Re: Surprise! 'Skyrim Anniversary Edition' Lands On Switch 2 Today

abe_hikura

@MojoMonkey98 From what someone else said the Switch 2 version is a separate thing from the anniversary edition, which was an add-on to the original release. So in theory... MAYBE, buying the Anniversary DLC should give us access to the digital Switch 2 version, but it very much needs testing to confirm. It might be like Hogwarts, where you had to access the store via the physical game to see the offer.

Re: Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition Brings The Apocalypse To Switch 2 In 2026

Will likely pick this up, wonder if it has mod support since it evidently based on the latest version of it.

I really enjoyed playing Skyrim Anniversary Edition with all the creation content integrated in, would love to do the same with Fallout on Switch 2.

Though I think that "150" number might be misleading, as the dog breeds and weapon/armour paints are available separately and together.

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Pokémon Legends: Z-A?

abe_hikura

Like many I really like the gameplay, both the battling and the "cozy stuff" but the city isn't grabbing me. Most of the "Wild Zones" are just bits of the city that has more pokemon and not interesting places to explore/visit. (I do like it is acknowledged in game that its not a great idea)

Re: Game-Key Cards A "Sales Strategy Decision", Says Resident Evil Requiem Director

abe_hikura

@Shepdawg1 same sort of thing here. given a straigth choice between a GK and Digital game I will probably pick the digital unless its a game that my kids will want to play too (woo lending) or one I'm not too sold on (woo resale), but I will not turn my nose up at saving money (GKs go on sale with some frequency, and stuff like Street Fighter you save money picking up the GK even at full RRP)

What I don't understand is the folks who want Code in a Box instead. Like, I get the argument it's pure digital, so they don't have to carry the card around just to access the digital version... but the pure digital copies haven't gone anywhere, they can still pick that up.

Re: Virtual Boy Is Being Added To Nintendo Switch Online

Additional: I kinda wish this wasn't a NSO thing. Like you bought the accessory and you hot the games on a card.

Like I understand the NSO controllers are best used in their NSO apps, you can still use them on other games. This is only useful with the NSO app.

Re: Nintendo Direct Announced For Friday, 12th September 2025

abe_hikura

I'm not expecting anything like Animal Crossing, Fire Emblem, or a major Mario title for this year or early next.

These are system-selling games, and right now Nintendo can't keep up with the demand for it being "new" and this Christmas is going to be the gift, no point in dropping those hype nukes yet.

Re: Talking Point: Would Drag x Drive Be Better With Miis Or Non-Mouse Control Options?

abe_hikura

Based on my play time in the test, I think the controls just don't matter; you could give this the most amazing regular controls ever devised, and it wouldn't do a thing.*

The game is just completely devoid of any personality, style, or charm, and it's particularly off-putting for the house of Mario and Splatoon to release something with such devoid of visual creativity.

*Personally, I liked the mouse controls.

Re: Kirby Air Riders Direct Revealed for Tomorrow, 19th August 2025

abe_hikura

Kinda suprised we're getting another direct after the Indie and Partner shows.

I have never played the original, not even sure I've seen more than a couple of screenshots. It's been interesting watching the new one, prompting one of two responses "What game was that? Oh that thing", and "hell yeah! can't believe we're getting a sequel, give it to me now!."

Re: Review: WWE 2K25 (Switch 2) - The Best Wrestling Game You'll Find On A Switch

abe_hikura

I had high hopes of this being the defiantive way for me to play my insane little universe modes without hogging the TV and boring the family, but not being able to access the community creations that use custom uploads is crippling.

Sounds great for everyone else, but the community creations thing is huge for a lot of the player base, throw in it being full price when heavily discounted on other platforms, and arriving long after the other versions, and I suspect we might not see more WWE.
