I basically bought the €60 game just for the single player, because I absolutely love the movement mechanics and style of the world. So happy we're getting 80 extra levels (for way less €). Hope they're as big as all the other missions, it would be a ton of content.

Fun fact: I played the entire single player without realising you could upgrade your weapons. Got stuck on the final boss, it felt a little unfair, then immediately (easily) beat him after upgrading the weapons haha.

@Not_Soos Oh man I would kill for a mission mode in Mario Kart 8. With boss battles and everything.

Thumper is top 15 switch games, easily.

It's pretty obvious this is the "best-selling" list with a couple of outliers. Makes sense, you can't vote for a game you haven't played.

IGN called this the best Kirby game yet. Guess they haven't played Canvas Curse (aka Power Paintbrush) and Epic Yarn?

Anyway, the game looks gorgeous but way too simple and easy.

I love both this and Jackbox Games and I feel like people are being a little unfair to it here. I'd actually say this game has more personality than Jackbox, and relies less on shouty / weird-voice humour and more on building an absurd Monty Python-esque world. Definitely feels more polished

The subtitle game is easily the best one in the bunch. Shame this doesn't have a demo, more people should try it out! 9/10 for me.

That being said, it does have a couple of technical issues — pausing the game using the Switch menu or people closing their browsers seem to seriously affect stability.

Bummer. I'm sure it's worth $60 but was hoping for cheaper. I'm more likely to pick up a bunch of other great 2D platformers first now — like Rayman Legends, Celeste, Steamworld Dig 2, Shovel Knight, maybe The End Is Nigh. Can't help but feel like Nintendo's shooting themselves in the foot a bit with this.

Considering Overcooked, Golf Story and Enter the Gungeon, but I've got 5 games on my Switch that I've barely played anyway.

As for new games, Crypt was on sale on Steam so I bought it for $3 knowing I can add/play my own music. I'll still probably pick it up for Switch, too.

I get that this is a retail-only list, but... why? Almost all the awesome stuff is happening on the Switch eshop. This way it reads more like an ad for you guys to get affiliate money through Amazon. Which is fine, just be more open about the point of the article?

I liked it, but it got a little stale towards the end. Hope Steamworld Dig 2 has some more variety, haven't played that yet.

Fantastic line-up.

100% sold on Hollow Knight, Crypt of the Necrodancer, Inside and Owlboy. Likely to pick up Dandara, Night in The Woods, Kentucky Route Zero and Fe, but honestly, there's a bunch on here that I didn't even know yet and look great too.
Plus the indie backlog from 2017.

At this point, I'm not even bothered by the lack of major third parties support. Screw 'em.

This looks exactly like my type of game, given that I adore Shadow of the Colossus and Ikaruga. And it just drips style and has some fantastic music.

Still no way to find out about Shovel Knight, Fast Racing RMX or any other fantastic indie games that dropped out of the top 15. C'mon, Nintendo, this needs to be fixed before the holidays.

Nintendo definitely needs to update eShop ASAP and make browsing it as intuitive as it is fast. An endless list of games launched chronologically and a top 15 is not nearly enough. There are no categories, no highlighted games. No easy way to tell which games are on sale.

Bit weird you guys wouldn't mention it's region locked and you wouldn't be able to play any games you buy in the store here. Seems likely an ignorant kid/casual gamer has seen this news post and has ordered one from the site without knowing any better.

Don't have one yet, want one, skimmed the article, still not sure. I definitely want one of the XLs (I pretty much only game at home and prefer big screens), but since I don't care about the 2 exclusive games for the New handhelds, and having heard mixed things about the c-stick (as well as no patch being available for games like Ocarina of Time or Super Mario 3D Land), and preferring matte finishes, I'm edging towards the original XL.

Anyway, if NX turns out to be handheld and/or backwards compatible with 3DS, this is pretty moot.

A meagre lineup, especially if you only own one of the 2 devices.

The game also has nearly unanimous positive reviews on Steam, if that helps anyone make their mind up.

I'm confused as to why all Mario RPGs now have to take place in the Mushroom Kingdom, featuring only Mushroom Kingdom characters, when the best part of all those Mario RPG's (especially Mario & Luigi) have been new characters (Fawful), surprising stories and amazing new worlds. Very odd.

The E3 thing is pretty surprising. I mean, I'm half still expecting something at a Direct around that time. But the delay seemed more inevitable than anything.

The Amiibo stuff looks more and more like in-app purchases, rather than ways to enhance a game...

A little weird that I got the HD upcoming Shantae through kickstarter for $15, but this one's $20, when there's a lot less costs involved...
