Re: Talking Point: What Would You Want From A New Star Fox Game?

abe_hikura

I just can't do another Starfox/64/Zero remake. I love StarFox but unless we are getting g a drastically different experience I can't do another Andross has invaded the lylat system and fox must battle from Cornera to... yadayada. I've done that three times now, in games that play pretty similarly to the NES original.

Re: Review: South Of Midnight (Switch 2) - A Port That Compromises What This Enjoyable Game Did Best

abe_hikura

Shame the Switch port is shaky.

I really enjoyed this when it launched on gamepass. Loved the story, loved the world, loved the music but man the combat is the most okayiest thing to ever okay, in the history of OK and the legends of K.

Not bad, not good, the combat simply is.

In the grand scheme of "this could have been a movie" I think I prefer okay platforming and combat over the quick time fests of the ps3 era.

Re: PSA: Switch 2 Update Adds Handheld Mode Boost, Here's How To Use It

Don't get me wrong, LOVE this. This is litteraly the one thing I've been asking for since the S2 was formally annouced.

But I do wish we could also set it on a per game basis. Because there will be games that I want the touchscreen for (though I did see someone say one game still had touch controls apprently the dev still had it enabled in docked mode.) And some I want the better performance

Re: Talking Point: After 30 Years, Is It Time To Reset The Pokédex?

I think a hybrid approach, do the Gen V thing of locking most of the Dex away but not all the classic mon, use the lock to not only give the new monsters room but also give some more overlooked mon a chance. Not that they'd ever lock Pikachu away, again, but players would be far more likely to give the other electric mice a try without "the chu" being an option.

Re: Surprise! 'Skyrim Anniversary Edition' Lands On Switch 2 Today

abe_hikura

@MojoMonkey98 From what someone else said the Switch 2 version is a separate thing from the anniversary edition, which was an add-on to the original release. So in theory... MAYBE, buying the Anniversary DLC should give us access to the digital Switch 2 version, but it very much needs testing to confirm. It might be like Hogwarts, where you had to access the store via the physical game to see the offer.

Re: Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition Brings The Apocalypse To Switch 2 In 2026

abe_hikura

Will likely pick this up, wonder if it has mod support since it evidently based on the latest version of it.

I really enjoyed playing Skyrim Anniversary Edition with all the creation content integrated in, would love to do the same with Fallout on Switch 2.

Though I think that "150" number might be misleading, as the dog breeds and weapon/armour paints are available separately and together.

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Pokémon Legends: Z-A?

abe_hikura

Like many I really like the gameplay, both the battling and the "cozy stuff" but the city isn't grabbing me. Most of the "Wild Zones" are just bits of the city that has more pokemon and not interesting places to explore/visit. (I do like it is acknowledged in game that its not a great idea)

Re: Game-Key Cards A "Sales Strategy Decision", Says Resident Evil Requiem Director

abe_hikura

@Shepdawg1 same sort of thing here. given a straigth choice between a GK and Digital game I will probably pick the digital unless its a game that my kids will want to play too (woo lending) or one I'm not too sold on (woo resale), but I will not turn my nose up at saving money (GKs go on sale with some frequency, and stuff like Street Fighter you save money picking up the GK even at full RRP)

What I don't understand is the folks who want Code in a Box instead. Like, I get the argument it's pure digital, so they don't have to carry the card around just to access the digital version... but the pure digital copies haven't gone anywhere, they can still pick that up.
