With good developers & well known games strangely struggling to get dev kits, it sounds like Nintendo is relying on an automated system to gate keep rather than employing enough people to do the job. Is this just a matter of needing to hire more employees vs slashing & automating jobs?

I would only get Fever if it was free, which will never happen. I'm over Aces, and Fever doesn't look interesting. All the fever racquets looks overwhelming too.

The death of physical games is getting serious momentum with Switch 2. The anti-consumer slide continues.

Switch 2 is feeling like a mostly digital-only console for switch 2 games. The game card slot mostly sells hope at this moment for switch 2 games (or the ability to play s1 games).

Does this trailer version look stripped down and downgraded? The ground textures are strangely poor, and there's almost no grass assets.

Was Bethesda too small a company to get a switch 2 dev kit?

Still hoping for forza horizon<3 If we don't get any forza horizon before horizon 6 this spring, I will finally have to buy an xbox series. Not thrilled about the S or the price of the X.

The way sonic cars twist & steer when you drift feels too weird & unintuitive. I couldn't get into it.

If the partner showcase reveals Forza Horizon for switch 2, that would be amazing. If we don't get forza announced soon, I may have to finally get off my duff and buy a series X or S.

Ahh, my "steaming pile of dung" comment was probably about the continuing high volume of $15 or less games that are shovelware/slop on eshop. I still can't believe eshop is still this bad this far into switch 2. XD

Nobody going to an emergency call would be doing a one-handed no-footed can-can on their motorcycle. They're more work & risk than stylish payoff. Totally unrealistic. This trailer gets an F from me.😁

Rocket League and Splatoon 3 Salmon Run. I already play both games almost daily, but the switch 2 upgrade for Rocket League has been nice! I still think Rocket League is severely underrated, got it in 2018 and still play it on switch 2, and there's always a way to improve.

I got Rocket League in 2018 and still play it regularly on switch 2. This is one of the best online multiplayers on switch & switch 2.

I think its time to squeeze a couple splatoon characters into a mario movie.

I enjoyed High On Life switch 2 edition. I'm looking forward to High On Life 2 - although, I'm skeptical of the skateboard stuff.

Most of Myle's voice acting seems very inspired by Ryan Reynolds. I thought it was fine.

I couldn't get into gear club on switch, since there was always a little fence on the sides which were too punishing, just feels claustrophobic, while good racing games let you cut the corners a bit, even if it's at expense of a bit grip or speed.

Ditto on horizon, since PS got a horizon game. Switch 2 could run Horizon 2, which is still a stellar game, played it a couple years ago, loved it, even if it's not as flashy as newer horizon games. Xbox is sitting on gold - still can't believe they pulled H2 from their digital store. My money is ready for Forza Horizon.
Forza Horizon 2 is absolutely great, which should probably be the easiest one to run on switch 2, I would think. Or Forza Horizon 3. I'm skeptical of 5 running on switch 2, even if it does run on Series X. Horizon 4 is my least liked Horizon, don't like the winter season rotation.

Does digital CTR load significantly faster than the physical version on Switch 2? I've struggled to find the answer.

I'm still waiting for regular CTR to get discounted again to $13 to buy the digital version. (I have the physical version already)

The price is why I'll get it later. I'd rather not pad Galaxy 1 and 2's launch sales and wait a bit to see if it goes on sale by black friday.

The game does look great, and I have been enjoying it. I don't regret paying full price; Granted, we know ubi will likely have a sale on it 1-2 months after it launched, if not by black friday.

Even though it's a rerun, it would be great if they made brand new masks dlc to drop in a switch news splatoon article.

Star Wars Outlaws - I'm 35 hours in, and still enjoying it. Great Star wars atmosphere, pew pew! Splatoon 3 Salmon Run.

@AlanaHagues From 2016-2020, I was downright impressed with Nintendo of America's customer service phone line. It was REFRESHING to deal with them most of the time. And it was surprisingly easy to get a real person on the line - shockingly easy (but it should be that easy to get a helpful person on the line, right? It what all people want when they need help). Back then, I couldn't recommend their phone line enough.

It sounds like those days may be over. Or maybe they were over since the pandemic. I haven't needed to use NOA's support since the pandemic.

@Mortenb My gut says Nintendo's not going to allow a game to transfer from the game card to system memory for the life of the switch 2. I'd love to be wrong.😆

But yeah, if we could install the game from the game card to system memory, most of these switch 2 game key cards could be full games on cheaper switch 1 game cards.

I had a feeling this could be an issue for game cards & demanding open world games. It's a bit disappointing.

@riChchestM Nintendo is just delisting boxing 2 from eshop store front, it will still be available for redownload it or download the updates if you own it physically or digitally.

Is nintendo restricting dev kits so there's less new switch 2 games to compete with in these early months of the console?

I have 230 hours in Trials Rising.😆 I can't believe Ubisoft didn't port their previous Trials game, Trials Fusion. My money is still ready.

Splatoon 3 Salmon Run, and started a new playthrough of Splatoon 2 Octo Expansion.

Mario Kart World continues collecting dust since there's no small battle mode map for couch multiplayer (like battle course 1), and the update mostly killed the 3 lap online racing.💩

$35 seems steep when it's $25 on steam, if wario64's reference is correct for eshop. This would have been an instant buy if it's $25.

@RupeeClock With Nindie presentations, it's surprising how often that the games I want only seem to appear in the sizzle reel. It's a strange pattern. I guess my gaming tastes aren't in tune with whoever runs nintendo's Nindie presenations.

Cameras would have sold better during the pandemic.

If a new Just Dance is bundled with a camera, I would think they'll sell more. After seeing just dance on xbox one with the connect camera, just dance + camera seems like the ideal/superior way to play.

Yeah, I noticed when you ride a railroad track, you grind/manual if you're on a bike. It's a nice touch.

With such a weak battery, and the same matte coating that switch 1 had, finger touching will show wear in 1-3 months, I can't ignore the planned obsolescence. On top of the less consumer friendly repairability for the console and joycon 2. This is why I will score the console low in votes.

@nintendolife The lack of a weaponless, musrhooms only, or coins only racing modes, and now this update killing track racing online, WTH is Nintendo doing?? This is very frustrating for early adopters that loved mario kart 8 AND shelled out $80 for MKW.

For what? So Nintendo marketing can purposely keep online tracks or weaponless online racing modes hostage for a mysterious number of years until their marketing team want's to drop these modes into a direct? Modes that should already be in the game.

How many years do I have to wait for these basic options for my $80 game? This update has marks where my MKW starts collecting dust for online racing.

I'm already over racing MKW online because blue shells & shocks ruin the race when you're winning. So, online racing is already collecting dust from me.

Mario Kart World needs a weaponless racing mode badly, or mushrooms only, or mushrooms & coins.

And battle modes need smaller maps like MK8 & MK7. These giant maps ruined the modes.
