Certainly could've been worse. The new localisation titles probably pleased a lot of fans and the new Kirby game looked surprisingly fun even if it seemed like "just another game" utilizing the triple deluxe engine at first glance. The footage of Star Fox looked nice as well, but everything else was either controversial or old news.
Upon further inspection and the general perception by those who played sticker star who are seeing this I do not have much hope for the story or the battle system in this game which are the things I buy a Mario RPG for.
As far as I know I won't be paying for a service just so I can play my games online, but the rest of the ideas are what people have been suggesting for a while.
They have Banjo and all the other rare games. Minecraft isn't. in essence, a Microsoft game. Just one they happen to own now. So really I don't see why anybody would be crying to see more Nintendo games on Xbox.
I think it was alright. They spent a lot of time on things we already knew about which I expected, but left me disappointed. The news we did get was decent. Really nice we're getting the Dragon Quest games, but TPHD looked less impressive than I expected. It was a mixed bag, really.
Truly the bare minimum. Apparently there were some changes to the game so that might make it worth it, but otherwise this'll just make it easier on the eyes when played on an HDTV.
As long as it doesn't bore me to death I'll be happy. I'm excited sure, but my logical expectations are low. As rumors start spreading around there'll be plenty of hype to go around.
@Blue_Dread True, but unfortunately not everyone cares for Nintendo games. Which of course is the reason PC and other consoles are as successful as they are.
It's great that more girls are gaming but one study isn't going to be factual evidence for the demographic install base. Even if it were entirely true gaming PCs have become extremely popular and increasingly are replacing the need or desire for a console.
His choice of words disgust me. Typical beating around the bush so he doesn't have to address the situation of the Wii U. Given how it has performed it's not like a bit of honesty is going to do it much harm, if any at all.
It deserves it. I spent a decent amount of time with it for the first couple months after launch, but after that my attention drifted away to other things. Just need to get motivated and have the time on my hands to jump back in again.
Based on the demo I'd say the feel of the game is alright, and while there is a bit of depth, it wasn't enough to hook me. Though, While I'd love to support a dbz fighter while it's fresh on the market I just don't think it's worth the buy for me yet.
Well I'm not particularly excited. For the most part it's because I don't really care for yet another action platformer and while the visuals are pleasant enough I can't see it catching many people's attention. I do like chibi-robo as an adventure game and would definitely be keen on a proper entry similar to the original.
Well it certainly looks nice, but those framerate drops are absolutely atrocious. The stiff animation doesn't do it any favors either. Content might be good and hopefully it will be fun despite those shortcomings.
Square Enix being so eager to produce these games on a system we know almost nothing about must mean something, right? My guess is Nintendo's already given them the run down on NX, at least in concept, and perhaps that's what's gotten them excited for it. Still a somewhat odd situation as none of these titles are actually confirmed yet.
Only real problem I see is that the assets are sort of bland and generic. I expect that the game will be polished and spruced up with more original assets and things of the like if funded.
In regards to framerate I can understand that some people don't notice too much of a difference but if you actually watched the gameplay the moment things get any bit intense it drops like a rock. if the game is truly 'difficult' a consistent framerate, fast even, is EXTREMELY important ESPECIALLY in a 3D action game. Of all the things that need to be fixed this needs to be the #1 priority.
@Zyph With the kind of attitude and other things that Itagaki has said in the saga since the games' re-unveiling that is honestly probably asking too much. In order to fix the games problems he needs to admit there are ACTUAL problems in the first place, as you said.
At this point the game isn't what I was hoping it was going to be, that is to say a quality game, which makes me angry that even with Nintendo's support it didn't turn out that way. That said, I'm quite sure I won't be paying $60 for it and am only interested in the MP portion of the game at the moment.
My god the salt over Metroid is unreal. I mean board based party games don't interest me anymore so that's the biggest reason I don't care for AC amiibo festival, but that game is getting disregarded pretty hard as well. I like multiplayer but Nintendo hasn't demonstrated multiplayer in a way that looks fun for any of these games yet.

Re: Soapbox: It's too Early to Judge Paper Mario: Color Splash
The game is pretty, but other than that only speculation is holding my interest in the game.
Re: Poll: Did the Wii U and 3DS Nintendo Direct Kickstart 2016?

Re: Poll: Are You Optimistic About Nintendo's 2016?
All I can hope for is that Nintendo won't disappoint us as much as it did last year.
Re: Editorial: Let's Make 2016 a Year of Nintendo Optimism
Nintendo and the companies who support them will be the only ones who decide whether I'm optimistic about Nintendo or not.
Re: Wii U eShop Exclusive 3Souls Will Aim to 'Break New Ground' With the GamePad
Forget "breaking new ground", I find it hard to believe it will even be a good game. Hopefully it will be good, but I'll believe it when I see it.

Well good luck to everyone who decides to brave the ridiculous opening crowds. It's definitely not something I'd recommend.
Re: Video: Here's How Much Those Data Packs for Xenoblade Chronicles X Speed Things Up
Well, the loading is pretty long in general so it won't hurt me too much to not have the space in my Wii U at current for the data packs.

I don't get it. They share a color scheme and theme. There's no way there's trademark infringement going on here.

Call of Duty? Didn't see that one coming.

@Henmii The batman games run on unreal. I think Ninja Gaiden 3 may have run on it as well.
Re: Bandai Namco's Project Treasure Is Now Called Lost Reavers, Beta Test Incoming
@themightyboost UE4 is not officially supported but UE3 is. However, UE4 is a scale-able engine and can, in fact, be used for Wii U development.
