A single player campaign - could be forza horizon style, gta driving missions, diddy kong, or crash team racing inspired. Splatoon is a multiplayer game and has a single player camapaign, and I love it - granted it's not a race game.
Driving styles like cratch team racing had. Driving styles lets you race with any character you want the way you want. Enough with the one or two meta characters, karts, and parts.
@nervous-noodles They're having fun because my save profile is like a Funky Kong(easy mode) profile, with it's OP armor, powerful weapons, and hundreds of farmed arrows. My nieces are real young, never get into the game if they start from the beginning when link is weak.
Nintendo added assists for kids in Mario Kart it, asist mode for Mario Odyssey, Nabbit in Mario Wonder, Funky Kong in Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze. I'm just pointing out a similar option for BOTW could probably make man young kids new to gaming happy. We would have bought another copy of BOTW for my nieces if it had an easier character like my similar to my OP save profile.
@Olliemar28 BOTW could use an easy mode for kids. My nieces have racked up almost 100 hours wandering around BOTW, or catching horses, with my switch user profile (where I beat ganon already, have maxed out armor, plenty of good weapons & arrows). And recently, with little instruction, my niece also has a blast riding a horse dangrously close to guardians at the castle, seeing how long she can dodge their death beams. She loves it!😆
Seems like a huge missed opportunity on Nintendo's part.
Heck! Bring on Forza Horizon! Even Forza Horizon 2 is freaking great! In some ways, I like it better than newer Horizons.
My god though, I bet Switch 2 WON'T have analog triggers for racing games again. Nintendo BETTER make a pro controller with analog triggers. How is a console from japan, the land of drifting, not making official controllers with analog triggers. Nintendo loves making quirky controller accessories, yet still skips analog triggers. @Nintendolife if you catch any wind of an official switch 2 pro controller with analog triggers for racing games, that would make for a nice headline. (edit: Forgive me. I guess I don't need to tell you that.😁)
My niece almost smashed my tv screen with an accidentally thrown joycon while playing switch sports. I made the mistake once, and learned my lesson. I usually use the straps. I don't want to break a joycon, a tv, or something else.
In spite of not being used in a while, my PS2 slim still works like new since it's not a blasted tablet built around an anti-consumer rechargeable battery architecture. I won't be able to say the same thing about the switch if I don't play it for a year+
After redeeming free games from publishers, possibly three times previously, I've always ended up regretting it.
I've never liked the free games enough to want their icons to remain on my switch homescreen, play history, and the games will forever clutter your eshop redownload page.
If Switch 2 is $400+, the Switch will still be the budget priced console option without lowering it's price. I think Switch price could remain unchanged.
While downloading a NSO trial game, I put switch into sleep after the download started, then woke my switch a 10 seconds later, and the download progress had continued. A minute or so later, it was done.
I'm worried some peole testing this now may not have been aware of what their sleep mode settings were set at since many of us may not have touched them since setting up the switch.
@CaleBoi25 I was featured? I already read through it and didn't see that.🤣 Oh, I see now. "I assume gavin is reading this". I think they liked my opening from a message, or maybe I thought I cancelled typing a message, but sent that by mistake?🤷♂️😆 Both are plausible. Sorry Mr. Gavin Lane.<3
Oh, that only took seven and a half years. A rather ridiculous and completely unnecessary wait considering you have been able to just buy Rare Replay on xbox for like forever.
I noticed Spawn Wave's news wave today, he commented about the EOW echo menu, and I don't think he realizes you can push left to skip to the end.😆 Or, maybe he forgot while making news wave.
I don't want to know the glitches.😆 I already watched a phillybeatzu EOW tips video on youtube, and some of the tips for echoes seemed almost too OP. Although, maybe that stuff might be needed in harder sections. I'm staying ignorant for now.😁
@JimNorman I think it's interesting that after Nintendo promptly patched out out easy-duplication-glitches from BOTW and TOTK, now Nintendo's turned around and built the core of their new Zelda game around easy duplication.😆 Echoes are essentially duplication. The way they did it is wonderful, and it works!🌈 It's SO nice not-to-be-starving for resources like we do in BOTW and TOTK.
(I did love BOTW and TOTK. Although I did use the easy paraglider duplication in TOTK - it totally didn't hurt the game for me. I would love if Nintendo added an Echo mode update for TOTK.)
Gave it a 9, even though I wanted to give it a 10.
And I haven't noticed frame rate issues like I saw in a review. The game & it's echoes ability is really fun! (I think I skew toward being less sensitive to frame rates)
Thanks for the heads up! @JimNorman Another article went live, too, for Salmon Run, which gives a heavy duty slopsuit (I think that's what it's called?). So, there's two switch news articles that went live today giving gear for Splatoon 3. I have to credit @Grumblevolcano for mentioning it in the Splatoon 3 forum thread.
I was surprised I liked goat simulator 3 when I played it on my brother's xbox one. It's a much better game than goat simulator 1(which was kinda janky junk). But the visuals for GS3 are downgraded so much in that switch trailer, I have to pass.
I think the character movement looks like it may be janky. I wish it didn't, because this is a really compelling looking concept. I love it's design, but I'm not expecting the game to review well.
I wish there was a company that could just swoop in and save these great, creative looking indie games. But I know it's not that simple.

Tiny Terry's Turbo Trip!, Feb 13. I hope it performs well on the switch.
Re: Japan's Switch eShop Will Soon No Longer Accept Overseas Payment Methods
How about letting us zero out accounts on our own, Nintendo.

Re: Analyst States That Switch 2's Price Won't "Really Matter" For Early Adopters
Nintendo isn't going to make a price based on early adopters alone, so the point seems a bit irrelevant
Re: Nintendo's Surprise Switch 2 Trailer Is On Track To Surpass 20 Million Views
I stumbled upon the video by mistake when it only had 1.5K views.😆 It had just gone up.

Re: Rumour: Insider Claims That Halo: Master Chief Collection Will Come To 'Switch 2'
@anoyonmus Ohhhh, crap. licensing. I forgot already. Yeah, that probably rules out Horizon 2, or older Horizons.

Drop the team drafting mechanic. Give us some good looking cars. There's a great racer underneath that.

What if this update is a halloween prank, and our batteries will run down even faster now in sleep mode?🎃🧛♂️😉 NOOOOOoo!!
Re: Switch System Update 19.0.0 Is Apparently Causing Some Issues
Downloading with sleep mode works for me.

Re: Best Nintendo Switch Horror Games
Surprised Crow Country didn't make the list. I assume it was considered, and didn't make the list. (I haven't played it myself. So, not judging.)
Re: Random: Oops! It Looks Like Banjo-Tooie's Idle Demo Is Sped Up On NSO
Maybe the increased speed was intentional to decrease the duration of the video. I don't feel like it's intended to deceive.
Re: Random: Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom Fans Are In Uproar Over A Missing Outfit
Hood-down zelda, I'm into it! It's on the box, and marketing. It looks cool. The model already exists in the game. It should be playable.

Re: Forget 'Switch 2', Nintendo Has Just Revealed An Official Alarm Clock
$100? Oof. Seems like more of an adult price point than a price point for a kid's alarm clock.
Re: Talking Point: How Would You Fix Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom's Most Frustrating Feature?
I noticed Spawn Wave's news wave today, he commented about the EOW echo menu, and I don't think he realizes you can push left to skip to the end.😆 Or, maybe he forgot while making news wave.
Re: Best Zelda Games Of All Time
So far I approve! All on one page! Table of contents at top to jump to sections. Well done, @dartmonkey!
I haven't liked when lists/rankings span across 3+ pages. I'm quite pleased with this.

Re: Two New Mario Kart 8: Deluxe Switch Bundles Announced (North America)

MK8 $60
