It's disappointing to hear but it makes sense from the anti story miyamoto who finds inspiration outside of games and the toy like nature and nostalgia poking I'm thinking of in Mario Odyssey and wonder. I haven't played miyamoto's passion, Pikmin though.
I see games as ART! They encompass every other art form and science, maybe some harmonize them better than others. Some bigger games as art picks for me would be Meg's monster, venba, everhood, maybe wavetale(though the actual gameplay might hurt it, excessively powerful movement, bleh combat)
Megaman seems like it's in a interesting spot since there's plenty of indies covering the 2d gameplay. Don't think they'd make a MegaMan legends 3 but at this point I don't think it would have turned out the same, original plan for the story some people seem interested in.
ffix ended up being my first final fantasy, played it on switch though. i thought it was alright, i didn't need to take breaks from it but it didn't hit me either. i like the character designs and some abilities. i guess i'm not ready for a remake unless it's radically different, but good for the fans if they get something more faithful, don't know if that's what they want though.
i don't care if pirates get away with it anyway, gamers aren't smart with their money, if they like it they'll throw some at it and recommend it, but additionally this is going to be a problem for randos that didn't do anything and way down the line.
It is better that ten guilty persons escape than that one innocent suffer
said it before but i think gamefreak actually resents pokemon and nintendo, they have to, they keep putting their other games on every other platform and they even pretty much remade pokemon quest without pokemon(pandoland).
When did Hades come out? (Dec 2019) Is this the delay chasing after its success ending? I enjoyed it a lot, but was it that big? to sort of have a few isometric rouguelites coming around the same time? Well it'll be nice to have something like it, is that buddy for 2 player or you always have them around?
I actually wanted to get my switch in time for arms, I just wish they didn't require you to win the bonus rounds to progress in the single player since some load outs are just awful in those modes.
@RupeeClock thanks for the answer though I initially thought I heard of switch releases of games doing well and it probably paying off.
About the game. Comparing it to Mario confused me at first but I see animations and poses like Mario and Luigi series, and kind of sped up moves from 3d Mario. Are there rpg elements? I thought they were comparing it to super paper mario, I see it. Really got to see this game in motion.
Is that why they price hiked? Btw did welcome tour have a physical.
You know as a late response to the switch eShop having a price floor of 2usd I noticed some bundles being sold to somewhat get around that. Hard to imagine that happening much for these switch 2 games though besides maybe sonic/sega since they've them before. I'm just thinking would they do a package deal of ff7r and bravely for a real physical release and charge more?
Come to think of it they might have done this to me with the first switch and I got mine a couple of months late. Said I couldn't order just the system and gave the choice of a mk bundle or 1 with botw, a season pass for it, and a carrying case and told me I could return what I didn't want to keep, which I didn't bother with. The case was nice enough. The stuff wasn't packaged in a way where they couldn't have just sold me the switch.
Side thing ain't it funky there was a season pass for botw so soon? Think Nintendo said it's cause they had a lot of ideas they couldn't get in in time but it ended up a pretty pricey expansion for essentially 1 dungeon and they made the extra expensive totk instead, I enjoyed them, but doesn't sound right.
I hear the backwards compatibility is due to emulating the switch 1, will games that crashed on switch 1 work better? Or I guess is there a innate performance boost.
Was fun but when it bugs out or crashes I've lost multiple runs of progress, weird thing to bother me in a roguelite. It's not hard either, I rarely actually died, I'd say the power curve is in your favor, but bosses layer multiple attacks and I more try to erase them than anything. I haven't had much of a chance to play the other weapons, they don't seem good and don't get to use them outside of the initial unlock. It's fun it's fun, I don't want to discourage someone from playing it, but It needs a patch though.
It's forged! Take a bite to verify it's not homemade! Then again I suppose you could blend and remold 1.
Anyway I like the idea of the case but was thinking it's just dragon shaped, zard has a belly, twig arms, and a long neck right? There's also the wings, but i guess the tail is alright. Just mentioning cause I wonder how much the pokemon specific branding boosted it. Ptcgp has been popular too. Or cheetozard is a little funny.
Think I'm going to wait for a special deal on the switch 2 while I tackle my backlog and when/if I get a switch 2 I think I'll then be more comfortable taking my current switch on the go, might even be able to play the same games on either too.
Started playing yesterday it's fun, but it's crashing again I'm sort of losing multiple runs of progression. I think I'm going to need to put it down until a few patches but I don't know if I'd be aware when they come.
Edit: beat it, yippee
Edit edit: tried a run with another character and it froze before I left the hub
Currently enjoying 11s after finally getting over my fear of continuing my demo save file from 2019(I might be overleveled despite being able to avoid many encounters?). It's loooong but the story is wonderful, or atleast it has plenty of truly joyous moments. Get on it.
I can see the use of joycon mice if you want to play a shooter on the go, like sitting at a table somewhere. I don't know if I'd use such a feature at home.
Really didn't like Celeste... Part of that could be cause I beat it in 1 sitting the day before smash came out, also I played slime-san a while before it which I enjoyed more and paid less for, but I did recently wonder if Celeste's super success was just lucky. I remembered cursing when I got a upgrade in the game because of how precisely they wanted me to do everything, there's 13 kind of spikes but enemies were nothing, I had to go ahead and kill myself after saving myself from dying a few times, I don't think it being cutesy and the main message work with all the death, a crow stops time and tells you you can air dash before you even reach the mountain, game tells you the strawberries are unimportant then ***** on you at the end for not getting enough. Guess the animated character portraits during dialog were cute.
I'm never satisfied with their games except for curse of the moon. Feel like they've always just been pumping them out. Hoping for a longer gunvolt burst or something that uses the weapon configuration system, and just a game with the empress in it cause it's such a cool design.
Heard of it before, I'm surprised. Almost thought it was too old or niche. Looks like it came out in 2008.
Speaking of undertale I've been enjoying last command which has similar gameplay to it and just shapes and beats, kind of nier automata vibes. I think it's made by the same guy as rabiribi.
Doubt, would be a odd lesson from people being confused by the Wii u for the switch 2 to look the same without looking closely.
That aside, less portable is kind of a bummer, dashes hopes of more vr experimentation, but I guess that'll give it more room for what it needs to play certain beefier games, even 1st and 2nd party ones since I hear and saw first hand that performance hasn't been perfect lately.
Bigger bummer! No bringing back Wii pointer controls.
@Serpenterror I recently played the original, you don't really explore and it sort of like a easy Megaman zero like and similar to their retro style bloodstained games. It was alright. I was aware of a sequel being made and was more interested in it before seeing this trailer cause the characters look they'd play the same. Edit: 1st trailer might have been better.
