Alternative take on this game: It's impressive, but 30 hours in, I'm not having fun with it.

It has fantastic lore, it's beautiful and the quest lines are amazingly written. But none of the actual gameplay feels satisfying to me, including the combat and the Witcher senses. The overworld is a bore to explore without markers. As someone grown up with Nintendo's gameplay-first mantra, the game's not working for me.

I am glad it's selling well, though. Bring everything to Switch. Plus new games.

Definitely get Thumper with 75% off! One of my favourite Switch games.

As for me, Cadence, Skyrim, Ni No Kuni, Gorogoa, Horizon Chase Turbo, Wandersong and Lego Harry Potter are all maybes.

Derpy Link is funny. Lots of people are so serious about their Link. Do you remember what he ends up looking like in the remake? Derpy Link is perfect for this game.

@Ralizah I'm so close to getting Fire Emblem as well. I've even got a voucher and a ton of time to play right now, but I'm making my way through my backlog.

Game looks fun, price is right... but I've heard of some performance issues on PS4 so I'll wait for reviews, as per usual.

@NinjaWaddleDee Hit the nail on its head, KISS are very popular in Japan, they definitely designed the pokemon after rock musicians. Sure, having a Ringo Starr-lookalike British pokemon would've been even cooler, but I'll take it.

Great games! If you like metroidvania and colourful games and you have somehow missed this, I highly recommend them. There's also a combat system that's quite a lot like Smash Bros which is surprisingly fun.

Definitely interested in this, we need more 3D action adventures on the Switch.

No one's mentioning Spirit Tracks yet, which IMO is easily better than Phantom Hourglass because it doesn't have the giant boring stealth dungeon you have to do over and over again.

Also: GTA Chinatown Wars is one of my favourite GTA games.

Oh, and I played Meteos so much it permanently marked my touch screen with vertical swipes.

I dig this Joys/Cons thing at the end, very nice if you want a summary but more than just a rating.

Probably just clearing some backlog for me, although like so many others I've got my eyes on Astral Chain. I don't do pre-orders though, I'll wait for reviews.

This game's really repetitive. I can't really recommend it despite the gorgeous graphics, Star Fox and space exploration.

A eulogy for the 3DS:
The 3DS is dead, long live the Switch. It's the passing of the torch and the 3DS can be proud of both its lineup and its sales. RIP double-screened little wonder that could. Thank you for all the Zelda titles.

The reviews on this are pretty middling (like 65%), but I'll take more 3D platformers anytime I can. Hope there's a resurgence of those as indie developers become more experienced and the tools become more advanced.

Good, it looks promising but there's a ton of polish left if the video is anything to go by. Animations are looking a little rough.

If the reviews for MUA3 are really, really good I might get it. But I don't think they will be.

Can anyone talk about what exactly makes this worse than the other Super Monkey Ball titles? Because I've always been interested in the series but never played any of the games. Looking up a review, it still looks pretty fun!

People mostly seem to be complaining about the gyro controls, but I'd say this is likely to have analog control as well.

@Bunkerneath Read the article, mate. They're playing the Bethesda games before anything else on the Switch. Which means they bought the Switch primarily to play DOOM on the go, and then buy Breath of the Wild later on.

Bethesda's support has been amazing, actually bringing all the new DOOM and Wolfenstein titles over, and giving them (so far) good ports. Even Skyrim had a good port, although it's definitely worth calling out that it's overpriced.

Can anyone confirm if 1550 Kc is a full-priced release? I'm guessing it probably is.

I've picked up Lego City Undercover, NBA Playgrounds 2 and Goat Simulator for 50% off, all for multiplayer purposes. Also picked up Starlink for 70%, which is about the right price for that game. It's gorgeous, impressive and repetitive.

Probably getting: My Friend Pedro, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3, Ni No Kuni, Witcher 3

Poor wallet-san. And there's way more indie titles coming than this lists implies. Plus probably a Nintendo Direct or 2 before the year is over.

I don't particularly like Roguelites but I'm thoroughly enjoying this one. I think it's still 20% off now, in case anyone's interested.

Free camera control in certain areas and pokemon in the overworld are definitely good choices. One step closer to the BotW Pokemon that most of us want.

I like that they're specifying "game scheduled to launch in 2019". So don't hold your horses for too many surprises, because the second half of 2019 is already packed. Would love an expanded look at Luigi's Mansion 3 and Animal Crossing if they're still slated for 2019, though.

As for EA, vote with your wallet on a case-by-case basis. Unravel 2 is a good port of a great game. If they're doing crappy ports of games (FIFA), don't buy 'em. Of course I might as well be talking to a scarecrow due to how popular football is. I'll wait for Mario Strikes, thanks.

Everyone's rightfully complaining about this not being a trilogy and this probably being overpriced... but I do want to mention Okami HD, which is kind of a steal at $20 ($15 on sale all the time, like right now).
