Re: Nintendo Download: 8th February (Europe)

Considering Overcooked, Golf Story and Enter the Gungeon, but I've got 5 games on my Switch that I've barely played anyway.

As for new games, Crypt was on sale on Steam so I bought it for $3 knowing I can add/play my own music. I'll still probably pick it up for Switch, too.

Fantastic line-up.

100% sold on Hollow Knight, Crypt of the Necrodancer, Inside and Owlboy. Likely to pick up Dandara, Night in The Woods, Kentucky Route Zero and Fe, but honestly, there's a bunch on here that I didn't even know yet and look great too.
Plus the indie backlog from 2017.

At this point, I'm not even bothered by the lack of major third parties support. Screw 'em.

Oxenfree is 75% off (€5 in EU store)! Picking that up for sure. I wonder if it sold poorly for it to drop so drastically.

No new games for me this week, but Celeste is releasing next week and that looks great and full of charm!

Might get Darkest Dungeon when it’s on sale, but currently playing Thumper and it’s scratching that difficult-game itch nicely. What a must-have title.

This looks exactly like my type of game, given that I adore Shadow of the Colossus and Ikaruga. And it just drips style and has some fantastic music.

Like the first 2 comments, I'm curious about the performance as well!

Re: Developers Discuss the Switch eShop 'Gold Rush'

Nintendo definitely needs to update eShop ASAP and make browsing it as intuitive as it is fast. An endless list of games launched chronologically and a top 15 is not nearly enough. There are no categories, no highlighted games. No easy way to tell which games are on sale.

Re: Guide: Which Nintendo 3DS or 2DS System Should I Buy?

Don't have one yet, want one, skimmed the article, still not sure. I definitely want one of the XLs (I pretty much only game at home and prefer big screens), but since I don't care about the 2 exclusive games for the New handhelds, and having heard mixed things about the c-stick (as well as no patch being available for games like Ocarina of Time or Super Mario 3D Land), and preferring matte finishes, I'm edging towards the original XL.

Anyway, if NX turns out to be handheld and/or backwards compatible with 3DS, this is pretty moot.

Re: Review: Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam Bros. (3DS)

I'm confused as to why all Mario RPGs now have to take place in the Mushroom Kingdom, featuring only Mushroom Kingdom characters, when the best part of all those Mario RPG's (especially Mario & Luigi) have been new characters (Fawful), surprising stories and amazing new worlds. Very odd.

Re: Talking Point: The Time Is Right For A Nintendo Phone

Ugh, no, please. Nintendo would make it's own OS, it would be way more closed off than Apple's and have way fewer apps. Nintendo's online stance is archaic and they don't have good ties with Western companies. Meaning the whole phone part would be useless, and I'd be cheaper off just getting a new handheld.

I'd rather see them integrate the handheld and console experience into one. You already see people claim "pick up a few 3DS games then!" when you complain about Wii U droughts, as if the Nintendo eco-system is 1 purchase. It should be: without 3rd party support they don't have enough games. Make a HD handheld that you can easily connect to your TV (wireless or HDMI) that comes with a controller (or works as cotroller) for TV play. Make the eShop super easy to publish on.

All your Nintendo gaming on one device that you can take anywhere, or play on a glorious HD screen.

Boom, you've just sold a WiiDS to me.

Just don't call it that, Nintendo ಠ_ಠ

The jumping off Epona and immediately turning around in mid-air looks a little silly... but the animation of the world is absolutely gorgeous. Especially the wild horses at the end.

That's an insanely huge map though, I hope they fill it up with things to do. If they only give themselves a year... I almost hope it's going to be postponed.

And hoping for some new items!
