We must admit we'd forgotten all about Electroplankton for the Nintendo DS, that was until Nintendo Life reader Marco Menzler from Germany dropped us a line to bring back those musical memories.
Marco shared with us a 3 part symphony which he created using 5 Nintendo DS systems playing Electroplankton. In op.2, Marco uses a custom cable to record the sound from one DS to another. Marco also uses a Behringer Mixer and Korg mini Kaoss Pads in op. 1.
We think you'll agree that the end result of using 5 Nintendo DS's simultaneously made a symphony which even artist Toshio Iwai would be impressed by. Currently you can buy each Plankton type separately on DSiWare, has this inspired you to compose your own musical masterpiece?

An impressive feat indeed, but it just doesn't seem to flow quite well enough to find bearable.
Would be interesting to hear what you'd get if a bunch of people where all going at once. For one guy, that was impressive.
This is lush - but of course, Experimental . .
I love this! Would never have thought it possible.
I came late to the DS, but I managed to find a second-hand copy of this at Game a number of years ago. Even so, I have a couple of my favourite electroplankton from the eShop permanently on board my 3DSXL.
The first Opus was nothing of interest, but the second and third weren't half bad.
I've always liked Electroplankton.
It's another one of those "things" that I think should have been kinda built into the Wii U and available day one on the system for free.
Super Mario Maker, Art Academy: Atelier, Electroplankton . . . all that kind of stuff.
Electroplankton! I was so super excited for this game. I was sure it would never get a western release, so it became my first Japanese import. Of course, a year or two later it got an EU release. I've still got my jap copy which came with some super cool earphones.
Ahh... relaxing...
I tend to forget about Elektroplankton, too, but it makes those moments where I remember/rediscover the game just that much more precious.
Not really relaxing, but very impressive!
Could turn out into something really good in due time..
Most of it sounds a bit messy, but overall neat I guess.
