploration, and even though TOTK surprised me in many other ways, the lost sense of exploration means BOTW is the easy choice for me.

Based on Famitsu's review pedigree this could mean the game is either fantastic, awful or mediocre.

Picked this up on launch day full-price to support the devs (and because I want more games like this), but Ubisoft's really shooting themselves in the foot with this ridiculous sales behaviour.

Anyway, fantastic game, well worth the $30.

I'm having a pretty good time with Wonder but it's proven to me that no matter how much they mix up the formula, add new power-ups/badges, update the visuals — I much prefer 3D Mario games. So I'd prefer 90% 3D games with the occasional 2D one.

For a new 2D game I'd like them to take the badge levels all the way — give us entire worlds based on new movesets like the horizontal vine grapple hook, the high-jump and the crazy creature transformations introduced in Wonder.

That's great! Love these games. Now praying for more Cadence content / a sequel

Absolutely loving Prince of Persia The Lost Crown, after considering waiting on a sale (because Ubisoft), but caved in the end because I wanted to support the devs and have more games like this. Not seeing it on any of the bestseller lists though…

Loved this back in the day, but definitely curious if it holds up for me because I've become less patient with games, I hate slow starts and a ton of dialogue. Also, grinding. It's probably why I haven't played a "proper" RPG in years.

@Thumbsofsteel Start up the "sign up" process and then cancel it, it lets you play anyway. Really stupid, I know.

It's sad that many people are waiting for a deep discount, but giving Ubisoft's track record I can't really blame them. They're really shooting themselves in the foot with that. I'm considering picking this up full-price just to send a signal I want more of these smaller-scale AA games. Plus PoP is my favourite dormant franchise.

So generally if I want to know how a movie project turns out, I look at what the director has done in the past (as well as producers, sometimes). The director's mostly worked on mediocre stuff, so I'm cautiously pessimistic. Avi Arad's produced some great stuff, a lot of mediocre stuff.

Like many, I would've preferred animation. Ghibli, Laika or (somehow) Pixar would've been dream names.

The director and producer don't give me huge confidence. Sounds like it'll be mediocre, like the Mario movie.

My 2 favourite tracks are Dino Dino Jungle and DK Mountain. Pretty happy at least 1 got in.

Curious how the difficulty is compared to the first game. It was insanely hard on "normal" (screw up once in the final lap and forget about finishing in the top 3), and way too easy on easy.

Still making my way through TOTK and while it's an excellent game, just can't beat that first-time feeling.

I beat this one 8 years ago and felt it held up, great little Zelda clone. That was a great era for Ubisoft, with this and Sands of Time

Hadn't heard of Symphonia yet, that looks great! Bad name though, googling I only get results for the Tales Of game

I'll buy it when it's on sale. Very bummed they didn't add gyro gun aiming, hoping for (but not counting on) a patch.

IMO one of the best open-world games of all time, that I've been meaning to replay but couldn't on either handheld (Deck or Switch), so I'm happy to pick it up... when it's on a 50%+ sale.

But I'm sure some people will pay full-price for this, and that's why it's launching for this much.

Anyone else find this one more fun than RDR2? I take fun arcade-y action over slow cinematic any day of the week.

If there was a game drought I'd have picked it up but I'm swamped so I'll wait for a discount. I'm a little worried it won't have enough variation due to the lack of combat.

Tinykin, Cadence of Hyrule, New Super Lucky's Tale and Yoku's Island Express all have demos that convinced me to pick up the full game. I was also on the fence with Pikmin 4 but I loved the demo.

I've played the demo for this on Steam Deck and it was really good.

Probably the closest to Super Mario 3D World that I've seen a developer get*: lots of obstacle, enemy and visual variety every level. Impressive that an indie team managed it. If the game's as good as the demo suggests I'll definitely get it.

*I haven't played Sackboy yet, heard that gets close as well

I loved the simplicity, but hated how limited it was. I ended up learning Unity instead. I applaud the creators in this article for they've managed to make with such a limited toolset.

I'm curious how many people here complaining about the performance bought the game anyway. I was going to pick it up when they fix it, but it seems that will be "never". Regardless, a really bad look for Nintendo IMO.

I’m like 10 hours in so I’m not even close to being able to give it a grade. I really like it but I’m not as obsessed with it as BOTW at the time. That might very much still change. I love the new powers but the world still feels too similar, I can’t help but shake the feeling I’d rather have a full new world.

I played Bayonetta 1 and thought it was okay, pretty fun but never beat it. Gave Bayonetta 2 a shot: straight up masterpiece and the best action game I’ve ever played.

So when the reviews hit I bought it, given that it’s a more niche game and Platinum have earned my support after the terrific Okami, Viewtiful Joe, Bayonetta 2 and Astral Chain.

@FishyS for what it’s worth I never got into Monster Hunter but Bayonetta is waaay more accessible. I’d recommend Bayonetta 2 if you can find it discounted.

Check out the demo if you don't want to spend any money, it definitely convinced me.
