@RupeeClock With Nindie presentations, it's surprising how often that the games I want only seem to appear in the sizzle reel. It's a strange pattern. I guess my gaming tastes aren't in tune with whoever runs nintendo's Nindie presenations.

Cameras would have sold better during the pandemic.

If a new Just Dance is bundled with a camera, I would think they'll sell more. After seeing just dance on xbox one with the connect camera, just dance + camera seems like the ideal/superior way to play.

Yeah, I noticed when you ride a railroad track, you grind/manual if you're on a bike. It's a nice touch.

With such a weak battery, and the same matte coating that switch 1 had, finger touching will show wear in 1-3 months, I can't ignore the planned obsolescence. On top of the less consumer friendly repairability for the console and joycon 2. This is why I will score the console low in votes.

@nintendolife The lack of a weaponless, musrhooms only, or coins only racing modes, and now this update killing track racing online, WTH is Nintendo doing?? This is very frustrating for early adopters that loved mario kart 8 AND shelled out $80 for MKW.

For what? So Nintendo marketing can purposely keep online tracks or weaponless online racing modes hostage for a mysterious number of years until their marketing team want's to drop these modes into a direct? Modes that should already be in the game.

How many years do I have to wait for these basic options for my $80 game? This update has marks where my MKW starts collecting dust for online racing.

I'm already over racing MKW online because blue shells & shocks ruin the race when you're winning. So, online racing is already collecting dust from me.

Mario Kart World needs a weaponless racing mode badly, or mushrooms only, or mushrooms & coins.

And battle modes need smaller maps like MK8 & MK7. These giant maps ruined the modes.

I thought this was supposed to be a launch day title? And I was surprised & confused last week or so, when I noticed it wasn't even on eshop.

DK Bananza is the new Luigi's Mansion(gamecube)]. Everyone was expecting a new 3d mario on gamecube, assuming we're getting a 3d mario/Mario 64 sequel, but we got not-mario & got Luigi's Mansion instead.

Although, at least DK is a 3d platformer. We'll see it's it reviews well.

Adding tempered glass is a day 1 step for switch & switch 2

My launch switch and OLED screens remained perfect because I put tempered glass on them day 1. I've been very pleased with amFilm 2pk w/ alignment tool for switch 2. The tacky dust removal film and alignment tool make this the smoothest glass install I've done.

What's the point of controlling novelty vehicles for 30 seconds? The blue speedboat, literally designed like a speedboat, just sloths & floats on the water like a dying whale - no speed. The semi truck is fun, but too short lived. UFO, too limited on control, speed, and time - I will applaud beaming up things. All of these novelty vehicles to posses could easily be more amusing and worth tracking down more than once or twice.

I put switch 2 side by side with my OLED, and I struggle to see a difference. If I only saw the screen and not the consoles, I could guess wrong as to which was which.

YES! A new single player!? I think splatoon is prime for a fuller single player experience. I'd love if this is coming soon.

@TKundNobody I registered for MKW bundle with nintendo immediately when the direct ended, meet the requirements, and still haven't gotten an invite. I only got an email two weeks ago saying I'm in the queue. I guess I'm fortunate I landed an in-store preorder elsewhere.

I would have thought there would have been some charm, or more charm, to this. This video did not help.

@Ganner With out an invite email at this point, I would start thinking about trying to land launch day switch 2 at a retailer. Jake Randall's youtube has been a very good resource foe knowing what's going on at different stores, and his channel is focused on helping people secure consoles in the US. With the way things are rolling out, you can get up to three chances for a console at launch, june 4 at 3pm at gamestop (starting at 3pm, you can reserve one of their launch day consoles), midnight at best buy, then when target opens the following morning. ...If Target doesn't come through, I think Staples might fly under the radar enough you they may be a good chance of landing a console there. So, you may have four options, since staples may open later than target. With all these retailers offering in-store only consoles, I think you could have a decent chance to land a console.

Splatoon 2 was my first Splatoon, and I do like the single player. I've been dying for the option to buy Splatoon 1 single player for the Switch, my money has been ready ...and collecting dust. Still waiting for Nintendo to get off their duff and port Splatoon 1 to the switch or switch 2.

@NintendoLife I don't want a switch 2 logo broadcasting a switch inside. There isn't much on the market for carry all travel cases for swtich 2. If NL ever finds a decent DSLR camera case that fits a switch 2 well (possibly with customizable padding dividers), I'd love to see some options.

SURELY, for 85 flipping dollars, some GENIUS company that LOVES making quirky, innovative controllers could make a great switch pro controller with analog triggers.🤔🤔🤔🤔 (If you can't tell, I'm implying NINTENDO should alredy be making this alternative pro controller of equal quality & features of a switch pro controller. If Nintendo or HORI can make a damn steering wheel, you can make a switch pro controller with analog triggers, like every race game liker wants. Not a gamecube controller with less buttons than a proper pro controller, or wierdly shaped/placed buttons) We need a proper controller with analog triggers because pushing a stick up for gas is so awkward and awful, it's just not serious.

And don't say 8bitdo. I just want a ninetndo controller. But if it has to be 8bitdo, please just make it look like the existing nintndo pro controller, and not something weird looking.

After 8 years of the switch and NO galaxy 2, I'm so bitter now. I think Ninendo's NEVER going to let it out of their precious clutches. Why would they ever release it now when they could save it for Switch 3?

I can't see the Mario Kart World concept working for the switch hardware. Which makes me wonder how Mario Kart World looked & worked for the Switch before they changed it for Switch 2.

Plus, there's a rumor that target stores will have stock on launch day - these will be for in-store purchase only, not competing with bots. Target stocks new consoles in the morning, so try going when they open. If you don't see any out, ask the electronics department person if all the stock is out on the floor or if they know what day new stock is coming. If they can tell you the day they get new stock, try to show up when they open.

More info is likely to surface as launch nears. So, target may not be the only retailer offering in-store only consoles. I expect jake randall to keep on top of that.

I think the success of game key cards will be the result of whether young people know any better, which depends on when they were born mostly. I'd love to be wrong.

I'd rather pay the extra for game card that publishers won't.

I'd rather pay a $15 switch tax for the full game on a game card.

My gamestop was toxic (it closed, unsurprisingly). This is why I refused to shop there, and preferred to shop at best buy or target, where I won't get hassled.

Although, I will say, in-store-only pre orders was great. I hope other retailers do these.

I downloaded it and never saw anything interesting in it. We only care about securing a switch 2 lately. I want to know about switch 2's 3d mario, but nintendo's keeping that secret indefinitely.

@HammerKirby I think the chance of it being a fake pro controller is higher than I want to mess around with. I've already had at least one terrible misleading product from a third party seller on walmart's site. Plus, I've seen at least one post from someone with a pro controller problem, and as we probed further, it turned out to be knockoff from a third party seller on the walmart site. That seller, "Care for There", with that current $45 listing, only has one review rating, which isn't a confidence booster.😆 I'm mainly outlining these details in case the info benefits anyone else that may be reading. Joycon and pro controller prices were already too high, especially for families. $95 joycons and $85 pro cons, oof. On top of that, switch joycons and procons have gotten about zero sales in the US since 2021.

Does Nintendo need to re-assess their controller philosophy? Controller innovation is nintendo's thing, but does a family need 4k rumble, nfc reader, optical sensors for a second set of joycons for little timmy and tammy to play Mario Party? I'm not sure I've ever seen any decent joycon alternatives from third parties.

If I can play new modern games & Nintendo games with switch 2, this actually saves me money because now don't have to buy two consoles(nintendo + PS/Xbox).

Oof. Ok. Well, if I can replace a stick without soldiering, that will be a good step. The pro controllers sticks required soldering. If these new controllers are easier for cosumers to repair, that would be very welcome!

I played the GC version, with the slower sailing. I only want to play HD for faster sailing. I've been waiting for WW HD since switch launch, and I'm holding out for HD. I can't care enough to justify NSO expansion subscription.

@dartmonkey I have to avoid TOTK Switch 2 edition, because I don't want to upgrade my TOTK ver. 1.1.1. I'm too burned out on scarce resources of TOTK, and I only completed the game because of the easy paraglider duplication glitch.

I think it's kind of ironic that I never felt the need to duplicate in BOTW, but with TOTK, the scarcity of some resources or zonai devices just felt too restricting for me to enjoy the game and continue playing past a certain point without the dupe glitch. Maybe BOTW's infinite bombs spoiled me, and I can't go back to not having them.😆
