Re: Analysts Weigh In With Estimates for Wii U Fiscal Year Sales

TromboneGamer

I'm starting to get sick of the term "core gamer." It irritates me because I play games on a consistent basis. Only a rare few blockbuster games garner my attention. If I'm not playing a game like the binding of isaac or risk of rain then chances are I'm playing tetris or any given 1st party nintendo game on my 3ds. You cannot define your game experience by the power of the system you play on. You can only define it by the joy that a player gets from playing the games he or she enjoys.

Re: Miyamoto: Nintendo Has Unfinished Business With Super Mario Galaxy Series

I love the galaxy games, but honestly i just want to see something new that can impress me in the way Galaxy did. Not another sequel with an upres and some new visual effects. 3D world looks a bit different and that's a good thing in some ways, it just didn't have the wow factor when it debuted. In the end I guess I just want something new and impressive.

Re: Poll: Is Nintendo's Wii U Advertising and Marketing Doing Enough?

TromboneGamer

Wii U has had a decent TV presence with games like Skylanders and Disney's Planes, but otherwise those who play games don't really know what a Wii U is or they don't care because all the 3rd party games are on current gen with more features. There simply isn't much cool factor to the wii u atm. The kiosks in gamestops are rather popular and I find that curious. There must be something about the wii u people can get into. The question is, just exactly what?

Re: Assassin's Creed IV DLC Looks Set to Sail Past Wii U

If they are determined to show their support for Wii U they had better treat this and watch dogs just like any other system at the least. They've made a decent attempt to show that Wii U is a step-up from current gen as well, and hopefully they will continue to do that through the rest of 2013 and beyond.

Re: Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition Isn't Coming To Wii U

@johndevine BTW this is not a beat 'em up. Games like tekken tag, injustice, tatsunoko vs. capcom, and the like are technical fighters. The only thing injustice lacks as a fighting game from what I hear is depth in it's mechanics. I've played it and it feels great to me. Heck I'm not even familiar with half the characters in the game. It may not be a system seller, but it's not a slouch of a game either.

Re: Talking Point: The Wii U May Be Playing Catch-Up With Some Developers, But Money Always Talks

TromboneGamer

I have a firm belief that Wii U will always get the short end of the stick in this generation just as the Wii did. Bethesda makes a good point. I've never played their games, they interest me, but I've never played them. The praise they get must be somewhat justified so what they have to say must certainly hold a majority of truth. Quality multiplatform experiences or going to be so lackluster more often than not and that's what I wanted to see change from the Wii era. All I can really hope for is that those supporting Wii U at the moment continue to push it's boundaries and deliver experiences that are fun and engaging.

Re: Call of Duty: Ghosts Multiplayer Outlined in Lavish Presentation

@AeroTech That's unfair to say about the game. That said, it doesn't look like it's doing much different (doesn't look much different either), but I think only playing it will tell whether it's just inventive enough to be fun. I follow CoD, but have yet to own BO2. Perhaps this time CoD will be treated equally (excluding xbox) on Wii U as well which is a plus (for those who care anyway.)
