I'm sure it would be hard to run the newer games on switch but the remasters and Ports of classic entries would be cool. I'd pay for some sort of campaign compilation release on switch.

We've seen weird actions by Japanese developers on English voice casting before (Kojima getting Hayter to audition for MGS3 despite the JP VA not having to), it's usually because they want rid of the current VA and than "saving money". Hale is one of the biggest and most prolific female gaming VAs I doubt they are playing her below standard rates or she would accept such a job.

Note: it seems Hale is liking Taylor's tweets, suggesting to me there is something going on like what 762 mentioned.

I've had Dorf' on PC sin e release, it's one of my go to pallet cleanse games between big games.

The antique shop selling old power ups is great.

I opted for the Japanese one simply because it looked more like the game, the US/EU one could easily have been used for a "Resident Evil 5 3D".

@Bizzyb That might have just pinged something, that this game reads like it's connected to the mobile game. Not narratively or anything but like how Lets go Pikachu/Eevee was their attempt at converting Go players to Switch players.

I really wish I knew why I'm not feeling this. I love Fire Emblem and bought all the games since we started getting them again, but for some reason, this just leaves me completely cold.

I'd rather a Switch 2 over a Switch Pro.
Give it full backwards compatibility, stop making regular and OLED Switches and cut the price of the Lite.

Let the Switch Lite (call it classic or something) take the 3DS's role as a "budget entry-level" device and since it has full BC third parties can still make S1 games without alienating S2 owners (being able to support both gens with one game seems to be this generation saving grace for third parties).

Specs-wise id' settle for somewhere around Series S level (since MS is obviously going to keep incentivising devs to aim for that ball park as a minimum anyway), it'd be cool to have a booster dock.

Harvest moon 64 was the first in the series I fell hard for, hopefully it'll end up on our NSo soon enough.

Considering they managed to wangle Pokemon Bank on the GB Pokemon games for virtual console, there could be some functionality for stadium/2, it'd be weird to include these without something. The GC ones at least had a story mode.

@Anti-Matter Seems so, the romance options don't seem linked to player gender this time around.

For some reason, I'm not feeling this and I'm not overly sure why. I was excited when it started but the further into the trailer the more "meh" I grew. Maybe when a demo launches it'll convince me otherwise.

I'm not sold on this for Switch (great for the n64 though). It seems like a needless middle ground between the N64 styled Switch controllers and something like the 8bitdo pro controllers.

I hate, actively hate, the fact I can't get on with this franchise's gameplay. I enjoy a wide selection of RPG gameplay and for some reason, the Xenoblade gameplay just bothers me.

@CANOEberry There was a massive poop storm a few years back because they changed the rules about fan content and drastically altered what they could and couldn't do. It not only caused a bunch of in-progress projects to get C&Ded but also existing and established fan content got put in the crosshairs.

They backed down a bit, saving the existing content but still crippled the new stuff. Time was Trek fans could produce entire seasons of content, now they are limited to very short films.

It's like peering into an alternate reality where Star Trek got more games.

What's the co-op situation like? Koei's been a bit weird with the feature recently, they freely acknowledge its how a lot of players enjoy the franchise but have gotten really weird at supporting it.

It exists, the works done. Just throw it in as a NSO extra or give it out (digitally) to owners of 1-2 Switch.

I think a detail a lot of people miss when Nintendo talks about the Switch's life span is that it also includes the time it co-exists with its follow up. The 3DS lived alongside the Switch for what 3 years, that'd be a out the third of its life

I also wouldn't be surprised if these aren't firm "years" but more life states like new console - prime - old console.

I really don't see the Switch existing as Nintendos main console once third party support for X1/Ps4 generation dries up, but I can see the lite, like the N3DSXL, living on for years after the next console hits.

It's nice to have some UK accents, it helps separate the series from the endless anime RPGs dubs and translations that exist.

@AlienX I've just assumed Ultimate is being used as a big end of an era thing, just throwing every character ever at it and then what ever comes next is going to be some "evolution" of the game and with a much smaller roster (with hopefully) different moves (so every character is technically new".
There was some instantly dismissed because its clearly BS Redit rumour that Ultimate would be Sakurai's last Smash and the "new guy" was pushing for a more narrative approach.

Got this feeling we're going to see some concepts for characters that didn't make the cut.
