I'd happly pay for "Mario Bros" remakes of the various Mario games.
A "proper" 2 player co-op 3D Mario would be awesome, just thinking about it is giving me world of illusion flashes

This bothers me, just think of all those games that used Mii, we could have got sequels with BOTW ESC characters

I have this on Xbox early access it's evolved a lot whilst I've had it.

I like it a lot. It obviously shares DNA with surviving Mars.

Judging exclusive by the art I prefer the Japanese one but its ruined by the... warning text? So I voted against it.

I'd "get" the JPN cover if the series was about toy soldiers.

I just knew this was going to be poor the second the first trailer appeared and for some reason the CGI cutscene didn't match the CGI show.

Then the first gameplay appeared and it looked super bad but I saw wayforwards name, had a little hope that the full package might be something more but nope games still bad.

I don't get why though. The IP can certainly support a game, the studio isn't crap, and its not like this had to be rushed out the show its named after finished 2 years ago, and the games set up doesn't seem to tie into either of the other Arcadia shows, both of which are finished, or the upcoming movie.

I'd love to see Urbosa but that'd be another Sword users and I think Smash is tapped out of sword users.

I'd settle for literally any spear/staff user, I don't care if its Krystal from Starfox, one of the million in Fire Emblem, Lu Bu from DW, or Mipha from BOTW.

@Kriven I'm confident that's one of the reasons MS bought Bethesda to secure their content (and that ORION streaming tech they showed off last year.) for the "streaming wars".

@MrGawain In theory I agree but its not like the retail model hasn't stopped the annual recycle of CoD or sports games making stupid amounts of cash every year.

Plus if memory serves gamepass "pays" developers based on metrics like how often the game is installed and how long players "engage" with it. So if the game does poorly they earn less money and might not get invited back next time.

@Medic_Alert Plus its makes a lot of sense to let people who aren't your customers to get a "taste" and then BOOM Doom 3 on Xbox and PC

I really want to like this, its made of bits of things that I love but there is something about the combat that's putting me off, and I'm not too sure on why.

The EU one is least "the worst" and reminds me of a manga cover.

if this was another game I might be worried.

But this is exactly what happened with Bayonetta 2. It was revealed super early in the Wii Us life and ended up as one of the last big games on the machine.

@Bearzilla823 The legend is the Mario Land team was really unhappy about being forced to work on an IP they didn't make and so made Wario as an insult/jab at Mario as a character.

I really dont want it to be Springman.

Not that I don' like the guy, he'd be a solid choice being one of the box art characters and all.

But having an assist trophy be "promoted" in the same game is just going to open a pandora's box of Waluigi and other assist's fans at every DLC reveal and tease that will never stop.

I dislike the US cover, It could easily be the cover for a high fantasy game, all the others are clearly cyberpunk

I just don't like any of them.

The US one is probably the best in terms of the art but at the same time it could also be for any sonic game after the first one.

Don't get me wrong I'm not opposed to an E3-less "E3 season" but man breaking it up into 30 different events is just a pain.

Man, this game disappointed me at almost every turn. On paper it sounds like gold, Xenoverse but with lots of anime characters and you can different fighting styles.

The story was meh, the art style is bothersome, the AI is pants on head stupid, and is filled with annoying design choices like having a sword-fighting style and sword cosmetic items but your character only uses their weird not a sword spirit thing.

I just dont get why I should need both the steelbook and the standard case. It first happened with OoT3D and now both cases sit on my shelf, annoying me.

before I clicked the article I decided I would tap out the second Melee was mentioned, 2nd sentence, later than I feared earlier than I hoped.

I used to care, okay care is too strong of a word, I paid attention to this sort of thing but it usually boils down to "but I want money for melee" you just don't get that sort of thing with the other eSports, you don't see people complaining Activision doesn't sponsor Modern Warfare 2 tournaments in 2020.

Star Trek birth of the Federation sparked my love of 4x games, which I'm currently playing in the form of Civ on Switch.

And... That's about it for my TrekXNintendo thoughts.

Star trek has be dying for an game for such a long time. I wonder what it would of been like if CBS approved of Bethesda and Biowares respective pitches

Non triforce Legend of Zelda character.
Non sword Fire Emblem character.
Non clone Star Fox fighter.
Monster Hunter. (Multi weapon like Byleth)
Dragonborn (multi weapon)

And Geralt, I don't actually want him in but he might as well add smash to crossovers.

I like E3 its the closest thing to a gaming holiday, sure the news can be underwhelming or not come to pass for years but it's the one time of the year when gamers are "looking" at the one place and all talking about it.

I think it's "fine", not bad or good.

The games I'm currently playing are at the forefront which means switching (between digital) games I'm actively playing is quick.

It's is a bugger if I'm going looking for something in particular. Of cause I'd like extra features but I can easily live with the current home UI

I was playing the XBLA demo and it just stops and the narrator goes "throats getting a bit sore, I need some lubrication" or some such and it threw up they buy now option.

It was too smooth it not reward

At this rate we're going to be able to have a smash bros esc crossover game featuring a dozen franchises and be able to have a cast consisting only of Geralt

Remember when Ultimate was "clearly just Smash 4 deluxe", how it was a "disgrace" that Nintendo would charge full price, and how it was going to "bomb".

Well that didn't play out.

Man the environment artwork is fantastic

@Stocksy Normally a retailer will send you a code, or the code will be in the game box.

Japanese one... not that the artwork on that is good (it really isn't) but the other two make me feel like I've wandered into the wrong chatroom

tell you what, I'm entirely up for a series of retro remasters where the artwork comes from their 90's cartoon.

@fluggy Don't get me wrong I agree but Game Sharing (on both PS4 and X1) isn't really intentional it is just a loophole in the "play your games at your friends' house" account system not an official feature.

If MS or Sony decided to close it (like Nintendo) they need the other to do it too, I know more than a couple of gamesharers who'll happily jump ship if it means not having to buy "every game"

Game itself is interesting enough, for a fitness game

Japanese. It features the same muppet art as the euro one but without the super FX advert text.

I'm sure this has to do with the classic issue of licencing and actually getting games on the service. Third parties don't want to launch their classic titles via Nintendo when they can do it themselves and make all the money. Alternatively, the game contains, or the game itself is an IP without a clear owner.

Do yourself a favour and only expect Nintendo made games on these things, that way the other games are a neat surprise.
