Re: Nintendo: "Experience of Playing", Not Tech Specs, Key to Wii U

TromboneGamer

I believe that the Wii U's success will be based almost entirely on it's ability to compete with the competitors power. This generation will not be based on how it's controls work and apply to the games (it would be quite difficult to appeal to the core gamers this way). I love the 1st party games, but if they want more people to be dedicated tot he system it will need the power to run as many next-gen games as possible or we'll have another Wii situation on our hands. The wii wasn't bad and I loved the care that went into it's best games, but to be honest I want the Wii U to be better than it's predecessor as much as it can be.

To be honest I'm worried that the multiplayer component is going to be glitched to all hell. I mean with weapons and other objects with no "collisioning" just screams map faults (to my eyes anywho) and Nintendo would probably feel like fixing it would "Be unfair to certain players." I hope the MP component is fun and reliable, but I feel nintendo doesn't exactly know how to handle online play just yet. I'm not worried about the SP though other than atrocious Dialogue.

Been a faithful CoD wii player since WaW. I am really enjoying MW3 and the patch for lag shooting has just gone through which highly pleases me. The thing that dissapoints me most is not having 12 player lobbies. It's still a tad hard to keep the action going with a smaller player count than the other consoles. On a lesser not from what I've seen camos are still not visible on player characters[another player's camo is not visible from your perspective without actually picking the weapon up from the ground] and can only be seen from First person perspective... suppose that's not any big deal by any means, but it would be nice to show off the camos to other players you earn like Reflex was capable of.

Have the wiiware version and it's a most certainly interesting and challenging title albeit short. Not really interested in buying @$40. Might pick it up when it hit's $20 or less.
