It was the later levels of Splatoon 2 single player (base game & octo) where the level desgin got more innovative and impressive. I await the full game review at release. Otherwise, this hands-on hasn't really changed anything for me. I would expect something a bit more unique from a next gen console Splatoon.

Looks like they dumbed it down for the american market. Not a fan of that marketing at all. I like the japanese commercials better.(saw them on nintendo japan's youtube)

I can get 999 diamonds & Giant Ancient Cores if I get rid of all stock for 100+ other items in my inventory, like food, apples, shields, bows? This doesn't look helpful to me.

Is it bad that I feel good when cloud games fail?

Cloud games succeeding will mean the eroding of game ownership as I've grew up with it and enjoy it.

@Snatcher The Splatoon 3 World Premier demo will allow acceess to play a tutorial starting Aug 25. (Stated in the expanded details on the World Premier eshop page) I imagine you will be able to pick your splatfest team then, before the 27th.

I'm hoping the World Premier demo will still have a playable tutorial playable after Splatfest. All three Splatoon 2 demos turned unplayable after their set play dates, which I always thought was kind of dumb, since Splatoon 2 only let us play see the game's tutorial once at initial boot up, and that's it. (Unless you make a new switch user save file JUST to see the tutorial again.)

Switch getting the second class release dates has gotten so old.

@EliSweetG Open the NSO icon on your switch home screen, then select Special Offers. In there you'll see a tile for that Splatoon 2 gear. I think you can get redeem codes from there. Otherwise, maybe nintendo support can help.

@Farts_Ahoy Nintnedo added the ability to transfer Splatoon 2 save data 1-2 years after the game released. I transferred my Splatoon 2 save data from my launch switch to my oled in december. You have to have both consoles on hand to transfer from an old console to a new one.

A new single player campaign dlc like the size of octo would be great!! YES PLEASE. (if that's what they mean)

@Anti-Matter I played through story mode of Crash Team Racing yesterday.

Im so sour about buying mk8 booster pass and nintendo's stupid mysterious secrecy and failure to deliver the paid dlc in a predictable or satisfactory manner, and mk8 being last gen console game. I don't trust them with Mario Kart anymore. Is it a flagship title or not?

That's cheating. To demonstrate performance of the new Ultimate Edition, they show a desert with few trees? Every time I've seen the game, there's always forest with LOTS of trees. Looks like they're trying to scam us.

@Scapetti Unfortunately, Disney's kart racer is going to be free to play. (disregard, if you were aware) We'll see if Disney can do better than Chocobo GP.

I'm disappointed that they seem to be waiting till the end of console's life to bring half-life to the switch.

@Screen Staffers allow exceptions for special things, on occasion. If you become a staff writer, you too may be allowed the same discretion. NL is more protective of current gen consoles/games.

If this is switch footage, this looks better than I thought it would. Looks decent, performance-wise.

I would be ok if nintendolife didn't give any attention to free-to-play games.

It's a shame that such a good looking game isn't a regular retail game.
