@JimNorman I think it's interesting that after Nintendo promptly patched out out easy-duplication-glitches from BOTW and TOTK, now Nintendo's turned around and built the core of their new Zelda game around easy duplication.π Echoes are essentially duplication. The way they did it is wonderful, and it works!π It's SO nice not-to-be-starving for resources like we do in BOTW and TOTK.
(I did love BOTW and TOTK. Although I did use the easy paraglider duplication in TOTK - it totally didn't hurt the game for me. I would love if Nintendo added an Echo mode update for TOTK.)
Gave it a 9, even though I wanted to give it a 10.
And I haven't noticed frame rate issues like I saw in a review. The game & it's echoes ability is really fun! (I think I skew toward being less sensitive to frame rates)
Thanks for the heads up! @JimNorman Another article went live, too, for Salmon Run, which gives a heavy duty slopsuit (I think that's what it's called?). So, there's two switch news articles that went live today giving gear for Splatoon 3. I have to credit @Grumblevolcano for mentioning it in the Splatoon 3 forum thread.
I was surprised I liked goat simulator 3 when I played it on my brother's xbox one. It's a much better game than goat simulator 1(which was kinda janky junk). But the visuals for GS3 are downgraded so much in that switch trailer, I have to pass.
I think the character movement looks like it may be janky. I wish it didn't, because this is a really compelling looking concept. I love it's design, but I'm not expecting the game to review well.
I wish there was a company that could just swoop in and save these great, creative looking indie games. But I know it's not that simple.
I would pay $500 usd for Switch 2, especially if the power upgrade is worth it. I like both modern games AND nintendo. Needing to buy a PS5 or Series X on top of a Nintendo console is even more ridiculous, which is situation for the current Switch gen.
But, I think the $500 price point would hurt console sales numbers. So, I expect Switch 2 to be closer to $400-ish.
WOW that's overpriced. Skipping LM2 for this reason. These should be budget titles, no business being $60 usd. And this is in top of the fact that nintendo ended their discounted Nintendo Select titles.
Looking good! And this year I'm finally completing the fresh season catalog (currently level 97), yay! I missed out on the seafoam cap and zedfry slip-ons last fresh season.
Fighting ganon is about all that's left in my game, but I'm never in the mood for the final boss battle. It just seems stressful. Plus, there are zero games that I want releasing for the rest of the switch's life. MAYBE, if I knew there was another big game or two left to release for the Switch, that I want, I could be more motivated to beat TOTK, but there's nothing on the horizon that I want. Where the heck is Wind Waker, Nintendo? Gee whiz.
It's a bit ridiculous they waited until the END of the switch console's life to finally add landscape, which is probably mainly for tablet's. I have the NSO app on my galaxy tablet, but I don't have much use for the app anymore, since Splatoon 2 is old news, and Splatoon 3's two years of support are close to ending (if they dont extend that).
@FishyS Ahhhhh, you're right. Now I'm embarrassed that I tagged NL.ππ€£ I'd delete the tag, but that doesn't remove the notification message that got sent to them.π So, I wonder which NL staffer's time I just wasted? On their weekend, no less.π€£ Sorry NL!<33
Splatoon 3 Splatfest & Salmon Run Rocket League Tears of the Kingdom
Even started a new playthrough of BOTW last weekend. The beginning of that game is great.
Oh, these icons (for Odyssey, and MK8) are just the NSO icons that were already released in previous years. These aren't even new or exclusive icons. If you've had NSO in previous years, you probably already redeemed the icons you want.
I missed out on Wii U and hoped Splatoon 1 single player would be added as DLC on the Switch. Looking like that's never going to happen now. If they ever do port it, my money is ready.
Independent sounds good to me. I hope it's good for them. I'd LOVE a new Crash Team Racing. That game was sick, but load times were a bit rough for online. Even with those 50 second load screens, I probably still put about 100+ hours into online racing<3
It's not exactly what I wanted for the expansion, but I still really enjoyed it. It's pretty sick. Plenty of innovating with the new baddies and twists with gameplay and color chip buffs. A weapon kit that I thought woudl suck, actually ended up more OP than my perferred kit. Took me 12-15 hours to beat (8+ playthroughs). FInal boss is very cool. Ending is good. Music is sublme. Started a new playthrough with a different weapon kit after the ending. Easy recommendation for splatoon likers.
@nintendolife I love that the games-on-sale list can be sorted by %discount or by lowest price. I know the feature isn't new, but it's very handy. Thank you!<3
@-wc- Archive game and Delete game do the same thing on the Switch, but Archive keeps the game's icon on switch home screen. Yeah, it's just a preference thing.
For me, these types of free digital game giveaways have reliably created more regret than they do pleasure - plus they really clutter up the redownload page of eshop.
I don't know how they can make a good movie for Zelda. And After Detective Pokemon and Mario Bros Movie, I don't know how much excitement there is for another story about a human intersecting with a game world. However, I do trust Miyamoto. We'll see, I guess.

That's like $105 off the console. That's a decent bundle!
MK8 $60
NSO 1year $20
If that includes the MK8 expansion DLC $25

Splatoon 3 Salmon Run

@nintendolife Is the voting list results supposed to show all of those games with zero percent?

Splatoon 3 Splatfest & Salmon Run

Good art style. I'm skeptical it can run on the switch. I'll keep an eye out for it, or a review.
Re: Zelda Producer Responds To Fans Who Want A More "Traditional Linear" Adventure
Resource farming is WAY too time consuming, on top of still-too-fragile weapons. I liked the game otherwise.
